Abysmal Service and Incompetence

Abysmal Service and Incompetence - Max Life Insurance
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the abysmal service I have received from Max Life Insurance regarding my policy surrender request.
From the very beginning, I have encountered a series of obstacles. The customer service team consistently demonstrates a lack of knowledge and understanding of their own policies. Every call results in either an extended hold time, leaving me hanging indefinitely, or an abrupt disconnection.
Attempts to resolve the issue through the branch office have proven to be even more frustrating. The staff at the branch level appear to be equally ill-equipped to handle basic customer inquiries and offer any meaningful assistance.
It is truly disheartening to experience such a high level of incompetence from an insurance company. The entire process has been incredibly stressful and time-consuming, leaving me feeling completely let down and disillusioned with Max Life Insurance.
I strongly advise anyone considering insurance with Max Life to proceed with extreme caution, if at all.

I was lured by an Axis bank Manager to…

I was lured by an Axis bank Manager to buy Ulip plans as an NRI. Invest 10 lacs in 4 years and ended up surrendering. Again a good friend repeatedly requested me to help him to meet his goals as an axis bank manager. Bought maxlife assured insured insurance plan where I was told to pay 1 lac every year for 8 years then get the double after 16 years.
I have surrendered that one as well after 5 years losing rs 225000 and obviously growth if I had had invested elsewhere.
After I studied finance in last 2 years it was eye opener. My advice to possible investors
1. Never mingle insurance with investment.
2. Only buy term insurance.
3 also buy medical insurance.
4. Strictly no money back policies at all.
5. Directly invest into equity markets by yourself about the same period as the so called plans. Return you will make can really change ur life.
6. Kick outta ur door insurance brokers, axis bank employees or othe mutual fund related buggers.
7. Only and only insurance you need for an earning member of the family is term insurance.
Thanks

Max life Term policy- think twice

I would like to document my bad experience with Max life term policy which i had taken 3 years back. As per the policy i am eligible to opt for a voluntary top up. As per policy bond, The top-up is possible during special occasion or during policy anniversary. I have been following up with Max life for last 30 days and they have been procrastinating on giving clarity saying i should contact them 5 days before policy anniversary day which is on 31st Oct. Though this doesnt made any sense, i had written to the on 25th Oct but got a standard response stating that they will revert in 3 days but even after 10 days, no response. This clearly shows they are taking customers for granted and don't want existing customers to increase their life cover. I believe the core values of customer service that i see in their website is just a catchy statement but they do not practice what they say. So i urge others to think before you take the policy from Max life, especially term policy

I tried

I tried, but I couldn't get my money out. It so occurred that the people I was dealing with were not licensed. The money I had worked so hard to get was refused to me. It was nonsensical and beyond my comprehension. To make things worse, they also frozen my account. I felt useless and helpless, unable to stop it. They'd tricked me with their lies and deception.
I found out about S I M O N C H from someone just as I was about to give up. With their help, I was able to take charge of my money again. They are the most skilled in the field and have extensive knowledge!

Be careful when you purchase a life insurance and critical insurance policy

Please be vigilant from life insurance companies and brokers selling life and critical illness insurance when they say we are offering you a policy in all good faith SAY NO and have a medical report ready to be sent to them DO NOT pay a premium until they actually have all the information otherwise they could void your policy the word ALL IN GOOD FAITH means money for them and they could decline your claim always make sure you provide your medical history to them so they don’t reject or penalise you when it comes to a claim this is a money making scheme for them they want your money and trust until you go bust do not trust in what they say read the fine prints especially from LV insurance so you don’t get discriminated

From the time I purchased the policy…

From the time I purchased the policy till I surrender it every thing was wrong. No correct information, no proper service, no alternative option, customer has to keep following up and walk to office still your issue will not be resolved. It's one of the looting company.
Though I lost more then half I invested, I was relaxed after surrendering the policy.

Inefficient and Clueless Customer Care [Not Recommended]

So, last year (April 2023) I finally got Max Life insurance which was suggested by Ditto.
Last year I had paid the annual amount at once. So did not face any issue.
I had asked them to change the payment Frequency to Quarterly at that time, but they told I can only change it next year (i.e April 2024).
So 10 days before due date (April 1st 2024), I paid the quarterly amount (while selecting the option to change the payment Frequency to Quarterly in the app).
After numerous calls and emails, till now the payment Frequency has not been updated to quarterly and still shows I have pending amount to be paid. I keep getting calls to pay the remaining amount and I keep telling them to change the payment Frequency.
Overall the experience has been horrible with the customer care. I'm sure I'll sue them if my policy lapses after May 1st because of their inability to process such a small request to change payment Frequency.

Misguidance Regarding Policy terms & condition; Non supportive

I visited Axis bank (saket branch) to discuss problems related to remaining time and amount for my previous policy started in 2017 (policy no.407993203). They tried to convince me to apply for this policy. Neither did they tell me this policy, nor did they tell me about its time. They just took my sign on the blank form and assured me that only when I would revert to them personally or via call, then would only they start my policy. I never wanted this policy, so I did not report back.

They started my policy without my consent and when I received a message for the same, I went to the bank. They told me that if I apply for cancelation now, I won't receive a refund, but if I continue for 3 years, I will receive a complete refund. So, they suggested I continue for 3 years and apply for cancelation after 3 years for a complete refund.

Firstly, they didn't explain to me the complete policy and started my policy without my consent. They instructed me to sign the policy's blank form and then to talk to my family later and give my confirmation of the policy later.

Due to missing guidance from Axis Branch saket I went to Max policy after 3 years of payment, which was 4.5 lakh (1.5 lakh per year) for cancelation as I don't have that much amount to carry forward the policy. But Max policy (green park branch)refused to help. They don't even respond to their emails at the help desk as well as calls. And because of my leading from both sides, I lost around 3,45,755 rs as surrender value.

The reason for this feedback is that I don't want anyone else to fall into this trap like me. It's better to invest in FDS than to invest money in a Max Life Insurance policy. They try to fool you around with all their terms and conditions when you want to cancel the policy.

Maxlife Not good experience

I choose a policy plan with the company and submitted all documentation, however they kept bombarding me with emails and calls suggesting that I did not submit all supporting documents. This went on for a week, after which I decided to leave them and get my initial deposit money back. This is another challenge in itself, even after my numerous declaration and freelook cancellation requests, I have still not recieved my money back.

I have had a really bad experience with Maxlife, maybe go through an agent if you want to deal with these people or best off check another investment plan.

Maxlife insurance company is fraud

oh yes, how can i forget incidence occured with Max Life Insurance Policy. This is about when i was 13 Years old. Ofcourse that was my playing age, i had no idea about what is insurance, how its works, and any kind of finance. in 2009 my father purchased a policy on my name and he kept paying premium arround 6000Rs per year for 5 years continuously. Later he lost his job and didnt managed to pay premiums, he was thinking he will get those premiums back at maturity that is arround 2030. now i am 26 years old, i saw policy papers in bag, i tried to login policy online, it says policy not found. And customer support is worst. their call center said me in harsh tone like "jo karna ho kar lo tumko ab 1rupiya bhi nahi milega kuki tumhri policy lapse ho chuki hai'. Seriously thats a very frustrating experience. i am telling you if you looking to buy a policy dont look at Maxlife, they are money eaters.
