Without doubt the worse legal firm I have used in 40 years

Without doubt the worse legal firm I have used in 40 years. Only used as two lawyers were required and they were not fit to lace our lawery's shoes. Expensive and simply rude as well as inaccurate. Classic phrase was the the witness is married to your wife! Explain that away.

No response to emails

Sent email regarding an inheritance issue almost 3 weeks ago, sent a chaser email. No response. They do not appear to respond to emails, even to acknowledge receipt. Disappointing.

I needed help after a 12 year…

I needed help after a 12 year relationship breakdown and my ex partner sending me solicitors letters telling my daughter and I to vacate, what I believed to be, my forever home. A friend recommended I speak to MFMCR to get some advice as I believed my case was hopeless. Nikki and her team, based in Glasgow accompanied by Morag KC, were absolutely amazing. They were so professional and supportive and brought the case to a very satisfactory close. I would absolutely recommend the company especially if you feel you have nowhere to turn.

separation and divorce

I was experiencing a terrible separation with a very controlling man and could not have got through it without Fiona and Nikki.
They were always there and gave me honest, helpful and direct advice. They ensured that the case kept moving forward and I felt totally supported by them.
They were able to manage the divorce case and the children's case for residency and contact side by side.
Fiona has excellent knowledge of how to uncover hidden finances and get to the truth.
It has been a very difficult time in my life, however Fiona and Nikki listened to the worries and tears and did everything in their power to get me the best outcome.
I have already recommended them to a friend as I can't thank them enough for what they did for me and my children.

Wonderful Experience with Morton Fraser Glasgow Office

I had a great experience as a client of Morton Fraser and would thoroughly recommend the Family Law team at the Glasgow office without hesitation and would instruct them again in the future.
I worked with Fiona Sasan, Mark Pelosi, Nikki Hunter and Victoria Fenton. They kept me up to date throughout the process and I was consulted and advised fully before my instructions were taken based on their advice and the key steps were acted upon expeditiously. I knew that I was in the hands of experts in their field and this gave me total peace of mind at an extremely stressful time.
The team were also extremely flexible with respect to meetings, whether that be in the lovely meetings rooms or remotely at home when that was more convenient. Nothing was a trouble and I felt very much part of the process and that the individual members of the team were all very approachable and responsive. Many other members of the Glasgow team whom I did not get a chance to meet but were also working hard in the background e.g. finance and IT and front of office, were really helpful, welcoming and discreet. The small things even helped to relax during a nervous time, like being offered water, juice or coffee at an office visit.
From the moment of my first phone call to Fiona Sasan, I knew that if I was to go ahead with instructing her that I could not find someone with more expertise, experience and empathy. Mark Pelosi was another main point of contact and he was really outstanding in his grasp of the issue and communication in terms which were clear and understanable even with the many complex aspects of my case. Nikki Hunter was fantastic in action when I saw her appear remotely in a Court of Session hearing and Victoria Rention was very helpful in all aspects. Together they were an amazing team, which I would have given five stars to even had the case not been decided in my favour.
In the end I was thrilled with the outcome and I am forever grateful for the work I was aware of and that which I did not see which went on behnd the scenes. If anything came up out of office hours, I felt I could contact Fiona and Mark and if it was a more urgent matter they would get back to me really quickly. They also had office mobile numbers which was some comfort in the event that something was more pressing or I needed a supportive contact for court.
I could write much more but really it comes down to the fact that I was so happy with the customer service, client care and due dilience of the team that I will even miss interacting with them regularly with my instruction of them coming to a close.
You will not regret instructing the Family Law team at Morton Fraser.

Separation and Divorce

Fiona Sasan and her team have been absolutely wonderful throughout my separation and divorce. I initially wanted to seek advice but things moved very quickly. Fiona had been recommended to me by a friend and I immediately knew I was in very capable hands. Nikki and the rest of the team put up with all the tears and anxiety from me but they were always able to reassure me that matters were progressing. I would have no hesitation in recommending Fiona Sasan and her excellent team.

Great divorce advice

Fiona Sasan at Morton Fraser in Glasgow dealt with my divorce. From our first meeting she put me at ease, having never found myself in this situation before, I didn't have a clue where to begin, Fiona was recommended to me and I am glad I went with the recommendation, I had to deal with a lot of things that took me out of my comfort zone but I never doubted her advice, and as it was a rather complicated situation it did take a while but I was always kept in the loop either by Fiona or other members of the team. Gladly it is all now finalised and I am more than happy with the outcome.

Started a Cohabitation agreement with…

Started a Cohabitation agreement with MF and it was so so so drawn out over a simple minute of agreement it would have lasted much longer if I continued with them. Even after paying few thousand pounds of to and fro back forth, charged per every minute detail of contact. Read 1 email £x, email 1 short reply £x and in my opinion an overly excess charging price system. Then it involved 2 lawyers and that was charged per lawyer per contact. Which I know is normal. But how it was drawn out and ended up nearly £3k total and that's without it being completed as I refused to Co operate further with their ways of communication with me. Even at the end of this they.....in my opinion.... Made me do the longer router unnecessarily to get the job done at a satisfactory manner even though it could have been done in an easier fashion eg don't sign it at the same time as your boyfriend. After he signs it, post it back to us and we will arrange another time date for u to sign it. Nonsense. I told them point blank enough is enough. So didnt complete at the end. Used another company to finish the job off at a satisfactory manner with less pulling it out like an elastic band as much as possible. But still with the same result and in my opinion.... Not being taken for an idiot with too much cash to splash. Nearly 3k for a simple minute of agreement. Aye right. (all this is my own personal opinion only. Not a slating of MF just for the sake of it) wish I used another company to get the job done faster, more efficient and quarter of the price I paid MF. NEVER AGAIN.

Quick response

Quick response, great service, hardworking and responsible staff. If you have issues on your visa application, Morton Fraser is certainly a good option for you.

I received a terrible service from another Immigration Advice company, which lead to the failure on getting my UK partner visa. Then, my friend introduced Morton Fraser to me. Their staff Esther, solicitor Nadia and Stuart provided a brilliant and suitable plan for me. During this experience, they always responded to my message on time, gave me the most professional suggestions, made clear every step of my application.

I feel so lucky to meet this excellent team. I appreciate the effort they made for my case. :)

Useless and incompetent beyond comprehension

In 2012 I used my pension fund to purchase a property and the tenant paid rent via a property manager (CBRE) to my pension fund. The tenant closed down in 2017 and a new tenant started up in their place. The new tenant wanted a lease, however the lease given by Morton Fraser was a carbon copy of the previous lease, and the tenant was quoted £900c. The lease was full of errors, and when these errors were pointed out to Morton Fraser, they issued a new lease (still with errors) and charged the tenant £2400. The tenant refused to sign this new lease unless the errors (wrong address, wrong entry date) were corrected. Morton Fraser then sought legal action to evict the tenant, however this was sisted as the court accepted that the new tenant wanted a lease but the lease was incorrect. Then Covid hit, and NOTHING happened for 18 months...until they sent the tenant yet another lease, still with the same errors, and charged the tenant £1200c. So the tenant, rather than paying rental is having to pay Morton Fraser for their mistakes. They've tried complaining, but complaints fall on deaf ears. They try calling, but call go unanswered. Emails go unanswered. They sent back the lease with a covering letter telling them they'd sign it once it's correct, but even using their prepaid envelope, it wasn't delivered due to insufficient postage, and was returned to the tenant.
Really are a disgraceful outfit.
