Greatest website I had ever been on #goated

I’ve previously bought from Matsisland and never had issues before, but this experience was extremely disappointing.

I ordered a £440 CP Company jacket which was marked as delivered by Royal Mail. However, the parcel never arrived. I immediately checked with my building’s receptionist (who handles all parcels) and neighbouring buildings — none had received anything in my name.

When I contacted the merchant, the response was slow and ultimately dismissive. Instead of properly investigating the issue with Royal Mail, they concluded the parcel must have been delivered based on a photo of flooring and wall colour comparisons from a previous order. The GPS coordinates they relied on also appeared to point to an adjacent building.

Despite explaining that:
- Ilive in a communal residential building
- The signature was not mine
- The parcel was never handed to me or anyone authorised

the merchant refused to refund or replace the item and stated they had “fulfilled their duty” simply by posting it.

I ultimately had to raise a dispute through my card provider. After reviewing all the evidence, my bank sided with me and refunded the £440, confirming the merchant’s response was insufficient.

To make matters more concerning, the merchant’s own evidence submission even described the jacket as “Yellow”, while my order confirmation clearly shows the item I purchased was Blue.

This situation could have been resolved quickly if the seller had simply raised a proper lost parcel investigation with Royal Mail. Instead, the burden was placed entirely on the customer.

Very disappointing handling of a genuine issue.

I have ordered items here many times at different price ranges - the shipping is always fast, and the clothes are always rare and offered at good prices. Simply the best.

After following Mats Island on instagram I finally bit the bullet and purchased a stone island jumper. It came within a few days, exactly how described. Couldn’t recommend using Mats Island higher. Amazing company will definitely be buying from there again.

The shipping was very fast and reliable.
The item arrived with large loose threads on the lining and zipper that weren't mentioned in the product description, but other than that, it was in excellent condition and I'm very satisfied.
