Reviving an old CO2 laser machine

I purchased a second-hand CO2 laser cutter that was operating with an older Moshi controller. After struggling to achieve good results for a couple of weeks, I ordered a Nano V2 controller as a last resort to revive the machine.

Although the initial replacement instructions I found did not exactly match my module, I contacted the support team, and within a day, I received a clear wiring diagram and specific instructions on how to rewire my machine.

I followed the instructions and am extremely happy with the outcome. The machine has been operating beautifully since the upgrade. LightBurn has made the entire process much easier and more reliable compared to the old software, which frequently experienced lockups.

Good communication, fast response

Great communication with the order and shipping customer support. The laser I ordered ended up being out of stock, Monport reached out and was able to quickly resolve the problem. Would do business again.

Monport support is beyond great

Monport support is beyond great. I had some issues with my Monport Onyx and they would respond the next day in my email. You don't normally see that. After a length back and forth response in email, they came through and replaced the defective unit quickly. I have nothing but good comments about the customer service. By the way the problems I was having with the original laser in my opinion with not the fault of Monport. I firmly believe that the problems that occurred with the laser was from shipping. The edge of the shipping container had be damaged.
Monport customer support is top notch , at least from my experience.

The MP support team was great

The MP support team was great! My laser went out and the team walked me through how to check each area to see if it was bad with step by step instructions. It came down to being a bad power supply. Then sent me a new one, which was unfortunately backordered, so it took a couple weeks, but I finally got it and installed it and it’s fixed.

Monport RENO 65W is a great machine

Monport RENO 65W is a great machine. It arrived in a few days, was very easy to setup and get running. The alignment of the laser and mechanisms was next to perfect.
Found Lightburn very easy to use and the resultant cuts and engraving perfect for what I am doing.
Absolutely love the system of setting the focus, so easy and perfect every time.
Would recommend this machine to anyone scaling up from a 300x 300 unit, the 600 x 400mm bed is great for those larger projects and the 655W CO2 laser is very effective in cutting acrylic and wood.

Great custom support

We had a warranty issue which can happen with any brand. The thing that separates good from bad businesses in my opinion is customer service. The Monport team was fantatic in this regard. They were very prompt in replying to emails to troubleshoot the issue first and then once the problem was confirmed they sent replacement part quickly.

Definitely recommend.

Excellent customer service!

Amazing Customer Service

I ordered my Monport Reno 45 Pro laser machine about a month ago. There were several things which were confusing and unclear to me. I must have emailed the CS team about a dozen times. Each time I had a response usually in about a day sometimes within hours. Where other laser companies i have dealt with take several days if not longer. I gotta say MonPort is just amazing in responding back to the consumer. Post purchase, I still have sent a few emails with questions and they dont dissapoint in responding in a timely manner. This is just fantastic and the way Customer Service should be. My machine is up and running and I couldn't be happier with my initial laser experience. Please keep it up. Heres to much happy and successful laser engraving. Thank you MonPort.

Works on older K40 laser

I had an older K40 laser that I upgraded with the Nano PCB. Well my laser was so old that some of the electrical connections didn’t quite match to the instruction sheet. So I reached out to the Monport support group and got better details/clarification and when I had a specific electrical diagram question they put me in touch with an electrical engineer. After all of that the install ended up being straightforward I was just being overall cautious to not blow up my laser power supply. Thanks again Monport Support Team!

I love this Mega CO2

I love this Mega CO2. The price you pay is a bit of a premium for the brand and for someone just looking to unbox and start using,this is worth the price. For me, I have no doubt this will be a great laser machine for years to come.
