Super smooth and very accommodating customer service

I have used Mega or Megasync for about ten years originally on MacOS with iMac, MacMini, and MacBook Air and when Apple upset me I installed Linux on all my computers. Mega has never let me down -ever - when my data had to migrate from one computer to another nor when the data across these platforms had to be kept in sync. I do not have a huge amount of storage but I keep all of my important documents in their cloud. It costs peanuts for a fully secure, up to date copy of what is on my hardware. I would recommend Mega to anyone without hesitation and, no I don’t have shares in Mega!

Best backup app in the market. Excellent support when needed.

Used it for about 6 months. I have a premium subscription and together with autosync, I use it as a backup/increased storage incase my phone gets stolen or broken (has happened already to me)
I tried all other cloud services (drive, Microsoft, pcloud, etc), and they all fall way behind in security and interface.
So Mega + autosync is the best combination today for android users

I have been with Mega about 10 years now, and it has been such a reliable experience with them. I trust them with things(personal photos) and subjects(study and research) that are very important to me, which I know are safe and secure, and I can share them only with those I want to. Even with a free account, they have been very kind, helpful and efficient with me and I can only recommend Mega to anyone.

I am EXTREMELY happy with Mega, mainly because you can sync certain folders to your Mega account. So, I've synced the most important folders in my PC, so whatever files/data is in the synced folder, once i add a new file or update a file, because this folder is synced, it'll automatically upload it! - FANTASTIC! This is EXACTLY what i'm after!
+ there are many other major benefits with Mega but you'll have to find out yourself!

I waited 10 hours to install a game just slightly larger than what's allowed. Mega, despite advertising that I could continue after waiting X amount of time, never let me proceed and continued to add smaller and smaller timers, but never actually continued the install. What absolute garbage.

Will not help me when I have clearly stated in emails that my account was hacked and deleted

Mega had promised me 5GB for downloading the macOS app along with the original 20GB in the free plan. However, they tried to extort me and tried to make me subscribe to a paid plan in order to not have my files deleted after I crossed 20GB of storage. I did not get extorted, so I lost all my data. Never use Mega; they will extort you.

A simple and intuitive encrypted web-based solution working with any browser. No maximum file size, it has just uploaded a 63Gb file overnight at speeds between 2.0 and 2.3 Mb/s. Downloads are much, much faster …

There is a VPN bundled with the cloud storage option. It was already cheaper than its competitors but the VPN adds a bonus

There was a bug on my subscription status where it showed that I don't have a valid subscription when my payment had been rolling normally.

I contacted support and they were immediately investigating it and it was resolved in 24 hours! It is easter and i am glad that they helped me instantly!

I have been a supporter of Mega from the days when it was Megasync.
I use it to backup all my valuable files and have never had an issue. I have had computers crash on me I have had devices stolen and because i have mega it is never a major issue just set up my new device sync and I am ready to work again.
I sync folders across Linux Fedora 42, Windows11and Android 14 and have never had a n issue that the Mega Pro (Mega Support) couldn't solve quickly and painlessly!

so far so good.. using this for my storage. customer support is pretty ok so far . i just wish that 16TB would cost less per year but it's also not that bad for the way the site works.. user friendly.. and awesome.. far better than cloud storage.. joomeo.. idrive.. and def better than backblaze.

I really wanted to like MEGA.nz, but it turned out to be one of the most frustrating cloud storage services I’ve ever used.

First off, the download limits are ridiculous. You get a very small amount of bandwidth, and once you hit it (which happens fast), you’re locked out for hours or even a whole day. What’s the point of offering free storage if I can’t even access my own files when I need them?

The performance is slow and inconsistent. Uploading files takes forever, and downloading can be painfully sluggish. I’ve also experienced failed uploads and corrupted files more than once.

They market themselves as “secure,” but after reading about some serious vulnerabilities in their encryption, I’m not confident in how safe my data actually is. Even their own founder has spoken out about privacy concerns and how the company is no longer under trustworthy ownership.

Lastly, their paid plans are overpriced. You’re basically paying more than competitors for worse service, weaker collaboration tools, and that same frustrating bandwidth cap.

In short, MEGA feels outdated, unreliable, and overpriced. I’d recommend looking at other options like Google Drive, pCloud, or Sync.com—anything but this.

i used this app sinse 2022 and i set all my data files in this app and it still exists

Attracted by the amount of free storage, I tried it a few years ago, when I found it to be unreliable, with missing files, or not syncing.
Maybe that has been improved by now, so I tried it again this month. As I no longer knew my password or “recovery key” I was given a temporary account whose files would be deleted after 60 days.
I had another go today, when I could not log in. Even though I entered what my browser’s Password Manager had saved, a message said 'Invalid email address or password'.
I have given up.
UPDATE: Dedveloper has asked for more information. What I posted before says enough: "Even though I entered what my browser’s Password Manager had saved, a message said 'Invalid email address or password'." I've deleted the password now and I'm not going to go through the rigmarole of changing it again. I will now also add that the website pages are very slow to load compared to other apps I use.
