If you are considering buying a car from the UK, I highly recommend MHH International. They deal with the car buying and import processes and any “hassle” you may have to deal with, so that you don’t have to deal with this on your own. Chris and his team are very knowledgeable about the whole process from A to Z. They are very efficient and they make the car buying and import process a straightforward one. From the outset, Chris was remarkably easy to talk to, he clearly walked us through the whole process in detail and was always there to answer every question that we had. I approached MHH International as I had already bought a VAT Qualifying car and exported it but I was having a very difficult time getting the correct advice on how to get the VAT refund. Bearing in mind I had not purchased the car through MHHI and they had no reason to help, I received a call from Alistair who was a breath of fresh air. He was the only person I’ve spoken to who actually knew how the process works. He gave the advice freely and has been a huge help. Was looking for a company to support the export of a car from the UK to Ireland, since the UK left the EU making things more challenging. After a bit of research and speaking with a couple of companies, I decided to work with MHH international. Communication with Chris was prompt and very helpful at every stage. Once I had found the car, Chris worked with the dealer to arrange everything, paperwork, transportation and export. Chris and the MHH team also provided contacts for the customs import process on the other side. All teams worked well together, allowing me relax and let the professionals do what they do best.

Three things I was looking for - hassle free, reasonable cost and most Importantly a trusted transaction. Let's be honest transferring a significant amount of money to a company or people you have not met before relies on a lot of trust. I did my due diligence and everything stacked up. Allister and the team were responsive, provided commonsense solutions at a fair price. The team went above and beyond what I expected and everything was communicated clearly and promptly. No stress and got things done. Very satisfied.

The process of purchasing a car from overseas is far from straight forward however Alistear and the team at MHH could not have been more helpful. They were very clear on the entire process and communicated regularly throughout.

Tried calling to purchase a car for export for personal use and spoke to a guy called Alistair... all seemed to be fine until I mentioned my destination and he said he wouldn't be able to give me a VAT qualified car with the discount as he's working with someone in my location and they had a personal deal that could affect the business! so id have to pay full price and claim back the VAT myself.

I didn't mind that as I see a car I really liked so he then said message me on whatsapp and he will send me the details of the car i was interested in. well this is where i'm disappointed with the company as i sent a message with no reply which i find very unprofessional and rude! I was only looking to buy a car for personal use and got treated like a criminal.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Chris Nelson at MMH International whilst importing a Tesla Y from the UK to Barbados.
Anyone reading this, please accept this as a bona fide reference from a first time customer who discovered MMH through a Google search.
It’s a little unnerving sending large sums of money by wire transfer with nothing more than a promise of good faith. Especially these days with all the attempted fraud online.
Anyone who reads this can take comfort that MMH International is REAL and TRUSTWORTHY .
Chris was very efficient and professional in his duties to me as a customer. The acquisition of the vehicle, the logistics of delivery to port and the shipping CIF Barbados all went off very smoothly.
Documentation and transfer of the vehicle again were seamless.
These are aspects of vehicle acquisition that are taken for granted in first world countries. Not so when you try and deal with island nations.
Chris was also very helpful in providing incremental documentation that was required by myself not only for importation but for registration and insurance purposes.
All in all a FIVE STAR experience.
My only caution in doing this transaction again, has nothing to do with MMH. My advice would be to work backwards to discover what the host country insurance/registration requirements are BEFORE acquisition. ONLY because this was a TESLA, a vehicle which in Barbados still has very little presence. Getting the vehicle to Barbados was no issue. The biggest problems occurred with insurance and registration as this vehicle brand was virtually unknown. In spite of having completed his obligations to me, Chris continued to be helpful in assisting me navigate this process as well.
