Website is terrible. Trust lost.

Tried to order some category 1 compression socks, made an error so that there were 4 pairs in my basket. Tried to edit this but the website would not let me. After numerous attempts, I checked reviews and clearly a lot of people have been let down or abused by this company. I shall not be ordering from them now.

Refund refused

I purchased a very expensive support from Medi UK, which became defective and no longer fit for purpose after only 7 months. When I complained I was fobbed off and refused a refund.

GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE

Bought Class 1 compression stockings on advice. Customer service helpful. Arrived promptly, well boxed. Unfortunately had to return as son had been in touch with my surgery again who advised lighter ones. I phoned & spoke to Dawn, explaining I had not even opened the box & would return... told a full refund would be given. Posted them back next day.

The tights don't stay up unfortunately

Fast service and the compression tights seem to be good quality, but they don't stay up therefore they can't do what they are supposed to do. Have tried to get a refund, but so far I've been told it's not possible because they have been worn (briefly before falling down). I have no experience with their other items and some customers seem happy, but not sure how they get these tights to stay up over the knees.

Great service and product

I bought a knee brace from Medi Uk at £69. I’d say it’s at least as effective and way more comfortable than the Ossur brace I’ve been using which cost about £600.
I emailed on a Sunday asking for advice on size and got a very helpful reply first thing Monday morning. The brace arrived the day after ordering.
Nice to do business with a company like this.

Fast shipping

I needed an item urgently in time for a trip. Customer service was responsive when I enquired about the status of my order and the item was dispatched super quickly. Very positive experience.

Medi Duomed Class 2 Thigh High Compression Stockings with Topband

I used Medi Duomed Class 2 from 2017 to 2020. I mostly used Daylong to supply them using prescriptions and buying extra ones. This followed my third hospital treatment for varicose veins and a recommendation to wear Class 2 full length stockings.

In 2020 something went wrong. The topband of the first stocking of my new supply rolled into a tight roll. The rest were all faulty, but with some not so bad as others.

I contacted Daylong explaining the problem and sent photos. They contacted Medi for me. I expected that the fault would be investigated and put right.

Medi said that the problem could be caused by incorrect size, build up of residues, type of detergent, etc. Daylong informed me of the response and I answered all the issues raised. Medi sent me a replacement pair of stockings.

The topband of one replacement stocking rolled up tightly and the other was faulty. I returned them with comments. I talked to the contact I had been given at Medi. She said she had not seen the stockings but had been told that there was no fault with them. She knew that I was waiting for an appointment with the Ulcer Clinic and offered to send a rep to see me afterwards to see if I would like another of their stockings.

During this lengthy saga I had worn the faulty but I thought wearable stockings. The leg ulcer on my ankle returned after going many years without it. The pain, lack of sleep, and disruption to my usual life was horrible. I had a month's treatment at my medical centre and was then referred to the Ulcer Clinic of the hospital. They prescribed Haddenham self-support Thigh stockings and effective. My ulcer has healed though it still looks a bit fragile.

I did not take Medi's offer to meet a rep. I had used their stockings for a long time and knew how they should behave. I knew they were faulty but Medi would not admit it and put it right. How could I trust this company and its products.

I tried to leave a review on the Daylong site. After 3 requests they have not sent me the link so that I could do this using Feefo.

After Daylong's this is only the second review I have ever written. Making an online review is well outside my comfort zone. I have done it because compression stockings are so important to many of us.

I will add a photo of the topband rolled up tightly on my leg if I ever work out how to do it.

With best wishes to all you compression stoching wearers.
