I used to love the Metro, but something has went seriously wrong with it. There's constant republications of old articles, there's adverts for OnlyFans models disguised as articles, there's articl... See more

NO WONDER ITS FREE

NO WONDER ITS FREE ! if kids read the newspaper they might throw up
i personally never seen such great movement in order to make people stupid with this stupid news- i mean truly disgusting news paper - you never learn - is this the knowledge meant to uplift or be shared with the public ? ?
i mean 999% of the news are useless -i would ban this news paper if it was me - and actually put useful things that make our society productive and of nobility character - no wonder is FREE

Easily the worst rag out there

Easily the worst rag out there, closely followed by The Independent.
Pushing government agendas with lies and propaganda. Promoting covid vaccines for young children by making up scaremongering headlines which are always from the other side of the world conveniently.
This “news” outlet is free for a reason, I wouldn’t even wipe my ass on it.

This has to be the most deluded…

This has to be the most deluded newspaper/magazine in England. The writers (not journalists) are pathetic. It's propaganda at its finest and a total waste of paper. It should be shut down and all involved forced to sell the big issue.

News for Children?!

Full of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors; rehashed stories taken from other news outlets; a never ending procession of teenaged 'Journalists' who appear not to know left from right (or vice-versa!?). That's about It, I'm afraid!
Just three themes seem to cover most of 'Metros' subject matter; (a.)Main news items of the day, regurgitated from other news outlets, (b.) Petty, banal, social-media based articles which they consider to be newsworthy, and (c.) Underhanded advertising features presented as normal news items. That's about It. Don't bother attempting to navigate around the site - unless you have a strange compulsion to tear your hair out In frustration! Leaving a comment on any page/story on Metro will have a particularly detrimental effect on your patience and sanity! After posting, you'll be lucky to find that particular comment section ever again -and If Metro send you an email with a direct link to your comment, you'll get the correct page, but the comments section will usually be missing, often never to return. They seem to switch on/off at random! It beggars belief that these problems haven't been resolved.
In Brief terms? Amateurish, shoddy, ill-informed, childish and pretty pointless, really. Certainly worth a visit - like It's worth visiting a Circus to see the Clowns. But for news? Don't bother, friends! ; )

Overwhelmed with adds

Overwhelmed with adds, once you click to get rid of one another pops up. I understand the need for adverts but not on this scale. For me its unreadable hence the 1 star.

Poor man's viz

Tabloid at best, very unashamedly right wing so no balanced news reporting. Also shocking click bait tactics. It is owned by the same group as the daily mail so I should have guessed. More of a concern is the comments page. The hatred for prince Harry on there is unbelievable. I'm no fan of royalty but it feels like a massively over the top witch hunt and unfortunately speaks volumes about their readership.

The cancel culture of the common person

The Metro and it's sister publication, The Daily Mail love a headline about culture cancel after some highly paid gob on a stick is removed from one platform only to then appear on several other to complain about it.
But Metro itself is less willing to give readers a voice.
Recently Metro has been running a series of Iceland ads that reduce the viewing experience to around a 1/4 of the screen once all ads are running.
Mention the ads though and they remove the comment, a second offense see all comments automatically removed. There is nothing offensive, nothing sexist, racist or inflammatory but to question is verboten.
So, cancel culture, only for the working class I'm afraid

Hilariously bad website

Hilariously bad website. I've been on spyware riddled grumble sites better looking and more easily navigable than this ad-infested abomination.

Visited once. Wont be back. Pretty much unusable. Get your news elsewhere.

Don't waste your time

Their website offers you a difficult choice. If you are using an adblocker it won't show you an article. If you aren't using an adblocker it lights up your page with so much active content and videos that your PC looks like a virus infected PC from the early 2000s making it pretty much impossible to read the article anyway. Simplest solution is not to bother.

I'm sick of the METRO and its…

I'm sick of the METRO and its propaganda, the mainstream media in the UK is at its lowest ever, they spread lies and fear and its time everybody took a stand. The METRO has been spreading false info and news for far too long. Time to boycott.
