professional guitarist on tour needed help!!
I had just arrived in Amsterdam and was starting a six week tour. I had some problems with my nut and action and my friend recommended Max Guitars.
The repair department realized I was on a time limit and took immediate care of my guitar while I was there! Not only did he address my problem he completely set up my instrument...intonation of my saddle, tweaked the neck, recut my nut, and then polished it!! Man what an old fashioned experience. The repair guys name was Marijn. He was so respectful and careful with my guitar and took an incredible amount of pride and skill with his work! Can't say enough except thank you for helping me out on short notice! Highly recommend this shop.

I brought in my 30 year old Ibanez for a pick-up swap. Had a wonderful intake conversation with Paul and decided to also go for a fret dress. Best decision ever. Paul worked his magic and my old guitar now looks, feels, plays and sounds like new! Great craftsmanship. Very trustworthy.

Sadly at my First delivered Guitar two Inlays Had been Missing.
So I drove all the way to Den Haag as I didn't want to send it in and wait for the replacement Guitar.
I suggest you make an appointment, as already stated on the Website.
I really like the Service offered at the local Store and I also like the contact by Email
Both have been very welcoming and friendly.
The Return of the Guitar was without any Problem at all.
I got the Chance to test and compare two others to make my decision and could take my time.
I also could make a short test with an amplifier to be shure that the Pickup is working correctly.
One of the Staff even speaks a little german.
All in all really fine!

The stuff made us feel unwelcome. Asking help feels like bothering the salesmen. Negative athmosphere. When asked to try a specific guitar with pedals they offered a another option which was not at all what we looked after.
Been there twice, won’t go again. Such a shame since the selection is very nice.

Top Notch Customer Service!
I was looking for a Fender American Performer Telecaster and found that Max Guitar had 5 in store. Since I couldn't drive there to test the instrument myself I placed my order together with a note that it would be awesome if they could send the one that they would buy themselves if they were in my shoes. It was a Sunday and I didn't expect to hear anything until Monday. Not one hour later Robbert answered that he would look into it himself! Long story short: Guitar arrived Friday on my doorstep. With the "No hassle insurance" the packaging would have protected the fiddle from a lot. Directly out of the box and freezing cold it was only a couple cents out of tune and instantly playable. Inbetween sending and arriving Robert sent another message wether all is okay so far and if I am satisfied. Well, I am. Very much so. The customer service is really really good and I'm one happy camper. So far I'm still in the very early honeymoon with the instrument but from a purely technical point of view the Telly came setup to Fender specs regarding neck relief, action, pickup height and so on. The neck itself is perfect, the fret job is absolutely flawless, the intonation came almost spot on out of the box. I just gave the truss rod one quarter of tightening and reached my preferred set-up. Thanks guys, it was a pleasure buying from you!

Great overall service and guitar shipment to Mexico
I am in Mexico and requested a chat on the webpage, for a not very common color and model of guitar they actually had on sale (Atlantic Deluxe Black) gave my email and they contacted me the next day. Max himself answered all of my questions patiently day by day even on weekends about the possibility and price of shipping the guitar to Mexico. He also improved the initial price. The web page (not the new one) did not allow to make the purchase or show the UPS packaging price for my country, so Max got me that info himself.
At first I wanted to pay via pay pal, Max suggested it be with the "friends and family" option, I was a bit hesitant but it is a good idea after all to keep the price low, and Max sounded very trust-able as he shows himself on the YouTube channel as well as Facebook. In the end I opted for international transfer because of card practicality for me.
I made the payment on a Friday night and sent an email letting them know. By monday afternoon Max answered that it was soon to be processed. Other staff checked all the info several times via email, then they sent the guitar a couple days later which arrived to Mexico pretty much the next day via UPS.
Then in Mexico it is another story with UPS service and customs, that part was expensive but nothing to do with Max Guitars, in fact it was a very pleasant surprise that the guitar included the deluxe case (we did not talk about this over the emails) so the expensive customs and slow service of UPS already in Mexico felt less of a bummer.
The guitar strings were cut too short in my opinion, as I was playing a bit with the locking mechanism, they snapped and couldn't put 2 of them back. I would have left 1 cm of extra length just in case, but I was going to re-string anyway, so not a big deal.
The case came with a few picks and a couple of small goodies from Max Guitars too.
Overall very satisfied with the service and the product, would buy and use again. Would like to visit if I ever go to The Hague in Netherlands.

They do not accept return for new…
They do not accept return for new product as B-Stock. And it is not indicated in their policy. Guitar just received, I don't like the tone (not my taste) otherwise the guitar is great but not for me. I asked for a return, and they not accepted. It is not so fear and I will investigate as I don't think the law is respected. I asked them if an exchange is possible in this case and I'm waiting for a feedback.
