Serious safety, boundary, and ethical concerns regarding leadership
I am writing this first-hand account to alert practitioners and ensure community safety regarding the online platform meditationonline.org and its organizer, Lama Dawai Gocha.
Conflicting Public vs. Private Standards
I previously shared a personal healing experience within the group regarding my reproductive health recovery. The teacher publicly criticized this share, claiming that discussing physical or sexual health was entirely inappropriate for the sangha. However, while strictly enforcing these conversational rules on students publicly, the teacher privately sent unsolicited, explicit photographs of himself to my personal email address. Furthermore, he has since continuously and openly discussed sexual practices during his own public teachings.
Community Narrative Management
From the beginning of this situation, leadership has actively managed the community's perception to protect his position. False statements were made to the sangha, mischaracterizing my communication and claiming I used explicit language when I did not. When I brought forward the direct email trail to provide transparency, the correspondence was denied, and the narrative within the group was altered.
Preserved Documentation
A complete, unedited digital paper trail and email logs regarding these events are fully preserved for verification and factual accuracy. While platform guidelines prevent attaching external files directly to this review, the verified documentation exists to protect the integrity and safety of independent practitioners.
