Excellent service from Kim

My brother and I visited the Cardiff store to purchase a mobility scooter for him. We were greeted by a very friendly Kim, who immediately offered us a seat and refreshments. She was excellent in every way, kind, courteous, extremely well informed and couldn’t have been more helpful. She was patient with my brother and nothing was too much trouble for her. I was very impressed with Kim and my brother and I are both delighted with his purchase, feeling confident in the way Kim explained everything about it.

Positive demo

Mobility scooter demonstrated yesterday. Roy was very professional and friendly. There were no pressure sales. It was a very positive demonstration. Now awiting arrival of the scooter.

Amazing staff, perfect place to go

Due to a problem with my back I was in need of a rise / recliner chair and always finding the staff at Middletons very helpful and knowledgeable I went there. I was met by Nick who was superb. He was friendly and knew everything there was about the full range of products, could answer any question that was asked. The staff are always very patient and allow you as much time as you need to make decisions, you never feel like you are under pressure and Nick was no exception. Thank you Nick you are a true credit.

Total lack of service

Bought a scooter from Tunstall in April for several thousand pounds. It broke down 3 weeks later and after 4 months still hasn't been repaired. Weekly phone calls just elicit the same response, "It has been ordered and will be with you by next Wednesday". Don't believe them any more.

On 14/9/22 gave them 2 weeks to
a) repair the scooter or
b) replace the scooter or
c) refund my payment

No reply from them yet on that.

On submitting this report I got a "standard" reply asking for more details. When I tried replying to that all I could do was enter my phone number which I have given them about 15 times already, usually with the comment from them each time "Somebody will get back to you", but of course nobody has.

Jen at Shrewsbury was very helpful and…

Jen at Shrewsbury was very helpful and caring when my mum came in to purchase a new chair. We purchased one that we could take away the same day wich was pretty amazing. The store was extremely clean and spacious and was free to try the chair first. Would definitely recommend this store for anyone who needs a bed chair or scooter. Thanks

So helpful.

I have just purchased a reclining chair…

I have just purchased a reclining chair from Middletown’s, and I have to say the customer service was excellent.my mother has suddenly gone into a home, and we were in urgent need of a chair. Nella who served me was immediately cognisant of our needs, and very empathetic to us, in what is a particularly emotional time. She gave me great advice, and steered me towards a product with which I’m sure my mother will be delighted.

Lack of empathy and consideration for customers

I requested a brochure. Was then told a rep was in the area next day. Appointment made, no show. 1 hour after the appointed time i was called to say couldn't make it. Had a brief talk about what I wanted. No chair ordered
1 week late had phone call requesting payment of my order. I explained I hadn't ordered anything and was told it was a mix up. Two weeks later received another call thanking me for my deposit telling me balance now due. Today receive another call thanking me for my deposit and they needed me to pay for the chair and requested my payment details. Yet again I advised I hadn't ordered one. Was told the leavers team would contact me. I never Joined in the first place so why talk to leavers team. I asked to speak to manager and was told all busy. Eventually after 45 mins a lady came on and spoke to me When I asked what sort of chair, I was supposed to have ordered they hadn't got a clue. All in all, spent 2 hours on the phone just to be told these things happen. Lot of new starters who don't understand the systems. During my calls I felt uncomfortable and that I didn't know what I was talking about. I am not happy that a company supposedly there to help acted in such a way. Its hard enough being disabled without having to put up with this treatment and hard pressure selling. There are other mobility companies out there and offer better service and keener prices. No I would not recommend Middletons.

Went into Middletons in Coventry today…

Went into Middletons in Coventry today with my disabled sister ,to buy her a new chair but she had grander plans and we ended up ordering an electric chair and double bed plus she bought a great buggy for making her more independent ABSOLUTLEY GREAT GUYS ,John and Nathan are a credit to Middletons and they have the best biscuits too lol .We were there 3 hours and the guys ended up being like family THANKYOU FOR MAKING MY SISTER VERY HAPPY

I suffer from vascular clarification…

I suffer from vascular clarification which has worsened over the past 2 years. I went to Middletons and was advised by a young salesman that the best one to have was what I purchased. Due to illness I haven't been able to use the machine, it has been no more than a few yards because my husband also elderly is unable to lift it into the car. I rang the company and asked if I could trade it in and just got "No, no and another no" What about the insurance they sell you. No good I'm told. What a wicked company to the elderly. I said " have I got to sell it myself and buy another more practical" answer "Well, yeah" Don't go there

Visited Middletons at Tunstall today…

Visited Middletons at Tunstall today regarding looking for a chair for my nan.she looked around the store and was greeted by Tanya. Tanya explained and asked her what she was looking for in a chair regarding comfort and the use of the chair. She explained things very well and went into details to match my nans need.
Tanya had great customer service and my nan is very impressed and please on what she has chosen.
Never been to middletons and it was a great and friendly experience.
We would definitely vist again in the future.

You want to be very careful when you…mr John Scollen

You want to be very careful when you buy off these you can end up like me disabled for life and Middleton won’t do anything to help you I bought one of these scooters and they are not checked and are dangerous you don’t want to buy one it cost me £3000 and I cannot get it back from Middleton I have had 3 solicitors and ombudsman on to claim off them but with Kate Middleton been his daughter and married to Prince William they won’t take the case on in case it went into Royalties so I have a £3000 scooter lying in my back yard as could not claim as they won’t answer any of your letters don’t buy off this firm they won’t do anything for you as long as they have your money they will just sit back and laugh at you they are doing this to all Disabled people and getting away with it They thought Prince William would be come King when the queen died so she would be Queen so they would get Royalties on their scooters these are Dangerous and you could end up like me and crippled for life where you have to depend on others to do things for you and you get depressed when you cannot do anything and you have a £3000 Scooter lying in your back yard this scooter as trapped a nerve in my neck and they won’t operate as it is to dangerous to go in and the pain doesn’t go away because I have tried to get help with it but their is nothing they can do to help me with it so be careful when you get one of these scooters
