I have two Miele appliances oven and dishwasher - both are problematic
I have two Miele appliance: oven and dishwasher. Both had and continue to have problems. The oven first had a broken door spring that they claim on youtube is tested for 30,000 openings. Mine broke after less than 1000. That got fixed but the oven bakes unevenly and there seems to be no way to fix it. The dishwasher had problems with paint peeling off the racks. Not the usual wear where the dishes touch the paint (after a long use), but at the bottom of the racks where nothing was touching the paint. The company is a real pain to deal with. Uniformly obnoxious reps and supervisors. They also refuse to provide service manuals to consumers which is a violation of the law. Stay away.
Horrible Customer Service
I purchased a Miele washer and dryer a year ago, and it needed to be serviced and fell under warranty so I had a technician come by to fix it. While my washer and dryer have been great, the technician lied about what was wrong, so his visit wouldn’t fall under warranty. I have had to call support 8 times, all saying they are going to escalate my issue, all keeping me on hold for long periods of time, and the promise of calling me back after each call, which they never did. The customer support team didn’t even have copies of the service technicians reports, and asked me to send them which is crazy to me. I have spent hours dealing with this, with every support person telling me something different. My issue is still not resolved.
We purchased a Miele dishwasher because…We’ll never buy another!
We purchased a Miele dishwasher because of the excellent reviews. Needless to say the dishwasher cleans well and is incredibly quiet. However we kept finding set screws in the kitchen floor and couldn’t identify the source until the handle fell off. Miele charged $18.00 per set screw for the ones we lost and gave no help offering suggestions to prevent a recurrence. We have to tighten them once a month. Recently the door wouldn’t open because the panel at the base realigned . After removing it , the securing parts wouldn’t seal properly. So we just propped it back and awaiting its separation again. I wrote an email to Miele, was promised a reply in two business days and received nothing.
We would never buy another!
I would give zero stars if I could
I would give zero stars if I could. Our telescopic wand button has broken 3 times - the last one only lasting 4 months. Calling customer service is a joke - I felt like we were speaking two different languages, never understanding each other, never getting even the most basic of questions answered. He literally knew nothing and understood nothing. It is embarrassing for Miele to be run this way.
I have a Miele CVA 4070 - Coffee/Cappucino Maker
I have a $4,000 Miele CVA 4070 Coffe/Expresso/Cappucino maker. It is impossible to find anyone who will Repair/Service the product. There are none at all in the 19355 area. How can you sell an expensive product that has no service available?
Disappointed in quality of cordless vacuum and even more disappointed in Customer Service.
So disappointed. I thought Miele was a high quality brand, but no longer.
I have a Triflex HX1 cordless vacuum. I purchased it 2 years ago for $600 and now the roller will not spin. I see from Reddit and other places that this is a common problem, and that model has been upgraded because of the problem. It will cost approximately $300 for a new part.
I talked to Miele’s customer service and said I felt I should at least get a large discount on the new part. Absolutely no, they can do nothing I was told. And I was not allowed to speak to the manager because I would be told the same thing.
Would give zero stars if possible.
Poor quality product, Miele refusing to return it new in box.
I recently purchased several attachments for one of my Miele vacuums (I have two). 2/3 attachments worked well and I wanted to keep them. The third one, SUB20 Universal Brush, did not have adequate suction when tested against my hand. I asked to return it (right away after receiving, in brand new, unused condition) and Miele is giving me a hard time, asking me to send them videos to prove that it is defective. What? This is an unacceptable way to treat a loyal customer giving them honest feedback on a bad product and asking for a refund.
A dreadful company that shows no respect for its customers
I have never encountered a company with such horrendous customer service. We have already had 2 technician appointments scrubbed for unknown reasons while our expensive Miele dryer — which is under warranty - sits there producing no heat. We are now waiting for another scheduled tech appointment - the tech is already way more than an hour late - and the Miele phone rep has no idea when or if the tech will show up. Never again with this dreadful company that shows zero respect for its customers or its warranties. I’d prefer to give ZERO stars.
Customer service absolutely suck. Avoid at all costs.
While the products are enticing, despite the premium prices, the customer service absolutely sucks.. sucks.. sucks... Each salesperson and service agent gives different and wrong information, no integration between sales, delivery, and installation. Very, very, very poor. Absolutely avoid Miele.
online shenanigans that continue at customer service
I ordered a replacement filter on-line. Website said the transaction did not work. Re-did the order. It went through. Then 2 hours later, I received 2 order confirmations. I called the company the next morning to cancel one. They said oops, it already was shipped. Received the orders and on the packing slip it said they were printed almost 2 hours later, so they were not shipped out. Lie. I was on the phone forever trying to get a freaking RA number, always having the wrong person who they transferred me to. Finally I threatened a couple times to start a dispute with AMEX. It still took forever, and only by telling them that they have 10 minutes to email me the shipping label (after they already said they would, and then put me on hold again for 15 plus minutes... and coming back saying they need their supervisor to do the shipping label! )with the precious RA number did they do anything. Of course it took another 8 minutes. I told them I will never buy another Miele product again. Oh, and also, the Miele repairman 8ish years ago unapologeticly ripped my linoleum! They were worse than United Healthcare!
They don't stand behind their products
They don't stand behind their products, instantly broke refused to fix it after spending $5,000 on a brand new washer and dryer at Baron's. You call the 888# and you get China or somewhere, they don speak English, the call always has static, and the person Lies to you! Any service request to fix your appliance is Billable no matter if it's under warranty.
Can I give a -5 review
Can I give a -5 review? I purchased the vacuum on September 30, 2025 a part came defective. Called warranty right away. Spent six phone calls later anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours each phone call. No help any other times except for the very last time on call five. Went to use the vacuum today. Another part broke just completely fell apart in my hands. Called warranty sat on the phone for an hour and a half. For her to tell me that a manager is going to call me back. A manager didn’t call me back the last four times. She told me the part was too expensive that a supervisor couldn’t approve for it to ship because it’s just too pricey. Yes I spent $900 on this vacuum. I agree it’s it’s pricey. I would like it to work when I buy it. Worst customer service ever.
bought a vacuum cleaner stopped working…
bought a vacuum cleaner stopped working after 3 months sent off for repair they cant find where the item is when you call the repair centre it come up as Carlisle security services not a repair centre the call handler at Miele try to help but never called back when you read other reviews about miele they reflect the same problems poor quality poor service not worth the money dont buy any of there products as you will live to regret it you would be better off buy an unknow brand which will last for years
BE CAREFUL WHEN ORDERING PARTS FROM…
BE CAREFUL WHEN ORDERING PARTS FROM MIELE USA. On 9/8/2025 I spoke to their representative and ordered replacement rails for the toe kick on my dishwasher. On 9/10/2025 I received the one of the wrong parts. Turns out the order was split due to wrong parts availability. I reviewed the 9/8/2025 confirmation letter and discovered it listed the wrong parts and I did not see this. My bad! I placed a new order for the correct parts. I was told that the wrong part that was not available would not be shipped. I did receive the correct parts on 2nd go round. Surprise on 9/22/2025 when I get a notification that the split order wrong part has been shipped. I called on 9/23/2025 and after another long call was told the shipment could not be stopped but a supervisor had approved a refund without return of part for the 9/22/2025 shipment. As I was out of town I was asked to call again went I got home and could confirm delivery of the 9/22/2025 shipment? It is now 10/1/2025 and I have been on the phone for the last 47 minutes dealing with this. Customer service slow and very poor. If I was not retired I would not waste my time over a $25 transaction. Now it’s about the principal of the matter. Unfortunately you need to deal with Miele in order to get parts. The product is great. Just do not need replacement parts.
Horrible experience with Miele. Never again.
I have a 2 year old house with a full Miele appliance package including a 48 inch range, another separate full size oven, dishwasher, 36 inch refrigerator, 36 inch freezer, built in coffee maker and microwave. Almost every one of these appliances has issues of one sort or another.
Starting with the range, 2 of the 6 gas burners shoot out long fingerlike flames rather than a nice ring of fire like you'd expect. 3 of the six won't light automatically with the built in igniter so I have to use a lighter. On the 2 ovens in that range, they use a touchscreen apparently borrowed from the 1980s that refuses human input 90% of the time. So far the griddle is the only thing that works as expected on the range.
Moving on to the dishwasher, it has so far worked ok, but it's infuriating to use on a daily basis. Why? Because someone at Miele thought it would be cute to have the display show the Miele logo for 20 seconds or so when you turn on the appliance, during which time you cannot do anything other than stare at the logo. About every 10th time it doesn't show the logo and you can just select the mode and start the dishwasher. The rest of the time, you have to sit and wait for it to go away. And all this while already having a permanently embossed logo stamped into the stainless steel 4 inches away on the same panel.
On the refrigerator, the biggest issue is the plastic clips that are used on the drawers. They fall out constantly making the drawer unusable until you empty it out, take it all apart, retrieve the fallen clip and reassemble it so you can open and close the drawer normally.
The freezer is ok except for the ice maker, which is poorly designed and placed making it not only a pain to access the ice, but also making half the ice in the bin useless. We use it every day yet in just a 2 or 3 days time, all the ice in the bottom is fused together in what looks like snow cone ice.
The coffee machine makes good coffee, but it is constantly calling for me to empty the drip tray or the waste bin, even though they are already empty. I sometimes have to remove and reinsert either one 3 or 4 times to get the machine to allow me to continue to make a cup of coffee.
The microwave with its knobs rather than a typical set of soft buttons feels like something from the 70s, but otherwise works ok.
Overall, everything is poorly engineered and cheaply made, which is pretty shocking from the Germans.
This is the worst company I have ever…
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in all 40 years of my life. We spent over $2000 on a dishwasher that broke two months after the two year warranty. It will cost more to fix it than it does to buy a new dishwasher. It’s been three weeks and their customer service is no help at all. Run far away from this company.
Deceptive and Customer Service is USELESS!
On the MIELE website (link below) there is no compatabilty issues in the description of this item not working with any of it's vacuums, yet is does not work with my Miele
Classic C1 and they are aware that it does not. Their Amazon store front specifically states that it is in fact compatible with the Miele Classic C1. I have screenshots of both. This is very deceptive or at least extreme oversite site on their part, neither should cost me $374, I talked to customer service yesterday evening less than an hour after delivery and after going back and forth with "Jen" they refused my request for a refund.
I order a vaccum that's in stock. Charge my CC. And nothing.
I order a vaccum that's in stock. They send an order confirmation and charge my credit card. Then radio silence. I call days later to find out there actually is not stock in Canada, and there won't be for the rest of the year. Absolute joke of a company. I'll spend my $1000 elsewhere
Miele usa customer service is awful
Miele usa customer service is awful. Don't buy their products, you will not get any help. We had a defective floor brush and they refused to help. Stay away. They won't help.
Dreadful dreadful dreadful
Dreadful dreadful dreadful. So shortsighted to be so tight fisted. if they actually cared about their customers they would make much more profit so it seems utterly counterproductive to offer such awful, inauthentic customer service and no returns for products that simply don't work. I will never buy a Miele product again
