We’re sorry to hear that the final order didn’t fully match the sample in terms of paper. From what we can see, this may fall within normal manufacturing variance, but we’d definitely like to take a closer look if something doesn’t seem right.

Hi Mark, It’s great to hear you were happy with the overall quality and suppor, that really means a lot
In terms of the cover, yes, most likely what you’re noticing is actually is due to the lamination
Laminations (especially matte or soft-touch finishes) can slightly deepen or mute colours, which can make them appear darker than expected. On top of that, covers are printed on thicker stock and sometimes on a different press than the inner pages, so even when the same image is used, subtle differences in colour can occur.
That said, if the shift feels more noticeable than what you’d expect from those factors alone, we’d definitely be happy to take a closer look for you. The best next step would be to follow the advice in the review invite (email the one this review is linked to) and report this through your order and include a few photos of the cover and inner pages. From there, we can check everything properly and offer more tailored advice.
For future orders, a couple of helpful tips:
Slightly brighten or lighten your cover artwork to account for lamination.
Request or order a sample with the same finish if you’re trying something new.
Keep in mind that covers and inner pages may not match exactly due to materials and printing methods

Thanks so much for your feedback, we really appreciate you taking the time to share this.
With multiple sheets folded together, it’s quite normal for them not to sit completely flat, especially when using uncoated paper. As this type of paper can’t be laminated for added structure and protection, we’re sometimes a bit more limited in how much pressure we can apply during the folding and binding process.
One thing that can really help is placing an even weight on the booklets for a little while, this can encourage the creases to settle and help them sit flatter over time. Gently applying a bit of pressure along the fold line can also make a difference.
For future projects, you might also consider a slightly thinner paper stock, as this tends to fold more easily and lie flatter when multiple pages are involved.
