I generally avoid writing public…
I generally avoid writing public reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with Stratstone Mercedes Leeds due to the seriousness of the issues involved and the lack of response from the dealership.
I purchased a vehicle from Stratstone Mercedes Leeds with the understanding that a warranty was included. However, at no point was I provided with any documentation related to this warranty, nor was it explained that it was a third-party product. This is a basic requirement when selling a vehicle under warranty, and the omission is both unprofessional and negligent.
What followed was even more concerning: despite multiple attempts to contact the dealership over a number of weeks—by phone, email and through Mercedes-Benz UK—I have received no formal response, no explanation, and no support. It has become impossible to access the warranty or even confirm its terms. The complete lack of communication has left me with unresolved mechanical issues and a significant financial burden.
As a parent of a child with special needs, the situation has had a direct and measurable impact on my family life. Regular therapy sessions had to be paused due to the vehicle being out of service, which in turn has affected my child’s well-being. I made this clear in my communication, hoping it would prompt some sense of responsibility or urgency—but again, there was only silence.
It’s deeply disappointing that such a large and established dealership would fail to meet even the most basic standards of after-sales care. A dealership carrying the Mercedes-Benz name should be held to a higher standard of professionalism, transparency, and customer support.
While I want to acknowledge that another branch (Mercedes Lakeside) has shown goodwill and attempted to assist—despite not being at fault—Stratstone Leeds has remained completely unresponsive.
I sincerely hope this review prompts Stratstone Mercedes Leeds to reflect on their internal processes and customer service standards. Customers deserve better than to be ignored, misled, and left to deal with avoidable consequences due to dealership oversight
