Absolutely unacceptable experience with Mattress.ie.

I was promised delivery within 10 days. That deadline passed with zero communication from the company. I had to contact them myself via chat just to find out what was happening with my order. I was then told it would be delivered the following week.

After that, I received an email confirming delivery for the next day, stating clearly that the driver would call one hour before arrival. To ensure I would be home, I took a full day off work — losing income — just to receive the mattress.

No one showed up. No phone call. No missed call. Nothing.

When I contacted them again, they claimed the driver had called and that I didn’t answer. That is completely false. I had absolutely no calls. Instead of properly checking the situation, they blindly sided with the driver and implied that I was lying.

To make matters worse, the attitude from customer service was dismissive and sarcastic, as if this situation was somehow my fault. I lost a day of work for nothing.

I then requested a cancellation and a full refund. They said they would process it — and immediately disconnected the chat. Since then, I have been trying to resolve this issue with no proper solution.

This company shows a serious lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic respect for customers.

Avoid at all costs. Do not waste your time, money, or trust here.

my 4 star review probably seems unusual given the low ratings they get. And I didn't check trust pilot before I purchased. I've given them a 4 star for a few reasons. Firstly, Website is very well put together, user friendly and clear; secondly - price; couldn't be beat elsewhere. Thirdly, and most importantly I completely messed up the order of 5 mattresses and bedframes (I order when I was tired); all the sizes where wrong. Mattress.ie collected them; delivered the new ones and refunded the differences. It took a few weeks but they did sort it out so I will purchase from them again.

Unfortunately I ordered from this company before checking reviews, big mistake. Now that I see tonnes of 1 star reviews, it makes sense. I ordered a folding guest bed, I had phoned in advance to check tjey had it in stock and I'd receive it on time and i was told it would be no problem. I placed the order and 3 days later received a completely different, cheaper bed which I didn't want . They say they will refund the difference, but I'm not so sure they didn't just chance their arm and sent me the cheaper bed. I wouldn't trust them

I have been meaning to leave a review for a while now. Adrian and team accommodated me and provided me with a great service. The mattresses are superb quality, thank you. Aoife

Products supplied are of excellent quality and competitevely priced. Delivery to an island location was easily arranged and the delivery lads couldn't have been more helpful.

I was very happy with the delivery driver Nigel! he rang before delivery to confirm my eircode as he had difficulty finding it, he was friendly and professional. He brought in the new mattresses and took away the old with no problems.

However, I was a bit disappointed with the response I received when I contacted customer service. Unfortunately, the person who answered the emails didn’t bother to update the eircode even after I pointed out the mistake I made. Hence Nigel (delivery driver) had difficulty. It would be great if future communication could be more attentive to such details.

Overall, a good experience with Nigel, but room for improvement in customer support.

I used mattress.ie to purchase a 4ft and a 4ft 6 mattress. I am delighted with my purchase.
I only gave 4 stars because it said on site, delivery in seven days but it actually took 3 weeks.
Nigel, the delivery man arrived today, he rang beforehand to make sure of eircode and also to check someone would be at home to receive delivery.
Nigel was excellent took away the old mattresses and was very courteous and very pleasant, a lovely gentleman
I give him 10 out of 10.

I would love if mattress.ie were more intune with the customer and gave updates to inform of delays and answered their emails when a customer is anxious about their order.

I bought a Faith and Ethan capri mattress it was awful I am a side sleeper and could feel the springs. Had trouble returning it had to buy a different kind

I purchased a jubilee king size mattress..The quality is very poor I can feel the springs in the mattress…have it a year now but I will have to buy a new mattress again and it certainly will not be bought from this company…..

If you have more sense than me and have checked trust pilot before ordering from this company, save yourself a painful experience and use a different supplier.
These guys are back in the stone age. Their customer service is non existent. They have an online chat that no one responds to, you don't get a reply from email and you'll be lucky if someone answers a phone. When you do get through on the phone, you're talking with an aggressive fella who has about as much phone manner as a golden retriever.
Got my matress 5 weeks after ordering, and it only took me reaching out to them 6 times without a single communication from them.
Just horrendous.
Could be so much better with a tiny bit of effort but I get the feeling these lads haven't the capacity for improvement. They would be better suited to selling matresses from the back of a van at the local market.
As I said, hopefully you've seen this before ordering. Good luck with it if not

Bought 2 Mattresses on Mattress.ie and needed them delivered within 3 days, delivered on time and the delivery driver was so helpful, would recommend

Agree with all the reviews highlighting lack of communication, very frustrating as a customer. The mattress I ordered is brilliant for the price, memory foam 12000, very comfortable and looks well made. Happy with the purchase 👍🏻

Ordered a memory foam mattress online , after 3 days getting a call that is not in stock , choosed another type , agreed for paying in cash once it’s delivered , gave me 3 days and on the 3rd day I called them and they are telling me that it’s on the way with fastway, but I have to pay over the phone . If I don’t pay , I won’t get it next day )) or I had to wait for another 5 days for them to deliver themselves .
Good thing is that I gave up and payed more somewhere else but at least with amazing customer service and amazing mattress
Shame on you guys !!

We have ordered a bed (frame +mattress ) and after few days we weren’t happy with the mattress and I was trying to get in contact with the customer service but never received an answer . It is extremely disappointing that we have to sleep on this mattress after paying 1k

I only wish there was a minus rating!! Online order, promised delivery today. No information or contact either way. I tried to use online chat but got no response, then I phoned to be told it was being dealt with by online chat, no point in 2 people dealing with the same customer. I told him I had closed the chat due to lack of response, he said he knew what the situation was with the order but he wouldn't tell me I had to re-open online chat. So I hung up to go back online, nobody there. Then I got a call from the same rude, obviously stressed man to tell me he didn't like my attitude and he cancelled the order!!!! I have no words except AVOID, AVOID, AVOID until they get someone who knows how to deal with customers!!

Placed online order for a bed frame €620 including delivery. No update info on delivery - used online chat and told someone would contact me - that was four days ago 🤷‍♂️ Online account does not allow me to access my order or account details - i suggest avoiding this company and taking your business to a competent company.

Very very bad ... dissapoitment...was order mattress ...adversise was 3-7 days delivery... wasn't come until i was start calling over..they send me like tennis ball wall to walk after nearly 4 weeks mattress come...what a crap...that wasn't mattress what i order.... anyway that mattress what i order wasn't for me but for old lady flooding victim who lost everything 😭.....and that's why this company make me really really really upset about everything .... NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Missing 4 x feet from one of the beds & the bolts to hold up the headboard. One very disappointed child that can’t use the bed now. Contacted the company multiple times & they won’t answer messages. Have no problem taking cash & cash only prob because they don’t want a paper trail! You get no receipt on delivery either so no come back. Don’t bother ordering from here.. beds are only ok quality!

I ordered a double bed and no headboard arrived and it was even missing off the paperwork with the delivery driver
I had to chase it in a series of emails as phone calls and live chat go unanswered. Three weeks awaiting this headboard now ...

Ordered a custom size from matress.ie and then read the reviews and was worried it wasn't going to go well. Matress arrived today and it is perfect seems very comfortable and its an odd size because its for an antique bed so I am very happy with it. Took just over 2 weeks but I knew then when I ordered and could pay cash on delivery which is great
