It’s an amazing company and card but I was trying to get a new card and it was kinda slow response but my helper was nice so it’s okay

In general

In general, I love this app. We use it for chores mostly- It’s definitely teaching my kids responsibility, the value of a dollar, & gives them a sense of pride when they’re able to spend their money at the store with their own card.

There are a couple of things that I think wound would make the app better:

1. When the kids submit their chore, in order to add the photo they have to take it on the regular camera app and then go back into the Modak app and select it from their photos. It would make it a lot easier if they had an option to take a photo within the app instead of having to flip back-and-forth between apps.

2. It would also be helpful if you could list more than one parent or guardian- As we have split households, it would be nice if the second parent was also able to log on while the kids were at their house. As of now, both parents would have to use the same login information and since my bank account information is on my login I do not feel comfortable sharing it with the other parent.

It’s a great app

It’s a great app. I can manage my kids spending all while teaching them how to be smart with the money. Only thing I would say should be an option at least for the parents is for the card to have an ATM option so we can withdraw cash if needed or be able to transfer the money back to the parents card so that way we don’t have to wait for a check when we or if we close the account for whatever reason.

Waste of Time and Energy

Like so many others have said, I have had nothing but issues since I signed my boys up for an account. First there was the having to try several different payment forms to find one that they would accept to fund my kids accounts, finally of course it was one that required fees to transfer money. Then there is the fact the cards take a really long time to arrive. Between when I set up these accounts (mid-March) and the time of this review, I was able to order and receive my teens cards from another company that only issues cards to 13 and older, and get a replacement debit card for my fiancee. And even before my boys cards arrived our accounts were blocked for "suspicious activity" and I had to submit a bunch of stuff regarding the card used to fund the kids accounts. Then let's not forget that right after the accounts were blocked my app access was restricted. The only reason I am giving them a 2 star rating instead of a 1 star is because customer service has been at least a little helpful. Truth be told as soon as our accounts are unblocked, I'm taking the kids cards to an ATM or somewhere they can get cash back and I am withdrawing their money and closing the accounts.

So far I have had a awesome experience with Modak, had a issue with my money posting on my account and they got right on it and fixed the issue. When ever I had a question concerning my kids cards they had the answer...thanks Modak
