Miss Merritt is a great teacher and tutored my daughter for IGCSE English. She knows the requirements of the curriculum well as she is also an examiner. I highly recommend her.

My daughter did maths GCSE tutoring with Joe, my daughter was getting a 4 in her mocks and was suffering with panic attacks so we felt like she needed that extra bit of help and found Joe. She did 5 months tutoring with Joe, when it came to sit her exams she felt much more confident going in, no panic attack and when the results came in she was a very high 6 only a few marks from a 7, my daughter was over the moon and owes a huge thanks to Joe for his time, patience and tailoring the time he spent with her to what she needed and areas she struggled most!

Miss Merritt has recently been tutoring my daughter who is in year 11 and needed some guidance on how to boost her English grade. Initially the tutoring was in an online group setting where my daughter felt anxious to join but Miss Merritt was very supportive and adapted her session to a more personal approach. Her online videos were clear and motivating. The tasks were easy to understand and personal feedback was always positive and extremely helpful in showing her how to improve on her work. I would highly recommend Miss Merritt to anyone looking for a tutor, her dedication and enthusiasm is amazing.

My daughter was really struggling with English GCSE; she completed some tests at the end of Year 10 and gave up half way through, being totally overwhelmed and not sure how to write anything. We started the course with Miss Merritt and by being able to watch the videos is now able to look at a question and know where to start, what to do and how to approach it in the best way. Everything that has been given from Miss Merritt has been professional and to a high standard, as well as very motivating and inspiring. She was an instant hit with my daughter who found her so kind and non-judgemental which is important for a teen.

Online videos: these have been very comprehensive, easy to follow and with 'just right' challenges set. We have been able to pause, replay, take our time to complete as needed and been able to fit them in around various other commitments. Miss Merritt just makes things sound more manageable and is always very positive in her language and enthusiastic that it makes completing English questions seem actually achievable.

Feedback: Miss Merritt sends a personalised video back to my daughter each week; this means she can follow along with the marking and understand what has gone well and how she could improve further. This has been amazing. So much better than just notes written in green or red but actual 'live' comments which resonates so much more.

I genuinely have been very grateful and feel very lucky we found Miss Merritt, she really wants to make her students excel and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to others. Thank you for everything.
