I am an African and I live in Lithuania. I do almost all my shopping at Maxima because you can find almost everything there, but the level of racism I’ve experienced is unbearable! It has been going on for three years now. The staff are extremely racist — they respond rudely, are not welcoming, and when you ask for simple help, nobody wants to assist. They only know how to say “no English” with a contemptuous attitude and a hateful look.
I’ve never taken the time to write a review about a company before, but this time it went too far! And it’s the same in every Maxima store I visit.
Please, review the behavior of your staff, especially the female employees, because we really feel like we are treated like animals there. I almost lost control today, but I reminded myself that I’m not in my country and that the police could arrest me.

Aš esu kamerūnietis ir gyvenu Lietuvoje. Beveik visus savo pirkinius atlieku „Maxima“ parduotuvėse, nes ten galima rasti beveik viską, tačiau rasizmo lygis, kurį patyriau, jau peržengė visas ribas! Tai tęsiasi jau trejus metus. Darbuotojai yra labai rasistiški – jie atsako nemandagiai, nėra svetingi, o paprašius pagalbos niekas nenori padėti. Jie moka tik pasakyti „no English“ su panieka ir neapykantos žvilgsniu.
Niekada anksčiau nerašiau atsiliepimo apie jokią įmonę, bet šį kartą situacija peržengė visas ribas! Ir tas pats vyksta visose „Maxima“ parduotuvėse, kuriose lankausi.
Prašau, atkreipkite dėmesį į savo darbuotojų elgesį, ypač moterų, nes ten jaučiamės tarsi būtume gyvūnai. Šiandien vos nesusitvardžiau, bet prisiminiau, kad nesu savo šalyje ir policija galėtų mane sulaikyti.

Maxima is hands down my go-to store in Lithuania! The selection is amazing... they’ve got everything from fresh produce to home essentials, all at nice and acceptable prices. The stores are notably clean, the store staff is friendly and helpful. I also enjoy and signed up for their loyalty program.
it never hurts to have such a nice bonus to save even more. Shopping here is always a breeze, and I always leave with exactly what I need (and maybe a little extra especially before Xmas). Keep up the awesome work, Maxima!

Real poor quality grocery! Try another shop!
Nearly got food poisoning from one of their ready-made meals. They are also known for selling nearly expired products instead of withdrawing them from their supermarket stores.

Good prices but the quality is not always the best

Best supermarket in the Baltic countries, they’re literally everywhere and have a wide array of items.

Great store, I can usually find everything I need.
