After taking out a subscription I had to cancel as several editions were missing from selection, it took several emails to finally get money refunded and then it was via PayPal and I had to pick up the fees, I have spent a significant amount of money in store and was far from impressed with the customer service I received.

Also worth noting Free comic day, comics not made readily available as they should be but available short time after to buy. Completely unacceptable

I have been visiting this shop since the 90's yet The owner Martin has an ifiority complex and cannot accept criticism- he is always incredibly rude, I only go in for the priced key issues..

over the years he has stated to me as follows- when buying his comic books.

1.) I'm not interested your opinion I am a shop/dealer- when asking him what would be a good long term comic to spec on.

2.) My main reasoning for visiting the shop most of the time is to purchase the more expensive key issues at the back (sometimes dollar bin diving) - while picking up an expensive comic book he stated "can you actually afford it" please put it back.

3.) I was trying to connect with him on the past and said do you remember that Asm #4  you had back in the 90's at £150 amazing how comics appreciate in respective values since then- he said "I suggest you do your research" "that was then this is now- go and do some homework" over just trying to make- idle chit chat he is incredibly rude to someone who spends hundreds a year.

4.) I asked if there is discounts on comics books he stated on "oh you have multiples there" - this is "double" this "triple" the price "and this is quadruple" over three exacting Spider-Man issues.

5.) I said to one of customers I have first eppearance Carnage for sale if interested- as he was looking for absolute carnage "I SAID THIS AS A JOKE" He stated in return don't you dare poach my buyers you'll be banned from this shop - I said it in jhest I said but Martin I've spent hundreds of pounds a year with you since the 90's he stated "oh hundreds of pounds big deal I Don't need your business."

6.) During covid I had a hiatus of not visiting the shop- the older section books I bought a stack of pre covid/lock down  - were incredibly miss graded FN- FN+ VFN Silver age comics with detached Staples centerfolds missing- coming from an expert - ha I Don't think so.

7.) He should thank me for the constructive & informative cristism and learn how to improve his whole demeanour- Martin is overly Sensitive- Rude - pre assuming- unprecedented he cannot accept criticism nor grade comic books.

If he had any Business acumen he wouldn't respond hatred to his negative reviews nor alienate his customers- it's the principle of the matter.

I ordered a book that was sold out almost everywhere from Mega City Comics using their website. The price was great, the delivery was very fast and the product was excellently packaged. A complete 5 star experience - would recommend and will definitely use again.
