Independent Mercedes-Benz - MB Nottingham Reviews 

We are based in Hertfordshire but found a Mercedes we liked the look of in Nottingham. Having not had the best experience at our local dealership we were a bit sceptical at travelling the round trip of 260 miles but thought we would give it a go. We were not disappointed. Fantastic, relaxed and friendly experience all round, shout out in particular to Vishnu and Harriet, wonderful customer service. We of course bought the car, were kept regularly up to date on paperwork required and pick up day and time. We also bought the extended warranty and service plan which we have never previously done, mainly due to the non pushy sales approach. Highly recommend this dealership.

Had my car in for service and recall, Louise was fantastic really helpful and made the wait great. The mechanic and service desk were pro's even sorted my tyre issues out.

Highly recommended. Very professional and friendly customer service. If you want your vehicle to be assessed and assured that it’s safe to be on the road, these are the people to take it to. I was very impressed and happy with the work that was carried out on my vehicle and I wouldn’t hesitate to take it back there for MOTs, services and any other future repairs.

After finding this little Gem I took my Glc Coupe to them yesterday for an engine warning light fault. The fault was quickly diagnosed and then fixed today and the communication was excellent. A bonus also was that it came back nice and clean inside and out. Will 100% be using this garage again and would recommend to others.

Bought a car from there last September and received awesome customer service, but this July it was absolutely dire.
Arranged to pick car up at 1pm and to be told the sales person was with a customer and finally got seen at 1-50pm.
Phone calls not returned as some services were not on the car.
Horrendous experience and what has gone so wrong in 10 months?

My brand new electric car has been at the Nottingham branch for a week and no one calls you back. I have called twice to get a feedback and no one returned my calls. Today (Saturday), after seeing online and at their own door that the service department closes at 2pm, I turned out at 12:40pm to try and pick up a child seat from my car. I have been told the service department closes at 12:30pm and "sorry about that". They were completely unaware that it says it closes at 2pm!
Only after complaining and asking for the manager, I got the manager to come down and get the car key for me. Why could this not have been done straight away as a good gesture of customer service? The manager itself (woman, long light brown hair) was not too interested in my complaints and told me not to worry as "he was just a receptionist". Only when I said I felt like my complaints were not being heard she said with a bit of an attitude "I AM the manager and I WILL put everything in your file...? Adam from services will call you back on Monday".
As I told her, Mercedez cars are not cheap and you expect at least a bit of decent customer service.

The help and attention I received was excellent.
My car was in for its annual service. It was important as I was travelling, that the car came back on time. A part was needed and rather than wait for a delivery Martin organised one of his people to drive to the West Midlands to pick it up. This way the car was ready for the time promised.
As always they will go the extra Mile to maintain their promises.
I have been using them for 10 years now and will continue to give them my business.

This is my second visit to Mercedes Nottingham I did purchase a new car last year PLUS AGAIN A NEW CAR THIS YEAR and wow how I was treated was second to none the staff and the showroom are very smart the sales person Phillip Litchfield was is fantastic he keeps me informed at all stage of my purchase last year plus again this year I might say I have been so lucky to purchase a second new CLA it’s a dream to be part of Mercedes Nottingham to be treated like one of the family nothing is to much trouble the reception staff are very smart and nothing is to much trouble I have purchased loads of new cars but Mercedes Nottingham are the best I will be back again to purchase a further new car from them 10 out of 10 for smart showroom great staff

On Thursday the 2nd March I took my car in for an MOT with independent MB Nottingham. I left my car there all day while at work and picked it up later on in the evening. A few days passed and I received a call from my insurance provider telling me about the dangers of speeding and driving recklessly. I was confused by this as I am a careful driver who is very highly rated by my black box (still a fairly young driver). So I asked my insurance company to give me specifics and sure enough they provided me with 2 trips where the car had been driven ‘dangerously’ by their standards. These 2 trips were in-fact on the 2nd of March from MB Nottingham to a local garage (I now understand MB Nottingham outsource their MOTs there - not that I was made aware of this!!!). On a day to day basis I receive scores of around 80/100 on my black box to try and lower my monthly premiums. On this particular day MB Nottingham’s driver received scores of 51 and 54 out of 100. The detail from the device states that during both drives the following occurred: Harsh Acceleration, Harsh Breaking and Speeding (evidence provided in images). Sadly this meant that my insurance premiums had been increased for the next quarter.

To add to this after letting MB Nottingham know about the situation all I received was a denial that it ever happened despite the evidence being there. Additionally they said they would send me a letter which I could send to my insurance company explaining it was their fault for the dangerous driving scores - 3 weeks later I’m yet to receive this. Finally when I was asked what I’d like from MB Nottingham I said “an apology would be nice” the response to this was “I don’t know what I’m apologising for”.

Overall my experience was very poor with MB Nottingham - my recommendation to anyone thinking of using them in the future is to consider if they’d like their vehicle to be used as a rally car around the streets of Nottingham!!!

Fantastic service and very professional especially Rosie helpful throughout a nice touch to unveil the car like she did ,also a special mention for Harriet who sorted out the trade in .overall a very pleasant transaction would give 6 stars if I could and the car is amazing!! Thanks

This was my first time at MB-Nottingham and it was a great service for a reasonable price. I will definitely be going back the next time.

MB Nottingham carried out a gearbox service my C250d on 4/11/22. As well as transforming the car (it now changes gear even more smoothly) they managed to change the schedule and carried out the rest of the service at late notice. Excellent service and very helpful staff.

I have been using MB-INDEPENDENT NOTTINGHAM since 2013 to service and look after my Mercedes cars. I have always had excellent service at reasonable prices. I have just had my CLS Shooting Brake serviced on Thursday 29th September 2022 and again an excellent job done in a most professional, friendly, and courteous manner. MB&B saved our summer road trip from Scotland to Cornwall by, at extremely short notice, being kind enough to look at my 1997 SL320 and quickly diagnose and solve the problem re the hood operation. Will could not have been more helpful and indeed the whole operation had a genuine sense of professionalism, knowledge and efficient organisation.

I’m very thankful to have had Phil guiding me through buying my first car on finance, which all came together in just over a month. He is a wonderful person, approachable and easy to warm to which really stands out given the stereotypical scepticism towards the industry.

My A Class is a significant upgrade and I appreciate him taking the time to get to know my needs, his honest and realistic approach and the effort he has put in after hours. He has willingly left work late when our appointments ran slightly over on weekends, allowing me to leave through the staff exit multiple times!

Phil guaranteed a great price for my part exchange and I trusted him to help me navigate the unusual current circumstances and manufacturing shortages. MB offer a refundable £500 reservation fee to secure a vehicle and I’m so glad I took the plunge on a brand new vehicle which arrived earlier than scheduled. Personal touches like encouraging me to take a longer test drive than I would have, being on hand via text/call when I had last minute difficulty with my insurance company not finding the exact model until a day before pick up and messaging to check I was safe and satisfied after collection made a big difference. The handover on collection day was quick and easy.

Phil is the kind of person who recognises buying a new vehicle means more than just the car in some cases. I look forward to future interactions with Phil, wishing him further well deserved success.

Very pleased with the service I had a srs light on so failed mot,my local garage was unable to fix it ,so I took my Slk to mb Nottingham who found the fault and fixed it .Nice friendly people cheaper than the main dealers.Will definitely use again . LEN Smith Nutall
