Account for crypto business

I'm a bit surprised with reviews as I saw them only after opening an account.
But first contact with sale team was good with fast replies.
Maybe a little bit slower with all documents verifications but everyone was super polite and so far transactions goes smoothly.

Waiting for a response

Hello,
Mistertango seemed to be a great experience, but some time ago, they decided to close our company's account and asked for a bank address to which they can send the rest of funds. I have given the bank details. Mistertango account got closed, I have never received a SWIFT confirming the money transfer and have never received the money. Seems that Mistertango has just stolen 60 000 euros. We are a serious Monaco based company hoping to get a response at least here otherwise we will be obliged to start a procedure at the court of justice.

Longterm customer - Stay away!

Been with them since 2017. Used to be ok in the beginning. After the crypto expansion in late 2020, they got more greedy, less responsible to clients, to the extend of outright blackmailing.
I have been asked regularly to provide bank statements up to half year prior, income details, crypto wallet details, txns. Even if you provide everything, your account could be in limbo state for weeks, in the meantime you don't have access to your funds. After KYC process is finished, you get random transfers frozen, until you again provide details about transaction. KYC data is requested every year. My plan got changed couple of times, every time they are "surprised" that I'm using it for crypto related transactions. Yeah, what a surprise.
10 Eur monthly inactivity fee, one day you open your account and see - negative balance. You transfer the exact amount to cover the negative balance, just to see that half of the funds are missing, and they pretend you still owe them money.
This has to be brought to the attention of Lithuania authorities.

I receive emails asking for fees for a service I never used

I keep receiving emails asking for fees, I registered to mistertango personal account once and never used it. But now, they're asking I pay for fees. They don't even reply to my emails asking them to close this account I never used in the first place.

Received this email from Mistertango on march 1, 2022 :

"You have received a message with category Other:

Dear Client,

We would like to inform you that we will close your account and you don't need to pay any fees.

As for the fees, indeed, we have made some changes to our pricing policy, but please be assured that we have sent out emails to all the clients beforehand (at least 60 days before the scheduled change in accordance with the legal requirements of the Republic of Lithuania). Please, check your SPAM folder or contact your email service provider for assistance in case the information has not reached you. Clients have a right to decline the proposed change and close down their accounts within the time frame of the aforementioned 60 days without any additional fees, but they have to express this desire in writing. In case there is no response from the client, in accordance with the law, it is considered that the client consents with the proposed change.

Please also be noted that in case the client does not use the account and does not pay the fee for more than two months, we stop the provision of services to the client and do not charge the fee any longer. Very bad experience

This bask was a really, really bad experience.

They had their license suspended for years, they promise you something and they will change the conditions without any prior notice.

My account went from 0 to ten € per month and I can't even terminate the service without paying.

Absolutely to avoid.

This company is pure fraud

This company is pure fraud. They put you always in the term, that will always charge you per out and in transaction 10€. We wanted to switch to another term to use it for our DHL contract. They said they cannot do that due to KYC regulations. WHAT ? We send them huge stack of documents for the KYC and they sent us first 'Congrats, you passed our verfication' but now it's not possible, because probably they cannot charge us a very high fee for each transaction ?

I cannot recommend this company, stay away to save your funds.

Used to be ok , no its just smells of scam

Total joke sent money they received on Thursday, they asked for invoice had to send 3 times and chase them for 3 days until hey said they received it, then the ok the payment and say its in my account and it never showed, this is basically a scam in my book as how in the world there internal protocols must be 0 .
I would recommend to no one and Serra only do not use them if you are in any rush of getting paid or looking to pay anyone.

Dont open an account

Dont open an account. I have never used the service, now they claim me 60 Euro plus monthly fee until I cleared the claim. Cant even close account before I paid. Typical Balticum scammers.

Now ive made a policereport and also to Swedish Konsumentverket (customer agency). Suddenly Mistertango sent an email that they will close down my account and erase all claims. !!??

Suddenly got an email after opening an account over a year ago and now I owe them 60 EUR which I was unaware of and it was unprofessional for them to do that given there was no mention of those charges in the first place.

They randomly email you after 2 years…

They randomly email you after 2 years to charge 60 euros from the *monthly account subcription*, that you never knew about and never agreed to. I asked them to close my account but they didn't repond yet. I will contact the EU financial advisors to report this scam. DO NOT USE MISTERTANGO.

I have never used their services and I…

I have never used their services and I got an email today saying I will be charged 5 euro. This email has never came before. I downloaded the app and I was surprised to see that I owe 55 euro! Without any other notice.
I didn't even have the app installed
I have sent an email to close my account and i'm waiting.

Keep away! And don't sign up!!

3rd world country app

3rd world country app. When I tried to open an account it send me confirmation PIN and when I use this pin to confirm it shows me : wrong pin. So if your elementary functions already works so terrible then I don’t want see the rest of your company. I would give 0 stars if possible.

Was looking to open a crypto account offered under the PRICING tag on their website as RED plan

There is no sign-up process as such, only a form to submit which I did.

Got email from their robot offering me:

Not what I was looking for and also way too expensive. For the same costs you can open 3 real bank accounts with reputable banks, not just a Fintech as they are.

It followed 14 days of emails and and support tickets where I tried to explain them what I wanted. Was under the impression to talk to a robot, no answers to my questions. Interestingly enough they never asked for my ID or corporate documents (which I had gladly provided).

Then finally came an email saying:

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us acquire the necessary information in regards to open business account. We regret to inform you that after the check up of the submitted information, we made the decision not to open your business account and close the application.

Since they didn't ask for any documents at all my guess is that decision was only based on the money side. I didn't wanted to buy their mad expensive bank account plan.

Overall not recommended and a waste of time. Maybe I should be glad it never came to opening an account reading some comments about blocked/lost money other people posted here.

UPDATE after reading and researching other users comments re. payments blocked etc.: Looks like the story is true. Some sanctions imposed by their regulator, the Central Bank of Lithuania:

No answer after 8 days - 5100 euro not refunded

I opened an account and I sent my documents (passport, and proof of residence).

Then I funded the account with 5100 euro from another account in my name in another bank.

Mister tango blocked the payment and asked for tons of documents.
I sent them all the documents required and I am still waiting for their reply after 8 days.

I asked to send back the payment and they ignored my request too.

Don't send your money here.

When opening an account on Mistertango

When opening an account on Mistertango, their mobile application has repeatedly failed. I just gave up hope, then I got an e-mail that my account was opened. Before they started using the account, they made a monthly service bill. When I want to close the account, they want me to pay the bills first.

I understand the charge for the service, but I don't understand which service is charged monthly from an account that has never been used.

Also, I don't understand why my right to close the account was taken away. There is a hidden reason in this business. I call out to the authorities from here, please close my account at no charge, this is my legal right.

Never forget that all the contracts you have prepared are one-sided, as long as you see your customers as sheep to be plucked, your customers will label you as fraudulent. If you really want to make money, you can start by not losing your customers this way.

I IMMEDIATELY REQUEST MY ACCOUNT TO BE CLOSED UNCLAIMED AND WITHOUT REQUESTING ANY FEE.

NEVER USE THIS SCAM SERVICE

NEVER USE THIS SCAM OF A SERVICE
I created a business account a year while. Then they blocked withdrawals as they had their own regulatory issues, of course still kept on charging outrageous fees for nothing.
Now they threatened me with legal proceedings for debt to be collected from me while I was never able to withdraw the funds originally committed to account.
It’s a real pain and at best a joke

AVOID, INSULTING CUSTOMER SERVICE, CASH LOCKED FOR MONTHS DUE TO COMPANY NOT COMPLYING WITH MONEY LAUNDERING REGS

Incredibly poor, my funds were locked up several months whilst this bank was investigated and fined €245k for not complying with money laundering regulations (search for mistertango money laundering to find reports about this)

Eventually I managed to remove my funds now they are chasing for monthly account fees that were only put in place after removed my funds and account is dorment (also still not stated on website)

Customer service is non-existant/insulting, please do yourself a favor and AVOID MISTERTANGO!
