I tried working with Meridian…

I tried working with Meridian publishing. The project manager they gave me was no longer reachable. They gave me another that I could only reach through the sales line. They gave me a date of completion of March 14th and had not completed my book at the end of February. They sent me links saying I had to complete them to go to the next step, Then told me to call their vendors. The man I spoke with at Kindle, told me they are scammers. I was promised a guarantee and decided to withdraw and take them up on their guarantee. They are now threatening a lawsuit and to take my material. It is my original dialogue and belongs to me. I am very unhappy. It feels like senior abuse or abuse in general.

thank you for your feedback. We take all client concerns seriously and would like to clarify the situation.

Throughout the course of your project, our team remained engaged and provided the required guidance at each stage of the publishing process. As with many publishing workflows, certain steps required your direct input or coordination with third-party platforms, which was clearly communicated.

Regarding your concerns about project management, when there was a change in personnel, a new representative was assigned and remained available through our official communication channels to ensure continuity of service.

We also want to address the claim that the project was not completed. Our records indicate that the agreed-upon work and deliverables had already been fulfilled in line with the scope of services. Despite this, you proceeded with a chargeback request, which was processed accordingly.

We strongly refute any suggestion of misconduct. At no point have we claimed ownership of your original material, and we fully respect our clients’ intellectual property rights.

We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations, but we remain committed to transparency, professionalism, and delivering services as agreed. If you would like to discuss this matter further, we are open to resolving it through appropriate channels.

My experience with Meridian Book…

My experience with Meridian Book Publishers was decent overall. The team was polite and helpful, and they offered services like editing and design that helped improve my manuscript. However, the process sometimes felt slower than expected, and communication could have been more consistent. In the end, my book was published successfully, but there is still room for improvement in project coordination.

I have left a 3 star review as I'm…

I have left a 3 star review as I'm trying to remain neutral at this time. But I do have a question for Meridian Book Publishing Company.
I recently received a text message as I had contacted your company in the past. Someone was just wondering if I ever had my book published. I could not remember who your company was so I then looked you up here on TrustPilot.
As I read through the only two reviews (and both which are not good reviews) someone stated that you are misrepresenting your company not only by claiming to have published certain books, but also as misleading potential clients stating you have a rating on Trustpilot much higher than what is actually shown here.
I can verify that you ARE IN FACT misleading the public and potential clients by showing you have a rating of 4.2 AND WITH THE TRUSTPILOT ICON NEXT TO THIS RATING on your website!!! I can also see here on Trustpilot, that you actually have a rating of 3.1 not 4.2 like you claim. It is noted from Trustpilot themselves (in a light blue box when you look up your company on Trustpilot and says "You should know") and notes this discrepancy, in regards to using false or inaccurate ratings from Trustpilot.
In both of your responses to the people essentially "calling you out" for your deceitful claims, you have not given any valid info or proof that what those people are claiming is false. You have simply said it's not true about what they are saying.
Please respond to this review as I'm willing to hear your side at this time.
I just wish I could add the screenshot that I just took of what it shows on your website claiming you have a 4.2 star review when in fact you have a 3.1 star review here on Trustpilot.
...and to think I was considering using your company to publish my book. If you are brave enough to lie and misrepresent yourselves as a legit company, then I can only imagine what misrepresentation you could do to my book and myself.
I also find it very bold of you, after reading the reviews essentially calling you out, that you still have not changed your website with accurate star ratings. The least you could do is simply remove the fake Trustpilot rating. since the 3.1 accurate rating would not make your company look too good.

Elder abuse publishing scam

They are advertising a trustpilot score of 4.9 on their website. You know they are fake when the trustpilot score on their website doesn't match the trustpilot score on trustpilot. In case they try to wiggle, you can check that on the wayback machine their domain and then about-us. ICANN shows that they registered their domain for the first time in May of 2025, and it's only been indexed once on wayback machine- also in 2025. They have no history before 2025 yet lay claim to a long list of "thousands" of titles. Their BBB score (also indexed on waybackmachine) is a dead end. I can find no business with that name.

This is not a reputable company

*See below for response to Meridian's reply.

This is not a reputable company. The books on their website are not published by them. The book, "1974, A Personal History" by Francine Prose was published by Harper in 2024. And the book, "A Walk in the Park" by Kevin Fedarko, was published by Scribnor in 2024. Links are not allowed in these reviews, but you can check those details on Amazon or the books' websites.
Furthermore, if you try to click on the image to read their reviews, you cannot open anything. In addition, the pictures of people used are stock images, not the real people. Their website shows false and misleading information.

*This is in response to your reply. If you scroll down a little on your website and click the link, "Children's" the first book that appears is called, "The New Girl." It has a pink cover with a cartoon girl on it. If you look closely at this book, you can see the "Scholastic" logo on it. If you look up this book online, you will find it was published by Graphix which is an imprint of Scholastic. The book on your website under the heading, "Trending Now" called, "Green Witchcraft" is listed on Amazon as being published by the author themselves, Kara Lawrence. The book that is featured on your website, "Dark Equinox" by J. Greenlaw, is shown on Amazon as being out of print and was published by "Willows Edge Publishing." If this or any other book shown on your website was published by Meridian, I could not find any evidence for it. Thank you.
