Built to break
We bought 2 of these in quick succession (an ABC then an Arete One) both broke within a very short time, both just outside warranty. Expensive and difficult to get repaired. These units are not built to last. The first developed a temperature error (I managed to repair the ABC by buying a new temp sensor off Amazon, saving a £100+ meaco repair bill, thanks GPT!) But the other is a mystery electronic fault that doesn't have an error code, it just won't switch on. Multiple other people on youtube having exactly the same problem in the same time scale.

Broke just outside of warranty
I had one for 14 months and it broke 2 months outside of the warranty. To be fair, both my daughters bought one at the same time, and 5 months after mine broke, theirs are working.
I replaced it with an Ebac, British made with a 5 year parts and labour warranty. 😊 I set the date on this review at the time mine failed.

Excellent warranty service
Small dehumidifier needed a warranty fix. Quick response to enquiry, excellent process to get the unit dispatched using provided postage label. Very quick turn round and unit now back and working. As an aside the unit a DD8L Junior is almost silent in operation a major plus over previous non Meaco units.
