Misleading and not delivering on promises
We are huge photo booth lovers! so when we decided to finally go ahead with our postponed, cancelled, reschedule saga Covid wedding party, we could not imagine to have it without one! With all stress related to organisation of such party in pandemic, the booth was meant to be a little treat for us!
Unfortunately, Momentous was everything but that! As it turned out, they were misleading us right from the beginning, totally fraudulently provided incorrect information and cashed in without delivering pretty much on any of their promises. Their website was full of false claims.
The biggest lie was related to props being included. We were very conscious that many booths stopped doing props because of pandemic, so we called them a couple of times to double and triple check that they do include them (especially, as we had another offer of booth with paper props). They lied to us that they were included. As it turned out on the day (after they've taken our cash), that there are no props! We only got to know it when we were about to take our very first photo!!!! Totally ruined our excitement about it! I would go further- for me, they totally ruined the party!
Personalised logo is also advertised on the website- we didn't get it, because apparently you have to DELIBERATELY ASK for it!
Booth- turned up to the venue BROKEN, which then crashed with the programme of the day- guest were in a booth when the cake was coming out... guest were eating cake and booth was standing there empty... despite us obviously paying for the service!
Staff- the operator was rather rude and aggressive to us when we asked for props. He accused us of not reading T&Cs (we are both in jobs where we do a lot of that!), and the fact that there are no props was communicated! guess what- IT WASNT! We never got a contract, nothing on email! When we tried to use little bits from the venue, the operator categorically did not agree to it! WHATS THE POINT OF A BOOTH WITHOUT PROPS!?
Additionally, the whole picture gallery was shared with us (only because we asked!) for literally 3 days! No consideration at all of those who might not be able to download pictures in such short period of time!?
Totally and utterly shambolic service and overall experience!
As they took cash on a day, no recept was provided, no invoice, no evidence of any of that! We never received sufficient compensation. Kam offered us £50, but after we complained he never actually refunded any of it.
From something that was meant to bring us so much joy and fun memories forever, we were left with this bitter disappointment every time when we look at the photos!
