McGee & Co. was created in a spare bedroom with lots of big ideas and no room for fabric samples. After many late nights of brainstorming and collaboration, husband and wife team, Syd and Shea McGee decided to take what was a small business for a stay-at-home mom and turn it into something much more.

I ordered two nightstands from this company. I had not even received them and they went on sale for 50% off. The company was unwilling to make a price adjustment or offer any kind of resolution besides restating their "fine print". Apparently, price adjustments are only available within one week. I called at two weeks.
This could have been easily remedied with even a smaller discount. Instead, they lost a customer, who needs to furnish a whole house, forever. Just bad business and really poor customer service. I should've trusted Trustpilot.
The nightstands have been sitting at a warehouse for almost a week at this point. It took three days after they arrived there for someone to reach out and schedule delivery. Just misses across the board it seems.
As requested by vendor : Order #566146
Update - Day 7 since order number provided; no further comms from vendor. Reached out via email and they are only providing me a 30% discount at this point. ($540 v. $900) Questioning them on this and will update with company's response. Day 9 - company responded and I can verify receiving the promised 50% refund.
Overall, still an exhausting experience to get some common sense customer service. Feels like their philosophy is to exhaust their resources not providing refunds in hopes their customers just drop it.

I've had a Barden couch on order for 20 weeks. When I ordered it, it was advertised as 10 - 14 weeks. After that wait time and no couch I contacted them. I was originally told that it was a week from shipping. After 3 weeks of waiting and no couch, I reached out again to be told it that the item was on backorder, however, the item isn't marked as such on their website. Very unsettling...

Ordered a very expensive console table ($1000) which had shipping fees and a $100 special handling fee. I really debated on this purchase for months given the high cost. I chose to go with it because other tables I looked at that were more affordable required assembly and I didn’t want to build another Wayfair item. All that said, the table arrived on a giant wood pallet, huge box, and dropped At my front door. No special handling whatsoever. It took me hours to break down the packing to reveal … a table that required assembly. I was left to build a $1000 table, and many holes didn’t align so it wasn’t even able to be built adequately. The wood also looks fake. Ridiculous for the cost. After a call (which I never got through), and an Email, they agreed to allow for a return. I had to follow up with customer service every other day for an update. The return was then scheduled nearly 3 weeks later. They also made me pay nearly $250 for the full cost of a company to pick up and return the item. I think it’s unacceptable to require a customer to pay this. Such a poor experience.

Disliked the colour of the ottomans once received in person, they had a strong red undertone to them as opposed to what was shown in the photos online.

They sent us damaged pendants, it has been over two weeks in battling with them proofs of the damage and they are only agreeing to return the shade portion of only one pendant when both are clearly damaged along with the chains. I now have to find a way to hang them in such a way as to make the damage parts less visible which is quite impossible given they are pendants.

We bought a wood bed frame roughly 18 months ago - took 6 months to deliver which was tolerable given the hope for quality. After using for a year we strongly regret the purchase. This bed squeaks at every movement like no other bed frame we have ever owned. My cheap college dorm metal frame bunk bed held up better and made much less noise and who knows how much abuse that bed took. McGee & Co does a fantastic job marketing themselves as a premium brand, but the reality is, we will be avoiding their products - if you are reading this review site take this review, and all the others, as your warning. It’s great they respond to every review with how sorry they are but that doesn’t come close to how sorry we are for buying this bed frame.

We own 5 of their very popular Greely Counter Stool. Our home/kitchen has even been shown and featured in several magazines and has received a lot of public exposure due to its popularity in a Parade of Homes. 3 of the 5 barstools have broken footrest rungs and it's barely been 12 months with light use. Customer service was prompt and clear. No warranty, but here is a 15% discount to buy some new bar stools from us. I get that 4k isn't an insane amount of money but I would have expected a little more effort. A lot of our furniture in the rest of our home has come from Restoration Hardware. Unlike McGee and Co, they are top-notch. Seriously best customer service of any company I've ever worked with and they've been consistently good for the decade we've been ordering with them. We've spent close to 200k on furniture with Restoration Hardware, and looks like we'll continue to do such. Stay away from the rebranded over-marked up Wayfair items you find on McGee and Co. If you absolutely love something you've seen on McGee and Co and are tempted to purchase anyway, save yourself some money and grief by doing simple google image search for the McGee and Co product, then purchase it one of of 24 other places for less money. Even better, buy from a quality retailer like RH.

Ordered the Molly Counter Stools and used for less than one year. Two of the stools have broken already (one snapped while I was sitting on it - I weigh 130lbs for reference….) At $775 a piece I would have expected them to last a bit longer… when I emailed their customer service they basically told me there was nothing to be done. Terrible customer service and terrible quality products.

Run for the hills...HORRIBLE customer service. I bought a piece of art that was just complete junk. They said they would send a label to return it and before accepting I clarified what the total of my return would be. They replied with the full price I paid. Today I received a credit to my AMEX less 73.00 they charged apparently to return though they I have in writing they were returning for the total. Running this business in NOT what the Mcgees do best. I can't seem them staying in business with the reviews I read.

Delivered furniture without advanced notice, dropped of pallet in driveway left outside……NOT good in Seattle, WA. Who needs furniture left out in the rain sitting on a pallet?

I had ordered a few fabric and wallpaper swatch samples and they were all delayed a significant amount of time. So much so that I had to move on with my project without them.
The out of stock items are frustrating as well. I‘ve submitted email alert requests for specific colors of items and have received multiple emails that the item is back in stock only to find it is in stock in the other color, not the one I am waiting for. I have also been waiting on another particular restock and am signed up for email alerts. This item was then listed in their memorial day sale page. I was eager to purchase only to find out it is still out of stock.
They have lovely items but the shopping experience is disappointing and makes me want to avoid shopping with the company all together.

Have purchased a variety of furnishings + decorative items from McGee & Co. all have been well made pieces with a pleasing aesthetic. On the occasion that I have required assistance with customer service on any topic they are responsive and very professional.

They have quality products I love, the site is easy to use and the shipping is fine in a timely manner.

I needed to return some items and sent an email to customer service. I received an initial response, but never heard back from them even I sent numerous follow ups. The phone number was always busy at the time I called.

The problem with McGee is that they send you emails about your order without mentioning what they are talking about/what your order is. I have purchased multiple items at one time and I will get an email that something is delayed, but I never know what item they are talking about. Including the email I received to review my order. I have no idea what order it is referring to. I have even sent an email asking for clarification and nothing has changed. It’s very frustrating. My overall experience with McGee is that nothing is shipped quickly. Expect to wait awhile. I did receive several things that were broken and it was pretty easy to get them replaced. The items, once they get here, are good quality/nice items.

I enjoy shopping McGee & Co. especially during the sales! The selection is amazing. The items I chose are high quality and I am enjoying them in my space.

I ordered two baskets and they both were damaged upon arrival. I emailed Mcgee with photos and they gave me 15% off my next order! Why would I want to order again when what I got was damaged and I was only offered 15% off a future purchase??
