5 Star Experience from start to finish

I’ve purchased a few items from Moorgate and although not local I have found them to be accurate at describing used equipment and fast at dispatch. I’ve had some very helpful advice along the way and never a hard sell-in fact they could have sold more but were generous in their assessment. I’ve not had a need to test their guarantees but have no reason to expect it won’t be top notch. They are now my first port of call.

Best customer service in the industry

Best customer service in the industry, have bought my whole system from them and have never had anything other than exemplary service and support, I’ve also never felt pressured to purchase anything or felt like I couldn’t ask a stupid question!

Have been a customer of Moorgate for more than 10 years. Paul and his team are very helpful and friendly. I've bought equipment for myself and my daughters, have part exchanged and bought new. Every experience has been a delight. I love visiting the shop whenever I can, some amazing equipment and incredible advice!

Great advice, great service

I’ve used Moorgate for many years and the team are always very helpful and knowledgeable without being pushy. I do not live nearby but through good experiences I have total trust. Paul advised me that a power supply upgrade (to a Supercap) would greatly benefit my system. I purchased based on his recommendation and he was absolutely spot on. Raised it to another level.

Recently upgraded my turntable with one…

Recently upgraded my turntable with one of the fantastic Rega deals that Moorgate get in from the manufacturer. They gave me a more than reasonable price for my previous turntable and had fitted my cartridge of choice ready for pick up. Their knowledge of audio equipment, set ups, system matching, choices etc is second to non. I have been buying from these guys for many years and still have many pieces of audio gear that I have bought from them still giving sterling service today. Nothing is too much trouble for them and there is absolutely no pressure to buy. They will only let you buy when you are totally happy with what you are gettng. Why go anywhere else?

Family owned retailer who go out of their way to provide a 5 star service. I have purchased many items from Moorgate and will continue to do so. If only other retailers provided such good service.

Brilliant hifi shop

I bought a turntable online, but didn’t use it for 10months, I wasn’t as happy with it as I wanted to be. Paul wanted to make me happy with the product I’d purchased. I still wasn’t a 100% so , we found another product which I auditioned and was really happy with.
He gave me a full refund on the original item I’d purchased and I bought the alternative from him. I’m so glad I made the trip to Moorgate Acoustics, they are so knowledgable, honest and really want their customers to be happy with products they are purchasing.

Superb Service

Very friendly staff. Slick pickup and delivery service offered on my part-exchange amplifier.
Rega Elicit MK5 delivered overnight and is perfect.
Cannot rate the service and product I received highly enough.

Honest feedback for an outstanding company

I have been a Moorgate Acoustics customer for many decades right from their first shop in Rotherham when it was first opened right up to present day and have bought many quality products from them. My last purchase was a Rega turntable bought online a few weeks ago. I was informed of its progress and given a delivery date and time. It was very well packaged and delivered for free. Outstanding customer service and brilliant company

Bought a Naim 250 from them and found…

Bought a Naim 250 from them and found it to be electrically faulty which damaged my speakers. They strung me along over compensation until the time limit for eBay feedback was reached then today they said no. If you buy on eBay then don’t risk any equipment. Buy cheap backups to test eBay purchases or just avoid sellers like this or make a claim against them. Don’t forget to open a eBay investigation or to campaign against sellers like this one through social media.

Good service in the actual store

Service in the actual store was good when I visited last year, even though I'm not actually as happy with some of the products I bought as I expected I might be. Haven't used the web store, but as it's a small shop I suspect they may not have the service capability of a Richer Sounds.

Incompetent Part Time Webshop With Zero Communication AVOID

Maybe a decent bricks and mortar business but online is a different matter. Placed an order two weeks ago for a Drawmer pre amp payment taken without issue but no confirmation email from Moorgate themselves. I had to contact them via Facebook the next day, was told item out of stock (despite showing in stock on website) and would be sent middle of following week, requested email confirmation, but by end of following week had heard nothing so emailed cancelling order and requesting refund, still no response either by email or FB. Busy with work so no time to follow up then today get a text saying item will be delivered in the next hour WTAF. I emailed them again saying if the matter wasn't resolved quickly I would contact Paypal to which they immediately responded with a half hearted apology and saying they hadn't seen my email about cancelling the order, which i thought was very fishy. It boggles my mind that in 2022 a business selling online has such poor customer service and only deals with web orders two days a week (which is only stated in the FB messenger profile, I wonder why). The selective lack of communication makes me extremely suspicious of this terrible company, avoid at all costs.

So impressed with Moorgate Acoustics

I bought a preloved Rega turntable from Moorgate Acoustics which had a slight issue when I set it up. I contacted them and they were really helpful trying to sort it by giving advice remotely. As that didn't work I returned to the shop and they immediately set to diagnosing the fault and sorting it. They went far beyond the normal levels of service we get used to and I would wholeheartedly recommend them. They make a mean cuppa too. Suffice to say my turntable sounds fabulous and I am really happy with it.

Customer Service How It Should Be Done!!!

I'd forgotten what good old fashioned customer service was all about. Paul at Moorgate has been an absolute diamond to deal with, first when purchasing my Audiolab Omnia and then when I had a problem with it. Superb service, quick response times and all in a very courteous manner with a chunk of great Yorkshire humour thrown in for free. I won't buy any audio equipment from anywhere else now!

Amazing Customer Service

I have been using this company to purchase HI-FI this past year as I get back into the hobby... The products are of high quality, they are extremely helpful, and go above and beyond to give good advice, even when the advice is 'don't change what you have, try this tweak instead'. They answer FB messenger quickly, even out of hours, and always get back to you with what you need. I cannot rate this company high enough. ~Dan
