Our Mobilae stairlift was fitted on 17th December 2021 ready for my mother's arrival in April 2022. All the contact with the company to this stage was excellent.
However the stairlift has been out of action for as long as it has been working since then.
We have paid thousands of euros and have a 5 year guarantee?
The engineers visits because of problems and / or not working sometimes for weeks, were 27th April 22, 8th June 22, 11th August 22, 19 October 22,and on the 7th December whilst fixing it we also had the annual check ..which Mobilae say in their brochure helps to prevent further problems !! the week before christmas the stairlift stopped again, we waited as usual for a rdv date hoping we may have priority due to christmas......we were told the week after christmas due to a shortage of engineers, that it would not be until the next week, they finally came on the 10th January 2023!!!
My mother was stuck in her bedroom for all of this time.
On 10th January the engineer said we needed new motors and to be safe would order all 4 of them, 15 days maximum delivery!!!!?
We keep phoning, emailing and they do not have spare motors in stock and the makers do not have any in stock. Very unbelievable, dissappointing, no empathy or apologies to the customers relayed from the answer service.
The engineers are very polite and do their best, they travel 3 hours to get to us, but they do not carry spare pieces ?? Mobilae advertise 24/7 helpline but this does not exist at weekends, most of our breakdowns have been at weekends despite leaving messages they never contact us we have to ring again monday morning to report the problem?
We have asked for someone in authority to visit us, this was declined because of distance,we have asked for a replacement chair , no answer, we have now asked for them to take the stairlift away and for a full reimboursement, as we need a reliable stairlift,needless to say they have not answered so is legal action the next step?what can we do? Mobilae please respond?
It is now March 9 2023, we are still waiting ( since December) for our stairlift to be fixed!!!!!
They say their supplier has a stock problem?
All we would like to know is how long? they must have some idea, but do not want to say? when we call mobilae the person to speak to is never available for the phone and we are told we must write an email, posting on here is the only way they respond , its disgusting they have also told us a refund is not possible?
