I have had a guitar in my hand for many years but never could get past intermediate. I could learn songs and even solos. While that does help with hand syncing and teaching various techniques that are used, it never gave me the ability to play freely or use those techniques at will. It didn't help me to write my own RIFF's. Also, being a weekend warrior didn't help. I have tried many courses, and they just teach like its learning a song. Here are the notes, play it. Start slow and increase speed. Seeing Lukas videos about give me 18 mins and I will fix your guitar technique, and the speed building exercises told me this course might be different. IT IS! It has everything from basic techniques to VERY advanced and lets you go at your own pace WITH support. The best part is it has you apply the lessons not just learn them. It cleans up your bad habits and takes you further. If you don't have bad habits, then you should get through those lessons and action items fast. (I realized I had more than I thought lol). You have to put in the work, that is all and it will work for you.

The community is excellent, and the support is top-notch. The learning path is clear and, most importantly, effective.

This course is proving to be excellent and exceeding my expectations, which were already high having seen some of Lukas demonstration videos previously! The course is split into logical sections, each with several lessons and action items. Progressing through these maintains motivation, as does online interaction with the other guitarists in the community. Specific goals of each guitarist are also catered for in additional 30 day plans. I signed up about 3 weeks ago and already notice more precision in my playing.

I really enjoy the progressive lesson structure. Finish a lesson, get a review and move on to the next. The feedback from the community is very helpful in pointing out my faults/shortcomings. I'm enjoying the journey and look forward to moving on with this course.

The course is everything you need to become a great guitar player! It's all well structured and split into sections you can tackle with a few minutes of commitment a day. I'm only 3 weeks into the course and it's already changed my playing substantially, in a way that's notorious to others. I play 2 bands, and everyone had something to say about my playing in the last rehearsals, it's noticeable. I feel more confident with playing and finding the right notes now than I've ever been and I continue to learn new stuff in the course everyday. I have been playing for about 30 years now and I'm finally breaking some of the old habits that were holding me back.

After 20 years of being stuck I found Lukas on Youtube and Instagram and he reached out telling me about Modern Guitar Course. I was at an all time emotional low with the guitar so I decided to take a chance and I am so happy that I did. Lukas, the community and this course have done more for my playing than I could've ever dreamed and I can't thank them enough. If you're unhappy with your playing, but even more than that, if you want to love playing the guitar again then I highly recommend Modern Guitar Course.

The overall enthusiasm of the teachers is so great it transferred over to me and got me to another level of excitement. They are great guys and are always open to help, even when I got an injury on my fretting hand they gave me some tips to keep playing and doing different excercises. I'm really grateful for this course.

I spent over a decade thinking I could skate by on the limited music knowledge I had. After about 2 months, I’ve seen a good jump in my technical abilities. The course is very encouraging and 100% will increase your skill as long as you stay consistent. The instructors, as well as the community, are very good at providing feedback and correction when needed. This program will hold you accountable so you can make the progress you need. Lessons were crafted to keep you interested and in a proper practice routine.

An absolute great experience. I have done many guitar improvement courses but this one is the best as the leaders not only give you assignments but check in to see how you're doing. I love this course and would recommend to anyone looking to improve their skills on guitar.

I have been going through Modern Guitar Course for about 3 weeks. One thing I must say as a guitar player for over 15 years is that you get complacent and reach a certain plateau within your comfort level. I must say that this course has put me to the test and brought me out of my comfort zone taking my guitar playing to another level after 15 years of playing. This guitar course is so dynamic that it helps experienced players as well as beginners take their guitar playing to the next level. I can honestly say I wish I would have done this years ago. I recommend this to everyone who strives to be a better guitarist!

This was the best experience I've ever had with guitar and it is a lifetime. The course has a very organized curriculum and an amazing community. I'm able to track my progress and set new goals. I highly recommend this course

I have seen alot of progress and the structure of the course is fitting. it feels inviting and useful. I can't wait to see what's next to come

I have scheduled a meeting and got to speak to Sebastian, who was very nice and helpfull. He didnt try to sell me the program just for making a sale. Rather, he tried to understand where Im at and what I want, to then point me in the right direction for the pretty peculiar issues I have in my own advanced guitar playing. And so, eventhough, I can not attest to the course itself. I can confidently say that I received very professional advice from someone who clearly knows his s**t when it comes to guitar playing and theory. I recomment checking them out and talking to them, to see if they can help you. The fail case is speaking to (at least in Sebastians case) a very considered and genuine person, that's trying to see if their course will get you where you wanna be and otherwise point to material you could look into to become a better guitarist, which i think is just awesome. A tip on the hat with my horns to ya! :-)

The Modern Guitar Course has been the perfect avenue for me to fall back in love with the guitar. Not only is it paced in such a way that taps into your potential and challenges you constantly, but it forces accountability through regular check-ins and involvement with a very active community of guitar lovers. My biggest issue with the guitar was not knowing how to practice in a way that addressed my mistakes and kept my skill evolving constantly--this course fixed this issue for me wonderfully. If you are looking for a guitar course to help you play the music you love to hear, understand music theory, and boost your shredding skills overall, this is the course for you.

I'm already 3 weeks in this course and it's very useful. No matter how advanced you are on guitar there's a lot of useful knowledge you can get from Modern Guitar Course. It's a really good guitar course for intermidate/semi-advanced players who want to push themselves a little bit more and have a "daily practice regime". Just check it out yourself!

A few years ago, after a break lasting eight years, I picked up the guitar again and I was back to having a blast. I noticed that I wanted a guiding hand, to coach me and to offer structure.

There is plenty of stuff to be found on the internet, among those delivered by MGC: Youtube tutorials, free introduction lessons, and most of these can be really helpful. However, all of these things are hard to navigate through when you're still figuring out how you want to express yourself musically.

But this is truly one of the things that makes MGC worth your investment if you're serious about becoming skilled at playing the electric guitar and willing to practice, preferably every day: it sets a clear path that is tough but manageable to grasp for intermediate players, and still worthwhile for advanced players. Complex concepts and techniques are thoroughly explained and made accessible, even when they're new to you. The course covers everything you need to understand and control your instrument, with one (rather obvious) sidenote: this course heavily emphasizes playing metal- you may wanna look elsewhere if you prefer playing other genres. Given MGC's social media content, that goes without saying, right?

As for the personal coaching: Lukas and his team have a warm, approachable and very constructive attitude. The same goes for the community. After all, everyone is part of this for the same reason and everyone is similarly invested.

Now, there are plenty of 'guitar gurus' out there who offer similar things, and I have no doubt that they also offer amazing lesson packages. This one just happened to appeal the most to me at the time and I have no regrets; so far it is absolutely worth every penny.

I'm only about 3 weeks into the course. So far I've seen improvements in my speed and accuracy, hand synchronization, and picking hand control. I like how the exercises are very musical sounding, instead of just playing scales and arpegios up and down. I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store for the rest of the course.
