First and last pair of Mephistos for me $350 for a sandal that was barely worn 4-5 times at the most...but there warranty is 1 year only ...
I noticed last Saturday that the cork had cracked, and by the end of the day I could barely walk because the entire heel was coming apart. Oddly enough, only my right foot was affected; the other was intact.
What a shame to pay so much for shoes that were practically new, and I had to throw them in the trash.

I would never order from this company every again. I ordered a pair of sandals for my mother 27/05/2025 £176. I then had to pay £58 custom fee's and have not received my order.

DHL online shows a driver attempted delivery 7.40am, no answer and recipient notified which is not true. I was home and nothing was left, no note/ texted. Saying my parcel is now being stored. Does not show where? No contact details. When calling DHL - says my tracking number does not exist. So I have lost £234. No birthday present for my mum. I have emailed the company last week, no response. I am so disappointed!!!!

BEWARE$$$ I had to Paid $40 to return ship my order because size was too small. There sizes are not accurate! I will never order from Mephisto Canada again. I have been wearing Mephisto sandals since 1990 but no more.

They never sent me the shoes, (ordered and paid through their official website Mobils), never sent me any tracking and they do not answer my emails. The worst e-commerce I have ever experienced. I am going to contact a lawyer to get my money back.

Bought an expensive pair of their sandals. The dog chewed on the buckles! Spoke to the company and within a week they had sent me replacements at no cost. Well done a company who goes that extra mile.

Terrible terrible customer service it wasn’t the person’s fault that answers the phone. It’s the company’s policy as she constantly reminded me during our conversation. It’s so hard, so difficult so many steps to send a shoe back that doesn’t fit. I will never be ordering from Mephisto again. Plus the Helen sandals I got were so inferior quality wise to the ones I bought 10 years ago there’s no comparison -they (the Helen) were like a knock off from Walmart or target for $29.

I have purchased only Mephisto shoes for over 20 years
Unfortunately I ordered a pair. Very uncomfortable. To return online online it has been hell, won’t send me a return label this is now over 3 weeks
Finally my attorney had to call to get this resolved
They sent the return label but have not deducted from my credit card yet
There are no Mephisto stores in my area
I will never from them again

The shoes were very different shades of colour. One had been removed from the box and was missing the paper packing.

I have been wearing Mephisto shoes for years. Having joint problems and loving to walk can be difficult but with my Mephisto shoes it goes much easier.
The shoes have lovely designs, an impecable finish and are ever so comfortable. I mostly wear the shoes with the zip on the side which is a big plus. The marginally higher price is nothing in comparison to what you get.
All in all a perfect shoe.
A big thank you to Mr Mephisto and all his employees who make such a big effort to make my life more confortable and easier.

Paid more than $500CAD for their top-of-the-line shoes via their online site, and the left one doesn't fit. I will have to pay to return them (as free returns are not provided) in addition to what I've already paid, although of course I anticipate a refund for the shoes. Disappointing experience. I strongly advise anyone who would like a pair of Mephistos to visit a Mephisto store, if possible, as opposed to buying online. Trying shoes on first is the best way to go. Mephistos are amazing shoes, so good luck finding a pair that fits.

Atrocious customer service and opaque company trading structure that let's the "online" presence (ie the website/company) absolve itself of all responsibility for the retail branches, even though it lists the branches on its website.

I would avoid this company even though the shoes are good.

I purchased Mephisto "Sono Volodia" shoes on 04/08/23 for £220. I loved the slight rocking action of them & found them very comfortable, although the laces broke within 6 weeks. But the heels on both soles wore down so quickly I mentioned it to the shop owner on Feb 15 2024 when I was buying another pair of shoes. She said, "Well, you DO walk a lot"! I walk about 5 miles a day. I really do expect walking shoes to last more than 6 months; is that unreasonable of me?

I purchased the Mephisto Allrounders "Rake Off-Tex" size 8.5, Black, on 15/02/24 for £189. I waited until my custom-made orthotics were ready before I first wore them 8/03/24. Due to the fitting of the orthotics I wore them rarely. I have now been wearing them every other day for the 6 weeks, & the heels on both shoes are split on the sole. I purchased these shoes specifically for WALKING, as I walk at least 5 miles a day. So 3 months wear? Really?
As per the company's request I returned these shoes on 11/07/24 to the retailer, "Foot Solutions" in Glasgow who were neither sympathetic nor helpful. They said it would take a while; they had to send them to Germany.
It is now 15/08/24 & I have heard nothing further.

I have been a loyal and consistent customer since 2001 and spent thousands of dollars over the years in the belief, and later the assumption, that Mephisto’s important selling point that its footwear could be “refurbished “—including resoled, at reasonable rates—was true, that its high quality is “sustainable,”—crafted to last a long time. Meanwhile, Mephistos get more expensive and disposable.

In October, 2021 I bought my first pair of Kurtis (men’s) loafers (brown suede) for $389.00 and liked them so much that I purchased them in the two additional colors available, for a total of $1,167.00. Yesterday, responding to my inquiry, Mephisto informed me that the Kurtis can not be resoled period, that they can no longer acquire replacement soles for the Kurtis.

As I write, Mephisto continues to market the Kurtis in all distribution fronts without disclosing this key information, nor have they informed Kurtis owners.

Mephisto USA has offered me 25% off the next pair of shoes.

For this customer, Mephisto’s credibility has suffered a self- inflicted fatal blow.

My REPLY to Mephisto’s RESPONSE to what I wrote above: I am rightly critical of the brand, i.e. Mephisto and Mephisto USA whom I trusted —regardless of where I happened to purchase the shoes, and I don’t blame retailers or franchisees who may, but perhaps don't know about the glitch at Mephisto corporate with getting the $389.00 Kurtis shoes resoled. All three (3) pairs were purchased at “MEPHISTO” retail stores. Passing the buck here only tarnishes the Mephisto brand even more.

The only thing this ham-handed response gets right, ironically, is in the last paragraph of their response where they refer to themselves as the “Mephisto team.” Caveat Emptor..

A pair of Mephisto boots were bought at Walmart in late Spring of 2023 and set aside until just needed January 11, 2024.
After walking down a block, the entire sole of one boot came off and by the time I turned around and came home, the other sole had come off and the rubber had come apart along the sole. I didn't even get one wearing but because they were bought last Spring, have no tags or receipt to prove that they are new. Very bad quality! I could send pictures, but I see no place here to post them.
