Buffering / quality problems
We have subscribed to Medici.tv for a number of years and very much enjoy the content. However over the past month or so have noticed significantly increased buffering and/or degradation in quality. It comes and goes during the same performance so will start off in full HD and then become virtually unwatchable before going back again.
On full fibre with 500mbps download. No problems with any other service. Perhaps Medici could comment.

buffering
The content is great. 3 versions of La somnambula all good. fully staged armida ......
I had one year of trouble free then some buffering so I upgraded my wifi to full fibre. recently tested download 388 Mbps and still buffering got rid of cache, cookies shut down all devices except one. using chrome and chrome cast/MacBook Pro.
the problem went away when medici made their 22 May reply. two and a bit months later its fine . if the bufferring returns I will edit this review again and will try separate subs rbo, la scala, met etc.
The more reliable you are medici the more likely customers will ask the content providers to sign up with you. by the way could you try to get content from regents opera who will probably soon start their own streaming service or stream via rbo.

I regularly cannot access any videos on this service. I regularly receive error messages on EVERY video I try to view. The company’s customer service department is useless.

Frequent severe buffering issues on livestream
Frequent severe buffering issues render livestreams unwatchable as often as not. I'm confident of my own system on which I regularly watch / listen to streaming media from other sources with next to no glitches. (Ethernet connections throuhout.) Over the course of my Medici subscription I've upgraded to fibre broadband, which has not improved the Medici 'live' experience at all. Library performances go better, although the choice is somewhat limited. On present experience I'll not be renewing my subscription.

I refer to a recent review submitted by…
I refer to a recent review submitted by Emma of Taiwan. I cancelled my subscription almost two weeks before the renewal date and was sent an email confirming this to be the case. However, on the same date I received a further email stating £129.00 had been taken out of my Paypal account for the automatic renewal. I did question this with a representative of medici. tv who said they would look into the matter. I have heard nothing further to date. I am not prepared to let the matter drop and expect a full refund from the Company.

Refund Received After Persistent Effort, Improvement Needed in Reminder Policy
Update: After continuously emailing the people at Medici.tv for over a month, they finally agreed to refund me. Thank you to them for understanding my request, so I am changing my review. The reason for changing it to two stars is that I believe their reminder policy needs improvement. A reminder one and a half months in advance is a bit too early, and if users don't pay attention, they might overlook it. I hope they can add frequent reminders in the week leading up to the subscription expiration date. Of course, due to this experience, I will personally be more diligent in marking the reminder times for my subscriptions on my phone calendar.

Attention: Medici Customer Service Team
I am writing to you once more to vehemently express my dissatisfaction with your subscription renewal policy. In my case, it has resulted in an unwarranted and forced renewal. It’s evident that your policy of sending renewal reminders 45 days in advance is a strategy that easily escapes customers’ notice, leading to non-consensual renewals.
Despite realizing the issue after the renewal date and promptly contacting you, my appeals for a charge reconsideration have been met with an unyielding and indifferent response. This shows a blatant disregard for customer intentions and a rigid adherence to policy over fairness.
It is appalling to witness a complete lack of empathy and flexibility from your side, even when a customer clearly highlights an issue. A service that fails to accommodate situations where a customer has no desire to continue is far from customer-centric; it’s exploitative.
I strongly demand that you reevaluate my case and offer a solution that honors my decision and situation. Persisting to levy charges for a service that I neither wanted nor utilized is a gross injustice and a violation of ethical customer service.
I expect an immediate and substantial response that truly acknowledges and rectifies this situation in favor of customer satisfaction.

I love the content of medici.tv but no App on Fire
I love the content of medici.tv. It is better than Marquee tv, however, due to lack of an app for Amazon Fire and Android, I shall no longer subscribe to medici.tv once my contract expires. We are coming into 2024 and I don't want to have to use Chromecast or Airplay to watch a streaming service on my tv. So I have now subscribed to Marquee.tv and although the content is not as good, it is far easier to view with a Fire Cube in the app.

We have been a long term subscriber to…
We have been a long term subscriber to Medici. OK, they have a lousy website and much of their programming is way out of date. But from the other side of the world its always cool to see a bit of opera, jazz or whatever. We have great internet, so streaming is cool. BUT over the last 3 months or so Medici streaming has been the pits. Exceedingly poor compared to every other streaming platform. Simple solution, just move on from Medici, back to the Met, and Paris Opera has a new streaming platform. If Medici is prepared to diminish its service for a few bucks, then we will go elsewhere and advise others considering this service to not waste their time. Very poor service Medici, deplorable!

Don’t get this if you want subtitles…
Don’t get this if you want subtitles for opera. Besides lots of buffering issues. And there no easy way to navigate within a program. I could not pause a concert to take a time out. It has great content but frankly it is not worth it compared to MET on HD or Marquee TV.

annoying login
I like the content very much, but I have to log in each time I access the site via Roku. When I click the medici box on the Roku screen, it doesn't recognize my Roku login, and I have to enter my email address and password letter by letter every time I want to see anything. This is irksome, so i don't use it very often and probably won't renew.

Love the website but buffering issues
Love the website & content. So frustrating that playback often has buffering issues. Any ideas on how to resolve this as I have a good broadband speed & don’t have this problem with other sites.

Great to see live classical music
Please cover more festivals and concerts live for those of us who can't attend but love them! Great seeing interviews with all the soloists and conductors with Christian, it makes it even more enjoyable hearing them speak and knowing something about them. Verbier is great. Please show more of the scenery/setting of the festival, it is beautiful!

I’ve contacted them many times about out of focus issues for both taped and live events. Even contacted them directly on Twitter and in real time, they were unable to fix it. They were unable to explain why after years of being available, it’s so much better on Youtube. Also, I got no explanation for why I could not download programs. What they carry is terrific but still not enough variety.
It should be more unique

I pay € 189.99 € annually for medici.tv Premium. I use the service on an iPhone and a iMac. Every now and then I get a request for a new password.
I am 75 years old and I canot handle easy such technical questions anymore. I believe that your customers include many Apple users like me. Couldn’t you, please, improve your service so that both iPhone and iMac could be logged in with the iPhone’s face recognition?
I love your excellent content! Thank you very much for that!
