I had a great experience on my mission trip to Asheville, NC. It was really fun to be able to connect with everyone I met and make an impact on their lives. I built some really great relationships and was able to get to know people better. The jobs were fun and a great way to learn new skills. I was a great time and I had fun serving Jesus on the trip
Great staff, good accommodations, projects were well organized and beneficial for all involved. The schedule was very put together and Christ focused.

I have been bringing youth group students on mission trips with Mission Discovery for a little over 20 years. It has always been a great experience. On the trip, I was able to volunteer as a Mission Discovery staff helping lead a few construction sites. It was awesome to watch the groups that were there serve and grow in their faith. God is great and it’s always a joy being a part of His Kindom work!!

I feel the week was a good mix of hard work, meaningful job site partners lined up by missions discovery, an awesome team (both MD team and the group I came with) opportunities to grow and just have fun!
Housing accommodations were great along with the food.
Our group was impacted by powerful testimonies shared, great worship, and good questions to wrestle with throughout the week. We were also blessed to enjoy Gods creation in the mountains.
Altogether, it just was a great trip. And I’d go again!

The staff from Mission Discovery were great. I did put in a request to get reimbursed for the background check as I was asked to submit a background check twice and I ended up paying twice.
My experience was so good, I loved serving with the Mission discovery team and Hailey made everything so awesome for everything to work perfectly. I feel the Lord called me to serve and serving in Ashville with Hailey was the perfect chance to serve

Overall, I enjoyed the trip. It was very humbling to see the state at which the locals in the village we were working at lived. It reminded me how blessed I truly am and how the majority of people across the world have so much less than I do. I did not expect how much physical labor we were going to do. I love getting my hands dirty and I knew we would be working but I did not know that it was going to take up most of our time. I wished we could have engaged with the community a little bit more while we were there. Maybe making more home visits or finding ways to speak with the locals. I was also very confused why there were no translators on the trip. We definitely made it by very well but it would have been extremely helpful, especially when trying to share the Gospel vocally, to have a translator with us. Some of us knew Spanish and some of them knew English but it was still tricky to navigate that language barrier. Lastly, I wish we spent more time in corporate prayer specifically for the people in the village. I believe prayer is so essential in all aspects of life but even more so when attempting to share the Gospel with none believers. I would have liked if we could have all come together as a group more to cry out for the lost souls we were interacting with. All in all, it was still a great trip and I am glad I went.

What made it great was just the visible impact we had on underprivileged communities. Seeing them smile and laughing with then even if it was broken English made thr whole trip beyond worth it. Beyond blessed to have done the will of Christ and become a little part in each of their stories no matter how small. And super grateful that mission discovery pit together a very organized trip. Obviously their are unpredictable variables you canr always plan for but every time the organization adapted and made the most out of every situation making it a trip that glorified our Lord. So grateful and so.blessed and going home so content and happy that I was able to help people and spread His word in the name of Jesus.

Life changing volunteer and travel experience Mission Discovery offered a meaningful, hands on volunteer trip that combined service work with cultural immersion
I had a wonderful experience on the Guatemala missions trip. Seeing the hands of God moving through us as we impacted the lives of the people we encountered.
Working with Missions discovery was a honor, and i thank the organization for the opportunity for my team and i to serve along them. Pastor Chris was amazing and did an awesome Job with coordinating and organizing the flow and mission assignments for the week. Only thing i thought could have been different was the peanut butter and jelly sandwich most days lol. Maybe they can be more creative with more lunch options. That was minor, overall the entire trip was amazing. I loved the gathering every night to worship and hear the word to receive a refreshing from God to start over again the next day.
I had Wonderful experience and left feeling fulfilled, renewed and humbled. I would do it again and recommend others to as well.

I really appreciated Josh, Hough, & Annette, and all of their help on our recent mission trip to Guatemala. It's always great working with Josh. The organization and caring attitude that Mission Discovery brings to our trips make them enjoyable for all and much easier for us to plan. Look forward to more trips in the future!

I believe made my experience great was working with Josh Mission Discovery. He was very passionate and you could tell he cared. Also,I believe being able to work with the people in Guatemala every day made a huge impact on why I think I was able to be helpful.

As I was serving with Mission Discovery in Guatemala, it was as if the Bible came to life before my very eyes. I didn’t read about those who were hungry and were fed. I was a part of it. I didn’t read about the apostles teaching others about Christ. I was a part of it. I didn’t read about comforting those who needed comforting. I was a part of it. I didn’t read how the love of Christ was spread to the least, the last, and the lost. By the grace and mercy of God, I (and my daughter) were a part of it. You can be a part of it. How? To love is to serve.

Everything about my Mission Discovery trip to Guatemala was perfect! The emails were always very detailed for planning and I didn’t miss a thing! I met the leader in the Guatemala airport along with the rest of the group for the week (I was a solo traveler). The week was just perfect from the group to the activities to the worship at night. I will 100% be doing another mission discovery trip!

We love Mission Discovery. We know once we get on the ground the team will be taken care of. We appreciate that there is daily structure and evening worship services. Many of our team said this was the best experience they’ve had to date. They felt it was the most spiritual trip yet. Our team particularly liked seeing a project go from start to finish building a house. We made great connections with Myra at the Kairos School. Guatemala is a place our team would like to go to again. Our team loves welcoming individuals into our group for the week.
This trip was different for me in that I came from Ecuador this year. I was so sick, but I knew if I got to Josh, he would make for sure I arrived at the hotel safely. Knowing that there is a coordinator on the ground preparing things is super helpful.
