Purchased an item online on 3rd…
Purchased an item online on 3rd September. Asked to return it when it arrived. There was no information in the packaging regards address. Amanda wrote back giving address, then said I won’t be refunded until her return from holiday at the end of the month. She then responded really badly saying THIS! is why I closed my store.. when I said i had consumer rights to receive a refund within 14 days of return. Receipt of item or proof of postage. I explained that it was not clear on purchase that she was on holiday and suggested she shut operations down so as not to mislead people whilst away if no one was able to handle returns. She then told me she was now closing her shop but regardless of my return would not pay me till October 2nd and AFTER she had done her holiday washing. I was upset as I had no option to buy a different item in time for an event. I needed the refund. She didn’t care. She has notes on her social media that she Hates retail. A bizarre lady. She also told me she was on retirement holiday and basically didn’t care about my needs. Saying she had no access to her online bank.
She was in Spain.
She called me entitled for requesting my refund in legal time frame.
Oct 2nd has passed. I sent reminders. No refund.
I have now raised with bank.
Now I notice that the email reminders of her obligations after the deadline and on the final day to pay - sent in emails - are now posted on her facebook page citing me as Vile woman for asking for my refund. What a pity humans like this who are supposed to respect Consumer Law are too busy spending time on holiday to care then smear others whilst they fault to fulfil their duty of care.
