(14:32:51) Tim: Hello! Tim here from the Support Team. I'll check your request right away.
(14:35:17) Tim: Thank you for reaching out.
We have reviewed the documents you submitted for account verification. Unfortunately, the verification was not successful.
Possible reasons for verification failure include:
* Significant mismatch between profile information (name, date of birth) and document details (only minor spelling differences are acceptable)
* Document type not accepted by our verification provider
* Expired document
* Account holder appears to be under 18 years of age
* Document shows signs of alteration
----
Addendum: The 3-Minute "Verification" Sham
Your "support" is a performance. Tim responded at 14:32:51; by 14:35:17, three minutes, you had already "reviewed" documents and manufactured five contradictory rejections. This is not verification; this is a pre-written denial script to block wage claims.
Let me dismantle your fabricated excuses:
"Name mismatch": My profile displays only my full name. There is nothing to mismatch.
"Document type not accepted": Vietnamese National ID Card is standard government-issued identification. Your provider's incompetence is not my liability.
"Expired": Valid until 2042. Basic reading comprehension failure.
"Under 18": The DOB is clearly visible. Your provider needs glasses, not an excuse to steal wages.
"Signs of alteration": It was live verification. Real-time capture cannot be "altered."
The Reality
You never intended to verify anything. This obstacle course was deployed after I demanded payment, a transparent tactic to shift blame onto workers for your theft.
Final Notice
When I request verification, it means you should sit down with me and clarify the issue together, not come to a conclusion after 3 minutes.
Your "support" exists solely to generate pretexts for wage withholding. I am documenting this entire exchange for labor authorities, payment processors, and public disclosure.

This must have been a great platform some 3 years ago. Now everyone that is on here is really going for the most vulnerable parts of the pouplation to exploit for the most miserable pay imaginable. The projects involving prolonged training are even worse.

In over twenty-five years working in IT, I have rarely come across an experience as frustrating as this one.
I joined Mindrift believing I was entering a platform designed for professionals in artificial intelligence, software development, and technical analysis.
What I actually found was a confusing, poorly structured process that, at times, felt completely disconnected from the professional environment it claims to represent.
After submitting my résumé, personal information, professional background, and completing a lengthy registration process, any reasonable person would expect the platform to evaluate their skills and assign work that matches their expertise.
That is not what happened.
My first assignment required me to install a VPN, connect through a US IP address, register on a third-party platform, and complete the entire exercise within approximately one hour and twenty minutes.
What no one tells you is that you may spend a significant part of that time simply trying to find a VPN, install it, configure it, troubleshoot network issues, and understand why the required website does not even work.
In my case, the VPN actually prevented access to the required website. I had to diagnose the issue, modify my network configuration, and only then was I finally able to access the platform—while the countdown timer continued running.
The first task was rejected.
On my second attempt, I followed every instruction exactly as described.
However, the interface I received was different from the one shown in the onboarding instructions.
As an IT professional, I did what any tester or developer would do: I documented the discrepancy with screenshots and reported it.
The task remained "In Review."
I opened a support ticket.
I exchanged nine emails with the support team, providing screenshots and a detailed explanation of the issue.
I was explicitly told that my submission had been received, that it was under review, and that no further action was required from my side.
A few hours later, the task was rejected.
No technical explanation.
No indication of what was supposedly wrong.
After spending more than twenty-five years designing software, managing information systems, and solving complex technical problems, being rejected after documenting an interface inconsistency exactly as requested is something I genuinely struggle to understand.
But the most surprising part came afterwards.
The next available tasks offered approximately $0.35 each.
In exchange, participants were asked to provide:
newly taken selfies;
archived selfies from different years;
cropped facial photographs taken from identity documents;
demographic information;
device information;
and explicit consent for the processing of biometric facial data for AI training.
All of this for thirty-five cents.
I also work as a Data Protection Officer (DPO).
I fully understand what biometric data represents and the responsibilities associated with processing it.
For that reason, I find the balance between the amount of personal and biometric information requested and the compensation offered to be highly disproportionate.
I joined Mindrift hoping to contribute my professional experience in software development and artificial intelligence.
Instead, I spent days dealing with confusing onboarding procedures, inconsistent instructions, rejected tasks without meaningful technical feedback, and requests for extensive biometric data in exchange for a few cents.
For me, this has been one of the most disappointing experiences I have ever had on an online work platform.

As a freelancer with 6 years of experience, I've used hundreds of platforms, and this has been the worst experience so far. Endless assessments and interviews, but no actual work. It feels like they're collecting data rather than hiring. The team hasn't responded to my messages for over 2 months. A complete waste of time and a frustrating experience for freelancers. Would not recommend.

Absolutely horrible. You'll make about US$4.00 an hour. And before that on all projects you will have to do several hours of training - unpaid - and tests - unpaid - and then once in a project, you'll be required to submit a large number of unpaid tasks to prove you are competent enough to work on the project. An absolutely terrible site.

I have enjoyed using this site and have been successful with using the site for a side income. The only thing that I would change is that it takes a while to sometimes get work. You can join projects and wait weeks for tasks, if you even get any at all.

Let me share a joke. There is a task "Upload Selfies: New and Archive Photos."
You have to upload:
- 4 currently captured selfies in different locations and conditions.
- 5 Selfies from your archive. They must be in different years.
- 5 Selfies from at least 5+ years ago.
- 2 Photos from your document, like a photo of a printed photo or passport.
Guess how much you will get? $20? $30? Yes, you are almost correct. You will get 35.
Wait! Not $35, you will get 35 cents. Yes! You read it right. You will get only $0.35 by selling your identity with unlimited revisions. You may need to upload again if any specific condition is not met.
I bet a slave in the 18th-19th century earned more than that.

Asks for long assignments with no pay and rejects most job applications. Probably they use these assignments for training AI.

This platform has to be the worst platform that I have interacted with as a freelancer. Their customer support is also slow as hell. Not only did they block my account despite me having an AI interview in a few days' time, but the AI interview was also a total disaster. The AI stopped halfway through reading my interview question and ended the interview without completing it. I got an email later saying I didn't meet their requirement. How am I supposed to meet your requirement when I wasn't given the chance to know what I was asked? I deleted my account after all this back-to-back nonsense. I will never use this platform again.

I lost my phone number and requested for a change of phone number but till now i have not gotten any response from support, for over 5 days now no response. the support of mindrift does not reply, This is the case reference 1276489, and till now no response from mindrift, this so bad and i am not happy.
Mindrift knows how to reply here on Trustpilot but will never reply on my query, this is so bad, this is over a week now

It's a scam. I applied, submitted my resume, filled out their questionnaires, and was "selected." Only after being selected are you told that when you get paid, you will be paid by some unheard-of method. It seems like a company that also belongs to the same umbrella, so I guess it takes a cut of whatever you make—but that's not the worst part. The worst part is the endless loops of having to fill out questionnaires when there is never any actual "work." Their system glitches, so it asks you to fill out the same or very similar questionnaires again and again. Three months later, and there still wasn't any actual job, only you filling out random "training" material.

Pay rate is way lower than what you actually make. Tasks typically take about 10-15hrs each, maybe 5 if you are in a different field. And they pay $30 a task. Most of the tasks I was given are almost impossible, and generated by a computer, geared towards computers. They have no actual basis in real life.

I have heard reports that some Mindrift accounts are being blocked shortly after a withdrawal request is initiated. Unfortunately, the same thing happened to me.
I am extremely disappointed by this situation. I have invested a significant amount of time and effort completing tasks on the platform in good faith, and having my account blocked immediately after requesting a withdrawal feels unfair and concerning.

My experience with Mindrift has been extremely disappointing. Their customer service is among the worst I have ever encountered. My account was blocked without any clear explanation, and despite multiple attempts to contact support, I received little to no meaningful communication.
What is most frustrating is the amount of time it takes for them to review account issues. Instead of resolving problems in a reasonable timeframe, users are left waiting for months with no updates. The lack of transparency and responsiveness makes it impossible to trust the platform.
If Mindrift believes an account has violated a policy, they should at least provide a clear reason and conduct a timely review. Leaving users in limbo for months without answers is unacceptable.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Mindrift to others until they significantly improve their customer support, communication, and account review process.

Not worth your time – poor support and broken platform
I went through their full onboarding process: applied, passed an AI interview on data scraping, completed a newbie task for €10, and was promoted to junior level where I had to complete 6 tasks in 6 days.
On my first junior task I spent around 8 hours working, only to hit a technical issue that prevented me from submitting. I contacted support, they said they were looking into it. A week later, after following up again, they just asked me to be patient – no fix, no update, no accountability.
I lost 8 hours of work with zero compensation or resolution. If their platform has bugs that block submission and their support takes over a week without a real response, they are simply not a serious company to work with. Avoid.

I spent an entire day trying to complete my registration. First, the CV upload got stuck at 90% for over 12 hours — a file of only 84KB. Then, during the qualification test (divided into 5 blocks), I got an internal server error at the end of block 4 after an hour of work, forcing me to wait 30 minutes and redo everything from scratch. After finally passing the test, I tried to add PayPal as a withdrawal method via Tipalti: I received the SMS code, confirmed it, got a success pop-up — but 5 hours later the payment section still showed "You don't have withdrawal methods yet."
A platform that threatens to remove you from a project if you make more than 2 mistakes should first make sure their own website works. I have deleted my account.

I completed all the onboarding steps which took a few days. There was a written assessment at the end which i had 2 hours to complete and 2 minutes after i submitted somehow it was reviewed accurately and now my application is rejected. They want you to do free labour, complete scam

I have not yet received any tasks that would benefit me in any way .

I found Mindrift through a LinkedIn job posting advertising a part-time Web Designer role with up to $40/hour and 10-20 hours per week. What the posting doesn't mention is that this is actually gig-based freelance work with no guaranteed hours or projects, payments can take up to 30 days after approval, and work can be rejected without additional compensation.
The platform may be legitimate, but the gap between how it's advertised on LinkedIn and the actual working conditions is significant. Do your research before investing time in their onboarding process.
