Mix up in ordering prescription. I was charged an extra £9 for postage.

My first experience with Alternaleaf and Montu has been outstanding.

I was told that receiving my first prescription would usually take up to three days to process. However, I gave them a call on the first day and spoke to Alfie. His professionalism, patience, and customer service over the phone were exceptional. I explained that I would really appreciate it if my prescription could be made available to order as soon as possible.

Thanks to Alfie's help, later that same day I received an email allowing me to pay for my prescription for delivery. He clearly went above and beyond to help, and it made a huge difference to my experience as a new patient. Credit where it's due—Alfie is a real asset to the company, and I hope his management recognises the excellent service he provides.

I'm now fully legal, and I won't be looking back. A huge thank you to Alfie, Alternaleaf, and Montu for making the whole process smooth, quick, and stress-free.

One suggestion I'd love to see in the future would be a monthly Montu membership or subscription that gives patients access to additional discounts. If the savings made legal medical cannabis even more affordable, I think it would encourage many more people with qualifying medical conditions or injuries to move away from the black market and choose the safe, legal route through Alternaleaf and Montu instead.

Since becoming a patient, I've already spoken to quite a few people who use cannabis to manage genuine medical conditions, and almost every one of them had no idea just how straightforward the legal medical cannabis process actually is. Many had been put off before they even started because they assumed it would involve endless paperwork, chasing medical records, complicated applications, or simply because their conditions make those sorts of tasks difficult.

The reality is that many qualifying conditions—whether physical or related to mental health—can make concentration, organisation, and following through with appointments incredibly challenging. Something that seems simple to one person can feel overwhelming to someone living with chronic pain, anxiety, ADHD, depression, or other long-term conditions.

Having someone within the local community who can raise awareness, answer questions from personal experience, reassure prospective patients, and even help guide them through the application process could make a real difference. Whether that's reminding them about appointments, helping them understand what's required, or simply giving them the confidence to book that first consultation, I genuinely believe more people would access the treatment they're legally entitled to.

Who knows—you might even gain a few extra patients in Scotland while you're at it! Jokes aside, I think increasing awareness through people with lived experience could be incredibly valuable, and I'd be more than happy to help spread the word.

Montu, they certainly have the best selection & personally best grade of flowers products available, although subject to prescription and some grades are limited as not open to new requests. If only samples of different varieties can be purchased to trail along with normal prescription would be huge advantage i.e 0.2g sample. As some good products are limited to no new prescriptions and then need to search for equivalent product.

So far the Drs recommendations have been good & cannot fault Montu. Great communication, they went the extra mile when I called regarding a timeline query and were able to get my prescription delivered 1st class special delivery as standard! Cannot get any better! Just the last conversation with the Dr. He didn't give me a choice as all he said was the drops would be best, as taken sublingually they would have a quicker effect and could he contact my consultant rheumatologist as I am on autoimmune injections

I’m very happy so far with the service I’ve received. I can only assume that it will continue throughout my period of recovery so far I have received one prescription and the therapy is working. I’m very happy I would recommend Montu to anyone who needs it. The products they dispense are of a high quality.
It does take it a little more than a month to go through all the consultation and the processes but once everything is set up, it is very quick. I made my first prescription on Saturday and it was delivered the next day on Sunday by Royal Mail which I was rather impressed. I would assume it would arrive on Monday. Maybe I was one of the lucky ones but it was a very good service. I have since been in communication with the Support team and the communication was very good and quick and my question was answered.
