I think this is a great bike. We bought it to get from one camp site to another. However, The batteries do not go as far as was advertised. Which is normal with most anything. Unless you are on flat paved ground. Which we never are, we like dirt and trails The obsidian is great for trail riding. So we bought an extra battery for both of our bikes.

Bought the Basalt and love it. It is pretty rugged and quite fast. So far, no problems after 100 miles on it.

I am 5' 11" and I am in the middle of the medium and large size. I bought the large and would recommend the medium for my size.

We bought the Basalt ST and Obsidian ST. The Basalt fits my wife great at 5'4" and the Obsidian fits me at 6'5". We bought the accessory box as well and that was well worth the items in it. The Bag for the rear rack is great and keeps everything needed for biking anywhere. The mirrors are a great help and the hydraulic seats are a game changer for me @ 300 lbs. The only issue is the battery has only gotten us to 40 miles total. I'm sure this is dependent on weight and settings for peddle assist so not huge as the 40 miles was tiring. The bike rides great, they handle great and I would recommend them to anyone looking to enjoy bike riding again. If you are going to use these for camping and carry on your travel trailer, make sure to check bumper weight restrictions as the bikes and rack we bought exceed the recommended 200 lbs for the bumper. We put them in the back of the truck which is a chore because they weigh about 70 lbs without the battery.

Absolutely no shipping damage, was very easy to assemble, and the obsidian is a quality built ebike. It's fun to ride. No problems with the bike. The suspension really takes the bumps well. A great ebike all around.

I have 2 Mokwheel Bikes that I ordered directly from Mokwheel. The Basalt ST 2.0 and the Slate. Both bikes are great and I am loving both of them. They are both very solid bikes and ride GREAT! I chose this brand because there was a bike shop near me that showed up on your locator for bike shops or vendors that sold Mokwheel, so it was good to know that I would have someone not too far away to work on the bikes if anything were to go wrong, that I couldn't fix myself. So far things have been going smoothly and nothing has needed repair. I hope things continue to be that way. I have shared your brand with other people because of my experience with the bike. Fast shipping, bikes were well protected , easy to put together, they gave extra parts and tools needed to put bikes together, bikes seem high quality. Wish I saw the part to add another battery for 199. Although battery last a long time it would be nice to have an extra battery at the discounted price. Wish odometer would keep track of total miles after I reset for each ride. Purchased Tor plus and Mesa ST Plus

Ordered a handlebar spacer ring set, they never sent it but charged me anyway. (Ironically, an additional $10 shipping fee) total waste of money.
EDIT: Rating updated. Is now showing up on fedex tracking. "No tracking information available" is what was showing even several days after tracking number was sent, so pretty sure it was a fedex issue, not Mokwheel"

It's a solid bike, goes a long distance and easy to use.

I bought the bike for the range of 60-80 miles but with using it for three month i get about 35 miles per charge. very disappointing....i use peddle assist 1 and i get such poor mileage....I communicated with Mok about getting another battery for 199 but they want to charge me all most 600 for a spare battier....not good business.... you do have range 60-80 miles ...not 30 - 80 miles. had i know this was the real range i wolud have NEVER bought the small range bike....

Unfortunately, my bike randomly stopped working entirely, wouldn't even turn on. However, after contacting customer support they immediately shipped out all the necessary replacement parts and I got my bike back up and running. They didn't waste any time they got right to the issue at hand and took care of me. Fantastic customer service!

I was not compensated for this review. After logging over 700 miles on my Mokwheel bike, I can confidently say it delivers excellent performance. The pedal assist features makes commuting and daily rides smooth and enjoyable. The battery holds a strong charge. Customer service was prompt and efficient when I needed a rear view mirror replacement. While the frame is a bit heavy, the bike’s overall quality, reliability, and comfort make it a standout choice. I highly recommend it.

Been waiting since June 2 (is now August 11) for a replacement display. Bike is inoperable and the company apparently has no control over the availability of parts.

Had a repair issue on one of our Slate E bikes. A brake handle failed causing the bike to sense the brakes were on. Mokwheel support worked with me to troubleshoot the issue. Took a couple try's to get the correct part but I was up and biking again in a short time.

I received my new MOKWHEEL Asphalt ST in July 2025 and here are my thoughts after the first 100 miles. At 5’11’’ and 175 lbs. the stylish Asphalt is a great fitting geometry for me. It comes equipped with reliable brand components good for DIYers when it comes to normal wear and tear maintenance. Knock-on-wood it’s hard to find anything at this point that I don’t like about the Asphalt. Not essential but turn signals are the only over-the-top addition I can think of. The ride is quite comfortable and I personally like the palm-style end handle grips which aids hand fatigue. As a motor biker I found the Asphalt easy to maneuver and especially like the feel and smooth performance of the torque sensor. Power delivery exceeded what I would have expected for 500 watts and got the job done without sweat on very steep streets. The tire size coupled with the front shocks provides good stability and traction when departing off asphalt.
Unfortunate but it can happen with anything. I had an issue with one part on the Asphalt out-of-the-box. Customer Service and Technical Support acted promptly and timely sent me a replacement part. This action is well-worth noting and comforting with their two year warranty.

Absolutely been phenomenal since initial purchase. Had issue with one of the displays and they replaced it with no hassle . Bikes are Absolutely just like tanks.

My husband and I both bought the camo Obsidian bike. These things are a beast, Not to mention very bad azz looking. It will take you through and over terrain you never thought it could handle. The suspension for the seat and the bike in general is amazing. You will barely feel 2" limbs and rocks. We are in our late 60s and it gave us the confidence to ride through deep ditches and off road. You will not regret owning one of these bikes.

First off Mokwheel pays for reviews. Better hope you don’t have an issue that needs help from customer service. It’s managed by a person named Ellerbee. He tells you he will do stuff to correct the problem then you never hear from him. If you do hear from him or her they have decided that it’s too costly to fix the mistake or he has decided you caused the problem. There doesn’t seem to be anyone to discuss your issues with. My brand new Osibian has had multiple problems and these people just laughed me off and said there was nothing I could do about it.
Buyer beware.

We bought two e-bikes after researching several independent reviews and went with Mokwheel. We couldn’t be happier. The bikes were delivered quickly and were easy to assemble and have worked great. We ride both in the desert and on roads and these are perfect. Unfortunately one of the bikes arrived with a small pinhole in the rear inner tube and customer service was easy to reach by phone and sent a replacement tube right away. I would recommend Mokwheel to anyone looking to buy a solidly built e-bike.
