Customer service is dreadful
Customer service is dreadful, I would advise not purchasing insurance for ticket, you will not get your money back, they make it impossible
Web Site was very poor
Web Site was very poor, didnt't advertise the fact you will need to schedule your trip for the time of the day the Artist/ Celebrity has a booking slot. The website Doesn't direct you to that fact. IT SHOULD BE ON THE WEBSITE CLEARLY, WITH A LINK! Comic Con Organisers can afford to have their own in house payment system on the site, they dont, it directs you to a shoddy Event Brite Website. Asked an orginiser at the event why it was that they did not clearly put this on the website but she got defensive and snotty saying I was being rude. The venue was Olympia, and It was staggering that the owner of Olymipa hasn't made an effort in improving the main entrance it was cluttered, you have to walk through a building site to get to the entrance, and the doorway practically has a sheer drop on the pavement onto the Earls Court Train Track, with chain link fence flapping where you could just walk through a hole and land under an oncoming train, which does not speak of the Grandness the building should display. The hotel had a broken Radiator which you could not turn down ( I pulled the socket out of that) could have had another Grenfell) Hilton Olympia that was. When I left to go to my hotel a Chav nearly run me down on a bike, so I though Im just get inside a tube train where its safe, ended up back at paddington where all the Taxi Drivers seemed to not want to pick you up unless the destination was the "Way They Were Going" Hmm funny that. A taxi driver who only takes customers where he wants to go, seems like rip-off fog have decended over London, and no Taxies on the other side of the road, only a steady stream of them coming the one way. Eventualy one of the 'Wrong way Cabs took me to my Hotel'. Taxies seat belt was broken.
Not a good place for children at all
Not a good place for children at all.
I was traumatised.
Just the kind of place predators would meet and chat to innocent kids.
The 50 year old man with he’s boobs done never helped the vibe.
Big old gang of weirdos and rejects.
Wants shutting down.
I was scammed at the autograph section…
I was scammed at the autograph section at MCM London Comic Con — charged £120 for an autograph and selfie with no clear pricing. They’re taking advantage of autistic people like me who aren’t good with maths. It felt misleading and unfair and i want my money to be brought back to my account.
Overwhelming, smelly and awful experience
I went to experience the cool costumes, stands, and the film and anime culture. What I ended up with was an overwhelming, smelly and awful experience. When we got off at custom house where we were herded by security who where poking fun at costumes and people as they went. Then when getting into the event there was very little signage, as well as many people who dont have the ability to even know what manners, public decency or spacial awareness is, the amount of times me or the people I came with where hit in the face with backpacks, props and or just people who don’t understand how to walk in a straight line. There were many people who don't understand how to interact and can make you feel very uncomfortable. The smell, even though it written on the website to use DEODORANT, was awful. Every turn was a face full of body oder and sweat, which actually ended us going home early due to me and another member of my group feeling sick. When trying to look at any stalls, it was like a battle field of people pushing and shoving, no one got a good look at any stalls what so ever due to the sheer amount of people there. All in all I will not be attending again.
Waste of money
It is really funny. People spend money to se e each other while event organizers end up making millions.

over all its okay but you have to sign up to do anything and this isnt on the app as of where to sign up or how, tried to participate in the sword fight and cosplay show case but both were fully booked. This means you have to have early passes or weekend tickets to sign up prior which was not possible for us

Very poor ticketing system would not recognise code for a career ticket, gave up and paid full price.
Genuine concern about air con at this event
The autograph lines were really organised and even had cut off points so the featured Actors/VAs had time to co-ordinate with photo shoots. The security was really good and checked bags at the entry point. There were numerous ticket checks for certain features to make sure nobody was hopping lines.
However, my biggest concern is the air con at this event. One person, two lines from me fainted. Myself and other attendees were sitting on the floor feeling heat exhaustion, saying they barely felt the air con despite being in a location that wasn't overcrowded. This needs to be improved under health and safety reasons.
Prebooked a photo-op with a Voice Actor. Due to the parking where we had to leave before 5:30pm and the long lines for the photo op where we wouldn't make it in time. Now £92 GBP out of pocket. I do not recommend pre-booking photo ops as they are not refundable after a period of time before the event.
They don't care for volunteer or customers
What I used to know as a fun place to attend with my older brother when younger to volunteering eomtging really has changed this year.
Not the raising of the prices but how I noticed lack of artists and more Pokémon stalls, Bootleg sellers and how volinttees have been working past volunteering schedules like me myself at MCM March, during the David Tennant rush they over sold tickets for his autographs and photo ops.
They really shouldn't have sold as many as they did but they did because of money, fans didn't get a chance to speak to him expect from saying one or two sentences and that's caused us ex volunteer's to volunteer for longer hours whilst few were in the volunteer break room on their phones. We weren't able to fill up our water bottles,We weren't able to get anything to eat being there from 7:45-15:30 some poor volunteers volunteering past 15:30.
I will never spend another penny there again
Overpriced can get things cheaper online...
I went outside because it was too hot in there amd realised my linyard was around my neck but my ticket somehow must of ripped off.
So security let me back in but said i need to get a other ticket.. I thought ok thibking it was going to cost me £5 to replace it.. No the woman said full price i said im not paying full price for a ticket ive already bought i had my son and his friend with me too i had proof of purchase.
Her reply was absolutely disgusting she told me that i shouldnt of gone lutside anyway once your in you stay in... I apologise i didmt realise it was a prison!
Well i got back in thank you but after that i thought id never to this day spend another penny there
Comic the (Con) - Too expensive.
Sorry, but as usual, corporate greed is taking hold. Price is going up and up.
Ticket for sat priority.
£46+
£6 mandatory delivery free (previously free)
£7 for child (was free for under 10s)
Someone somewhere got greedy, and if it's your landlords, you have a duty to expose it.
Overcrowded oversold money grabbing…
Overcrowded oversold money grabbing event will never return . Felt totally disappointed staff ushered you through like cattle at autograph signings . £420 to shake Mel Gibsons hand for 2 seconds …. Really then ushered on . Unsure if it was him or the organisers just said shake hand smile next! God bless Virginia Hey thoughtful and gave you time . A fantastic lady . Didnt like no seating for refreshments . Organizers hang your greedy money grabbing heads in shame
Fun day out, but very expensive
I've never been so I don't have anything to compare it to. However it was a fun day out and everyone was very friendly. There was also a good range of stalls.
However the meet and greet experiences were extremely expensive, on top of the pricey cost of entry tickets, food, stall prices etc.
Glorified Car Boot Sale
Having been yo this event before. I will say that I am disgusted at the amount of people that the organisers have allowed into this event. It meant that the event was completely unsafe, and especially difficult for a neurodiverse child. As mentioned in many other reviews its a complete money making event with no regard from enjoyment or people generally. Go and spend your money supporting your local Comic shop. (Not an ad but Cosmic Comics in Sutton is great)
For a convention that posts so much…
For a convention that posts so much about inclusivity you’d think they’d be more accommodating and not completely oversell their tickets to the point you can’t even move inside the convention, don’t get me started on how much this convention has declined over the years why on earth is it £40 for a general ticket on Saturday when there’s barely anything to do ? I think MCM realised after Covid they can continue charging upwards without putting any effort in and people will still buy tickets, i remember the old days when Nintendo would go Sony and have a much more industry wide event them days are long over mcm should be way cheaper for what you actually get
Massively overcrowded …
This year was a shambles and totally overcrowded, meaning that stalls weren’t accessible to even look at. Same goes for the shows on, signings, food and drink stalls etc.
We were only able to enjoy the first two hours due to having early release tickets. Once everyone else arrived it was unbearable meaning we left early. A cap on how many tickets sold need to be put in place as somebody is going to end up hurt from the sheer amount of people crammed into the space.
Disappointing
Have been previously and really enjoyed but yesterday was awful couldn’t do anything as far too many people had to leave early as was getting bored was a lot of stalls most of which was selling the same thing tickets sales definitely needs to be capped there was no room to live breath or do anything at all
Awful, unorganised and not accessible for diverse needs!
Would put less if I could. Absolutely appalled by today. Unfortunately, raised serious concerns which sadly have painted a picture that profits have been prioritised over individual wellbeing and safety, a complete failing on MCM's part. This was by far the most unorganised, chaotic event they've held, sentiments shared with hundred of other families. It was not inclusive to communities with diverse needs. Autographs were a complete shambles, oversold and terribly run. Will not return.
