We had a wonderful experience at Middleton Lodge – Coach House. The service was outstanding from start to finish: warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful, which really made the visit special. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, with a charming atmosphere and aesthetic that feels both elegant and relaxed – perfect for unwinding and enjoying a meal.
The food was excellent, and I’d especially recommend the fish and chips – perfectly cooked, crispy, and full of flavour. It’s a standout dish in an already impressive menu.
Overall, a truly memorable dining experience – fantastic service, gorgeous surroundings, and delicious food. Highly recommended!

I travel quite a bit and have stayed at many locations not worth mentioning. Middleton Lodge, to me, feels literally like a home away from home. I have now stayed at Middleton Lodge 3 times over the past few years.
Every stay has been magical and special. From the initial welcome (which is second to none), the staff are so welcoming and friendly and the food is always outstanding.
The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable and they provide some amazing quality Noble Isle products within the rooms which really adds a delightful sense of extravagance.
I try to stay here at least 1-2 times a year as a self-reflecting treat and highly recommend a visit if you can.

As a wedding photographer, I was blown away by the beauty and grandeur of the Georgian estate set on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The 200-acre estate boasts a large country house, renowned walled gardens, and an award-winning hotel, making it the perfect escape for a dream wedding.
The Georgian main house is a magnificent 16-bedroom property with characterful reception rooms, a private bar area, a sweeping staircase, and a garden marquee. The walled gardens with the Fig House are a stunning two-acre space that are perfect for outdoor events. The option to hire both private event spaces allows couples to plan and celebrate their dream wedding across the entire estate.
I was struck by the beauty of the main house with its classic Georgian proportions, tall white columns, and elegant decor. The walled gardens were equally impressive, with their well-manicured lawns and beautiful flora and fauna. The Fig House, with its views of the charming countryside, made for a stunning backdrop for the wedding ceremony.
The friendly and professional staff at the estate were a pleasure to work with, guiding the couple and their guests through the hidden treasure of the manor for an event that will not be forgotten. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the wedding, from the décor to the food and drinks, which were all of high quality and locally sourced.
Overall, I highly recommend the Georgian estate for any couple looking for a breathtaking and historic setting for their wedding. The combination of beauty, history, and excellent service make it the perfect location for a memorable and special day.
