I recently purchased shy over 1k worth

Edit: responding to message.
Clearly not what happened! Did not explain the follow up from the initial email I sent, not the second email, but until I said I was going to dispute the charge! How coincidental! Each email response I received stated they will follow up with the artist. So, one of two things happened, your employee or you, 1) did not send the follow up, or 2) your employee or you sent the email, never followed up and your artist didn’t care to follow up as well!

To everyone, you can clearly see the responses they give! Thank you to ModernTribe for displaying your business policy working terms and conditions. We’ll charge you immediately but you’ll eventually get your things, possibly, but we’ll follow up, perhaps.

- I recently purchased shy over 1k worth, and never again! This is just the beginning to let people know not to shop here! I tried to settle this through emails but they just want your money. They do not care about you or your items because the artist are scattered across country and their payment hub is centralized! Purchased my items on the 13 Feb, did my due diligence by following up, only to receive a response that they will contact the artist. This happened 3 times, (now March 5) until I stated if one of the items that has not been shipped, I will submit a dispute with my CC. All of a sudden, my item was miraculously shipped the very same day, March 5, and received an update March 6 stating the item has shipped so if I didn’t want it anymore to return it for full refund, arrived Monday, March 9. I am extremely thankful I did not learn this work ethic in my 21yrs of service! Not saying everyone is going to have this experience, but be wary cause I am never doing this again! By the way, I have the screen shot of when purchased, label created, and when it was shipped! Customer service should be changed to Employee and Family Support Services and Full Refunds!

Hi Raul, thank you for your order and I sorry you were not satisfied with your experience with us! Most of our items come from our Ohio warehouse, but some items come directly from the artist, as noted in the description. I see the majority of your order shipped on time, but one item was delayed. According to the artist, this was an oversight on their end, they believed the order had already been shipped and marked it as shipped, so we were not aware they hadn't shipped it. Once she realized it hadn’t gone out she sent it out immediately, but I agree this is not acceptable and I am sorry for the delay. I hope you enjoy your items. Chag sameach! All the best, Amy

Terrible Customer Service

Really awful customer service experience. I had ordered a necklace from Modern Tribe and it came with a knot in the chain. I emailed them with screenshots of the knot, asking about resolving this and they just told me they would contact the artist and get back to me. That was 3 weeks ago. I emailed again today for an update. I am so frustrated that I have initiated a return through their website, but even that is a terrible experience. Rather than just generating a return label, the system is making me wait until Modern Tribe reviews my return request. Meanwhile, I am stuck with an expensive, defective necklace.

I will not be buying from them again. It’s a real shame because they have the best selection of modern Judaica I’ve seen. But it just isn’t worth the risk.

Hi Alan,
I am so sorry you had this experience! I assure you, this is not the norm for us. When an item is reported damaged, we don't automatically send a return label as often we don't need the item back if it is beyond repair. I will check on the status of your return and see if we can get a new chain sent out to you ASAP.

All the best,
Amy
