I am told I have messages, I know I don't but face book needs me to download to prove I don't have messages. Control is fine, bullying with zero substance is alienating.

New messenger app sucks

New messenger app sucks. Windows desktop app was superior. Now it runs off a browser and requires you to keep the app open instead of having it minimised in the background

Facebook randomly decides to suspend my…

Facebook randomly decides to suspend my account saying I've posted stuff against community standards. My account has been compromised with logins without my permission and when I reset my password they locked me out and now it says my account is suspended and to appeal on Instagram.
I have tried to do that but there is no option to appeal and the Instagram referring to is not my own account it's a scam account. I have emailed to appeal this as it's wrong and I haven't done anything wrong. It has logged me out of messenger too.

Please can someone from the help team get in touch and help me to resolve this matter

0 help for hacked accounts when email is changed by hackers . Disgrace .

Absolute nightmare . Disgrace that they have no customer service for the increased people whose accounts are hacked . Report hacked accounts & still they don’t delete profiles or accounts . The company should be ashamed of itself how people’s accounts are so easily hacked . Facebook & messenger are shameful . Spend your billions of profit & sort the security out & get some kind of customer service together .

Videocal? Nah you can't do that

I live in China (so I use a VPN) and my family is back in the UK. Ten years ago my parents weren't on Facebook so we used Skype which became too complicated for my parents (they are old, resetting a password is beyond them) so we moved to Facebook back in 2019 or maybe 2020.
I use my phone a little but I am on my laptop for video calls. Then one day Messenger starts blocking browser-based video calls! Install the app on the PC and it is junk! Send messages on PC and it does not send them (Android app shows noting is being sent). Try to call my mother it says I am already in a call. Other times it won't connect. My mother has the same issue and she, being in her 70s, has no idea what to do.
And the Android app acts the same way!
I have deleted cache and forced stop... If that works it is not a permanent fix. Uninstalled-reinstalled... Same result! It could work this time but next time I want to make a video call I have the same issues.

The Messenger app is of very poor quality

The Messenger app is of very poor quality.
I only use it for the communication when selling/ buying stuff on Marketplace.
The actual field where you write your text is very small keeping you busy scrolling up and down your written text.
The top space is stating the "Marketplace listing" followed by your ad text and "View Buyer" & "More Options" links taking around 1/3 of the mobile screen. At the bottom is your keyboard.

If you have an unfinished/ unsent text and close the app there is a good chance the text is gone when you return.
Also the poor idea of sending the pre-written text "Is this still available" was not accepted by the sellers and let to them not responding.
Noticing the poor user ratings here tells me that the Messenger team has no interest in changing that to improve their product, meaning they want it the way it is and it seems there is a reason behind

Awful design

I'd like Facebook to explain why it is impossible to multiple delete chats. When offering an item for sale in marketplace and getting 50 responses it is impossible to delete them in one go once the item is sold. Why??
Absolutely pathetic, whoever designed this should be ashamed, a 10 year old could do better.

This platform is an utter mess

This platform is an utter mess. Above all, the notification system is and has for a long time been completely broken, with continuous notifications for messages that are then impossible to find. The settings menu is hard to find and navigate and doesn't usually have the options you want anyway. Changes are constantly being made with no warning or explanation and Help information is not updated in time. The desktop and phone versions have different things available, as do views through Messenger and Meta Business Suite, so you have to switch between programmes, profiles and even devices to find an option or a message. Privacy controls are poor and spam control is awful.
