AVOID!!!!

Would have usually left a good review however, my car went to mister matic back in October / november 2024 for quite a lot of work, rear subframe and few other bits, to which the rear of the car had to come apart. I went back to pay on the 19th of December 2024 to which an additional £300 was added onto my bill for lower arms (i had not been contacted to be told about the issue or whether it was OK to carry out the additional work although it went there first for a quote on everything that needed to be done)

Fast track to now, i have just put my 3rd set of tyres on my car as no alignment had been done on the back end when it was put back together, i have since been in touch and I was told they don't have facilities for doing any form of alignment and as my car didn't have an in date MOT they couldn't take it down the road to the garage they would use (which baffles me as they charge £80 per hour + vat and don't have these facilites)

I had a phone call from the owner to see if we could resolve this issue, bare in mind I had spent just short of £2500 to sort the sub frame (which turned out to be a second hand part and confirmed by the MOT tester the day after I picked it up)

His mechanic (sean) told him that he made me aware of the alignment problem when I came to pick the car up, however I only dealt with a lady behind the counter to take payment and collect the car. The owner then proceeded to go on about the garage that fitted the first and second set of tyres, one of which is the garage that he uses for alignment should have picked up on it and made me aware but it was only booked it for tyres each time. The first set i had budgets fitted as I had just spent out a bulk of money but just put them on for the sake of the MOT and the second set I put down to it being cheap rubber on the first set but when I noticed the second set wearing down quick I then went to a friend's garage for him to check the alignment. He told me it was way out (which it was after I put the 3rd set on after booking in for 4 wheel alignment) i was also told the car went back together exactly the same as it came off, which is insane considering what comes off to get to the subframe and I wasn't changing tyres every 3-4 weeks before hand.

Now if I had initially dealt with the mechanic when I paid my bill and I had missed what was said then I would have taken it as a problem of my own however, I never spoke to the mechanic which then shows me the mechanic is telling the owner he told me to cover his back. A simple error of not being told it needed alignment has turned into about £700 in tyres and alignment. The car had been booked in for its MOT and tyres as soon as I left mister matic so I would have definitely booked the alignment when I booked tyres and MOT as that conversation would have been fresh in my mind that it needed doing.

I will avoid using these again!
I asked for a little bit of financial compensation as I believe the garage was liable for this issue and also being asked by the owner what I wanted from it (the only thing would be financial compensation) to which i was shut down and told and I quote 'absolutely not'.

Wouldn't cover £150 which was half of the recent bill for tyres and the alignment.

MisterMac - a star

I thought I would have no problem in transferring data from my old iMac to my new one. But I soon encountered problems which I couldn't solve. On contacting Andy, he came around the following day and not only solved the problems but also spent time in explaining what the problems were.
In summing up: he was prompt, efficient and was more than happy to advise and share his knowledge. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

Mister Mac Review

Very knowledgeable, professional, and patient when helping with technology issues. No question is too daft and any jargon is always explained clearly. Would happily recommend, no matter how small the issue.
