Bad company and product

I ordered Merrell 10 W in April 26 after wearing in the house I figured it was mislabeled. It is actually 11W. My heal pops out. It is not usable. They refuse to accept my return after two weeks from purchase. Clearly wrong size sent. My house is all wood and tile. They say it is worn. Yes inside rhe house. This is it i just lost over $100. Never again. I highly recomend to stay away from Merrell. I never had any problem like this with Brooks, KEEN, AMAZON, .Zapos, Asicx

Have been wearing merrell trainers for…

Have been wearing merrell trainers for about 20 years with no problem until recently. I the last year I bought a pair and our puppy chewed the toe of one so I ordered same shoe different colour. These are the worst shoes I have bought the original ones used for dog walking sole completely detached, 2nd pair partly detached. And the laces will not stay tied up even if doubled, they appear to be plastic and don't grip. I have tripped over twice on undone laces. Phoned them and mentioned laces not up to standard. Am now in contact again about soles. You may expect problems with cheap shoes but not with what used to be high cost quality ones

Impressive Support & Excellent Products

Really impressed with the support team at Merrell. They were friendly, responsive, and went above and beyond to sort out a replacement for my faulty walking boots without any hassle. The whole process was quick and straightforward, and I felt properly looked after from start to finish. Excellent customer service and a company that clearly stands behind its products - highly recommended.

Defective product and poor customer support

I purchased a pair of Merrell shoes and experienced a clear product defect within the warranty period.

Before the 1-year deadline, I returned the product to the authorized retailer for inspection. Despite this, my claim was rejected without a satisfactory explanation.

The issue is not only the defect itself, but also the lack of proper customer support and accountability. A product at this price point should not fail so quickly.

I provided the product within the required timeframe, yet the process was handled in a dismissive and unhelpful manner.

I am extremely disappointed with both the product quality and after-sales service. If this issue is not resolved, I will escalate the matter through official consumer protection channels.

i love merrell shoes

i love merrell shoes but normally get them from different shops but this time I decided to go direct and I wish I hadn't....

two pairs of Moab slides nice shoes didn't fit so the issues came with their free return service via evri which due to my location I'm unable to use. I then had the joy of trying to make contact via their live chat. I was issued another label for the royal mail packed the shoes up including the evri slip for the parcel and off the items go....... sometime later the items still haven't been recieved back I then chase it again via live chat to be told the address label I've been given isnt the right address for returns and no idea where my return has gone! wonderful I won't be buying directly with merrell again.

Merrell tan sandal

My dog chewed my Merrell sandal!- so sad. I found the same ones and they were on sale. I also bought a pair of tennis shoes. Very nice. 40% off. I’m pleased with Merrell.

Loyal merrell customer now looking elsewhere

Been wearing merrell footwear for years. As an electrician I’m on my feet all day and originally found the merrells to be fantastic and struggled to wear them out. Usually buying a new pair every 12-18 months and consigning the old ones to dirty jobs. Unfortunately the last few pairs have literally fell apart after a few months. I’ve been loyal to the brand but as these last few pairs have also been considerably more expensive I think it’s sadly now time to look elsewhere.

Got a FedEx message today that my package was delivered with a photo showing what appears to be the generic interior entranceway of my apartment building . Got home, no package, checked the other three doors to my apartment building (even though my number is not posted above) with no luck. Begin an over 30 minute chat with an individual who is not paying attention (multiple times info requested that I already noted in the chat). Bottom line distinct feeling and actually noted they want to wash their hands of this, told me it was obviously stolen, call the police and file with insurance. What a joke, after threats of the BBB and state consumer affairs they have begun an investigation with Fed Ex. Will post conclusion.
Today is 4/11/26, overall Merrell missed all of their own deadlines, and never reached out to me. After giving them double the 72 hours they initially said the investigation would take and them ignoring my email I called them and was told the investigation was concluded and I would get a refund. More than two weeks, and multiple ignored emails I called several days ago and was told my refund was not processed because they are short staffed. On 4/10/26 I received the refund, I will never do business with these people again.

Poor customer service

I placed an order, and a few days later, I received an automated email saying it was cancelled - no explanation. Another review pointed out they have no phone number and their online chat is permanently disabled. So I got no reply to my chat, and I've emailed them but it says it takes them 7 days to reply. Terrible customer service. On top of that, many recent reviews say the shoe quality is really poor now, so maybe I have got lucky by avoiding them.

Beware sizes are smaller than advertised.

Beware, the shoe sizes have changed. UK 9.5 is now smaller. Very disappointed with my last pair, have previously been a real fan with around ten pairs of walking boots and shoes. But alas the 9.5 Moab 3 are my last pair, sold a £110 a three week old pair to a relative for half price, that cost me £55!

I owned the Moab Speed v2

I owned the Moab Speed v2, but after a few weeks of casual walking they heel side teared apart which hurts my heel. So I decided to throw them away. They are not durable at all. But I can't disagree that they look good.

Rubbish quality and poor customer service

I have written to Merrell but not heard from them . I bought goretex walking shoes (women’s) in January to wear on two holidays within two months the top of the fabric where I tore the lace came undone . I have also worn infrequently over last year but rarely due to hot weather, so the have had light wear. I started wearing them again for walking the dog this autumn and found that the were not at all waterproof as i experienced walking in damp shoes in short grass so I stopped wearing them . Last week I had to wear them for a dog walk and immediately I had pools of water from dew covered grass inside the shoes , it left me cold wet and cross . These shoes are only a little over 1 year old and had within 10 months with infrequent use become unwearable . My husband who bought a pair of walking shoes at the same time is still wearing his and they are completely waterproof still, cost less than my Merrell shoes. Terrible quality and very poor customer service as still not heard anything .

Crosslander as long as the land is dry!

Very dangerous on wet terrain!Beware!
The Merrell crosslander3 shoes are a hazard the moment the ground is wet. I understand they are marketed for "dry climates," but there is absolutely no warning that they are extremely slippery when wet. And I mean extremely, it’s like walking on ice.
I had a serious fall that resulted in injuries to my elbow and knee. It is unacceptable for a hiking brand not to include a visible warning about this risk. If you are looking for something safe for all types of climate conditions, do not buy this model. Merrell needs to be much more transparent for the sake of user safety.
I am incredibly disappointed.

I bought shoes from Merrell online, so slippy in wet I fell over ,they are dangerous and that will not refund.

I bought shoes from Merrell online. The first day I wore them they were good. The second day We had had a shower of rain and I walked along the path I always walk and slipped over and was very lucky not to have broken something. When I stood up I had to take the shoes off and walk home barefoot ,they were so dangerous and slippy. I contacted Merrell and sent them all the photos of the shoes as requested. They are still like new. and asked for a refund. They have then asked for a video to show me slipping over in the shoes. I asked them were they serious. This is terrible customer service.

Very poor quality

Very poor quality, toe rubber splitting on both shoes after 14 months of very light use.

Merrell used to be so good ?, I won't buy again and looking at the reviews no one else should!

My boots are dangerous

My boots are dangerous. They look good and are comfortable but I was walking and the lace from one boot got caught in the lace hook on the other boot and they tripped me up really bad. I’m young and I have really hurt both feet, knees and hands. If I was older this could have been terrible
