Absolute terrible customer service
Absolute terrible customer service, phone rings , internet communication does not work, tried the entire day to cancel an order 10 hours after order sent 3 emails, sent through cancelation request, finally someone answers the phone and tells me its too late its on the truck now they want a restock fee to return it. Do not buy here, customer service sucks.

I ordered a Fat Max 4 in 1 Toolbox from Max Tools. I've been looking everywhere for one of these boxes and I finally found one sitting on their shop so I decided to pick one up through them. The Max Tool company has been around for so long and is a highly reputable & respected company in the community so I had no fears of ordering through them. It took fairly fast to ship (ordered from Hawaii) (3 days). When I arrived the item it was packaged very nicely and was very professionally done. When I opened the box I was so happy to see that it was my Fat Max 4 in 1 box waiting for me to be used. I gave it a look around and unfortunately on the side there had been a crack. I contacted the Max Tool Customer Service and had been greeted by some great people working at Max Tool. I spoke to Anthony who was a really great customer service agent who was very kind about the whole returning process. He guided me and helped me throughout my process on getting my item returned and processed back into their system. I then waited for a call back for a review on what they will do in my current situation. It took one day.. First thing in the morning I got a call and I was greeted by a gentleman by the name of Denzel. The angel came down from the sky's and have presented me with a 60% discount backed by his manager Jose. But wait... there's more. I thought about the decision and since I did come from hawaii, the shipping was quite high because of the size of the box and my location, so I requested I would just go with the replacement and return. Denzel understood my situation and went back to his manager to explain the situation and plead to his manager to give me a better deal even though he could have just made me return the product... But not these guys at Max Tools they take care of their customers here. Denzel put me on a brief hold and came back momentarily. Denzel spoke to Jose (Manager) and had came to a decision. The sky's parted and the bells were ringing. He had told me that they would allow me to keep the damaged box and they would send me a new one free of charge. WOW! What kind of company would ever do such a thing... Thankyou so much to Max Tools and their awesome customer service agents Anthony, Denzel & Jose thankyou so much for your hard work and excellent customer service. Do not believe the reviews you see online. These guys provide A1 customer service... When you think of great customer service or when you come across having an issue with your product. This is the results you would only hope to be the outcome & today it was evident that the Max Tool Staff provides the best customer service in the world. I will be doing lots of more business with Max Tool because of the Customer Service Agents I have encountered here today and this is the kind of place I will want to spend my money at now. Before purchasing my item I realized this will be a one time purchase and I probably would not comeback if not needed. After purchasing I realized how great this company backed by their staff is and I will be coming back many more times! No customer service !!!
After three weeks waiting for a bandsaw, with NO correspondence from max tools I was finally able to get in get them on the phone. I was told that it would be another three months before it would be shipped. Very poor customer service. I will not be doing business with them again.
Generator parts / Customer service
I needed some hard to find generator parts. I spoke to Brandon who understood what was going on and found a solution for me. In a couple days I received the the parts and I am back up and running. Thank you.
Received damaged/defective toolbox, horrific return procedure.
I placed an order on January 3rd for a new toolbox and was very excited to receive it. I received a quick automated reply and the order shipped within 3 days. Upon receiving the order, it was damaged and defective. I called the day I received the item to discuss returning it. I was placed on hold for >30 minutes and then disconnected. I called back and still could not raise a live person. I tried the chat feature to no avail. I was able to start a return process online. The next day I received an automated reply. It was 3 days and several phone calls before the return process actually began and they finally sent me shipping labels. I had to schedule the pick up myself with the carrier, which took another 2 days and finally the damaged goods were shipped back to Maxtool. Because Maxtool is only 130 miles away, the return was delivered the next day. Upon confirming return delivery, with the carrier, I contacted Maxtool to confirm they had received the return. It tool another 5 days before the return was checked in and then they began looking for a replacement item to send to me. I am still waiting for the item. It has now been 3 weeks since my initial order was placed and I still don't have the toolbox I ordered. I am extremely disappointed in Maxtool. Their lack of "customer service" and an extremely cumbersome process to secure a replacement for damaged/defective goods causes me to not recommend them as a source for tools.

Shipping issue
If you are purchasing only one tool and need it in less than a week look elsewhere. My order is in limbo, stuck on a truck on their loading dock with no shipping date available. On Dec 8, I was on the chat function, with Max Tool, inquiring about the shipping of a Makita Impact gun. I was down to 3 online vendors. Max Tool representative on the Chat, said absolutely it will ship out today. I ordered via the internet and paid. I emailed 2 days later because I had received no notification of the shipment. Max Tool rep was responsive in providing a FedEx tracking number but the Fed Ex site said the label was created but no other status was indicated. I called this AM (Dec 11, about 72hrs after the placement of the order) and talked to Anthony, he was very courteous and helpful, he told me that FedEx “Informed us (Max Tool) that we are limited to one 53ft truck a day instead of our normal three. He went on to say that my order was on one of the trucks that has not been picked up and I can’t tell you when it will be picked up.” He said he could not cancel the order, but I could refuse it upon delivery. I would assume then I would be liable for restocking fees. Had the rep on the chat function, on Dec 8, informed me about these possible shipping delays on the Chat, I would have gone elsewhere to purchase the Impact gun. While I understand, I am just ordering one tool and companies are placing bulk orders; therefore, I am at the bottom of the food chain, there appears to be no processes in place at Max Tool to notify an individual customer about issues with their order. Since I don’t have a company purchasing account with them, I cannot comment about that process.
They emailed me stating the tool shipped on the 8th, FedEx did not receive the tool until the 13th. Not sure how sitting on Max Tool's loading dock constitutes "shipped" but that is what they condsider shipped. FedEx received the tool, for shipping, on the 13th and it was delivered on the 19th, 11 days later.
Never again
First, 160 fair to bad customers of 1074 is not good. I tried to stop an order that was on their dock and they wouldn't stop it. Amazon then dropped it off instead of waiting for a signature. It would cost me $50to send it back. 25%of total cost. They got me! No real service from either Amazon nor Max Tool.
Waiting on hold as we speak
Waiting on hold as we speak. I have called twice and sent two emails which have went unanswered. I ordered two transfer switches and one came the other did not even though it says it was delivered. Now I go back to FED EX and the second shipping number doesn't exist. I need this to keep installing and now I am on hold earning no money till it comes whenever that is.... :( :(

So here I sit... with a very expensive tool that arrived broken and I can't communicate with anyone to resolve the issue.
Deceptive internet advertising
Deceptive internet advertising. Advertised a Honda Inverter Generator Parallel Kit that was on a Fourth of July Sale. The picture in the advertisement showed and EU2200i linked to an EU2200iC and a happy couple running their RV off of these 2 generators. MaxTool sent 2 of the same i model generators and not the "C" Companion generator. I was forced to pay an additional $100 for their mistake to swap out for the correct generator. It took daily phone calls for 2 weeks with each representative promising to make it right but then doing nothing. It's not worth the stress and aggravation to save a few bucks.
Scammed and portrayed
Recently purchased a item ,had it 1week and transmission went out. They told me to take it to my local dealer to have it checked out . I did that and found out it was the transmission. The mechanic said he would call honda and see if the warranty was registered in my name and it was not!!! It was registered to a guy in upstate New York!!!!!! I call technical support and reported what had happen Jordan at Max Tools gave me his fax number to fax the report from local technician . Local technician called me back and said fax number was not right😣 I have stayed on telephone holding to get the problem resolved. They keep giving me the runaround,after another week I finally spoke to a supervisor I told him what happened and he said he would refund my money but they said they would not paid for technician that they requested me to carry it too😣 so I'm out a lot of time and money and still haven't been refunded!!!!!! Max Tools give me and told me false information please be very careful dealing with them!!!!! It has been a very difficult and stressful time. To purchase something new and find out it had been sold and registered to another person is very dishonest if I can save one person from what I'm going though and dealing with that would be a blessing. Cant believe a company can stay in business treating customer's the way they have me may GOD forgive them

I would not shop here in the future.The problem is if you need to return anything they make you pay for shipping and if you bought any sort of power tool you'll find that it's about $400. Then they charge you a restocking fee. Amazon is a better option for shopping because of their fantastic return policy. This is a bummer because I wanted to support smaller retailers. The shipping time is also way too long to get me my items. By the time I received it I didn't need it any longer.

I purchased a new Makita 18v x2 trimmer (roughly $400 total) I received a box that was ripped to shreds and tapped poorly back together. None of the batteries were in the plastic wraps and neither was the double charger. I purchased 4 batteries and only received two. Everything was covered in grass clippings and the unit itself had scratches and paint missing in a spot. I don't understand how this could leave their warehouse. Now i'm suppose to wait for their reps to deem it "returnable" however long that may be, then wait a couple days after to get a return label, ship it back 4-5 business days, then wait another 4-5 business days to get a new unit. Total joke

Bought a scratch and dent lawnmower. The catch bag was missing. CallEd spoke to a service person. Took my information gave me a case number. Received a phone call a few days later. Received bag in mail with in a week.
