Unpleasant first contact
Yeah so, the lady who called me on the phone was hostile. She had little patience and seemed quickly annoyed with me and the fact that I wasn't used to her particular accent and had a hard time understanding her. As a beginner investor I'm not used to the lingo, and as I was unsure about what I should include in my portfolio estimation she didn't explain anything but told me with an angry tone of voice I should look it up on Google. I almost hung up out of embarassment. Then she told me I was going to be transfered to somebody else, but she didn't say why, and when I had that person on the line they asked and I didn't know what to tell them. The 2 guys I spoke with after that were okay, and eventually I got through the process.

I had an exceptional experience with…Nick F.
I had an exceptional experience with the representative from Masterworks. Their assistance was not only helpful but also extremely detailed, which allowed me to gain a comprehensive understanding of arts investments and how they can effectively expand my portfolio. I was particularly impressed with their insights on the potential for higher returns compared to the S&P 500. Moreover, their emphasis on the importance of long-term holdings and the considerable gains it can lead to was truly enlightening. Overall, I feel well-informed and confident in my investment decisions thanks to their expertise and guidance. I highly recommend Masterworks to anyone looking to explore the world of arts investments.

Rude and condescending salesman
The onboarding phone call I had felt uncomfortable and condescending. I love the concept of the app, and have always had an urge to get involved in art to expand my portfolio as I get older. I was excited but after the phone call I felt pressured and deflated. I thought the purpose of the phone call was to just give me a rundown of the process and maybe explain more of the realities of buying shares of art. But it seemed more like a hard sale in the end as I was told I wouldn’t be accepted into the app unless I invested right then and there. I told the man I wanted to read and research more about the pieces available before I bought into one as I would with any other investment. He replied with “dude this is an investment for your wallet not your wall”. It was at that moment I decided to turn my 500 dollar initial investment into 100 basically to still be able to move forward, but also get off the phone without feeling like it was all a complete waste of my time. I’ll most likely take a different avenue moving forward with my art investments but I thought it was important to get my feedback to you. For the record I own one of the most popular coffee shops in Phoenix also a cocktail bar and mobile shop with an award winning social media presence. I don’t need to be lectured by anyone let alone a phone sales person.

Onboarding was thoroughly explained and I felt welcome to be part of your team, thank you. Masterworks is a brilliant way to be part of the fascinating, artwork action.

Smart Advisors
I originally thought the pre-investment "interview" might be a sales pitch in disguise, but it was not. Connor was very informative and yet didn't shy away from asking good questions to determine my interest and comprehension. BTW, I'm not a fine art expert.

Serge and Phil were both professional and friendly. The transaction was easy. Now, I am waiting for a return on my investment before I can provide feedback on how well the platform perfoms.

Everything was good.
Everything was great, the only thing I didn't like is the credit card/atm fee but I understand.
