I was skeptical at first
I was skeptical at first. But after two consistent weeks of my little one falling asleep without much fuss I was sold. For the last two years Moshi has been part of our bedtime routine. We love the stories and music and the characters.

Moshi has gone downhill for me
I am an adult and used to enjoy the dual levels in maturity of many of the stories. They were for children but witty enough for adults to enjoy them, too. For the last few months the stories are on a level for 3-5 year olds only. The Olympic stories are mainly for young children but seem boring even for them. Stories like The Lost Sock and Ice Cubes in a Drink were so clever and The Moshi Opera and The Lost ZZZs. They were delightful.
Also, new stories are slow to come. Once every two or three weeks. That means having to listen to the same ones too many times and that gets old fast.
Lately I haven’t been listening much and have instead been listening to relaxing music albums I like.
If the present toddler mode in Moshi continues I will probably cancel my membership. Too bad, because adults need help as much as young children, but the choices out there are not good.

This is so great
This is so great! First time I used it with my 8 year-old daughter she was asleep in 10 minutes. She now has her favorite stories she knows will put her to sleep the fastest! Well worth the money!

A mental health tool (for adults!)
I’ve been a daily Moshi user for over 2 years now (Maybe 3?) And I love love love this app!
I know this is targeted to children, but I purchased it for myself. I’m a 24 yo adult with diagnosed anxiety, and when I first discovered this app, it was because I couldn’t sleep at night. My mind was too active and I couldn’t slow it enough to relax and sleep.
One night when I was really struggling, I wished that I could have someone read a bedtime story to me to help me fall asleep - just like my mom used to when I was a kid. But I was 21. It was 4am. And I lived alone in a state far from any family.
Luckily, Google is my best friend, so I tried going online to find someone who could read to me. I spent about an hour watching some terrible YouTube videos and boring audiobooks before finally finding this app.
I’ve listened nightly ever since!
I love the bedtime stories it has, and am able to quickly relax and fall asleep when I listen to them. They help stop my brain from running full speed and focus on a story line… but because the app developers do such a good job at making it relaxing (they use soft voices, talk slowly, and even have calming music, singing, and sound effects), I always end up falling asleep.
Because finances were low, I spent the first year ONLY listening to the free story “Close Your Eyes SleepyPaws” (which is on Spotify if you’re interested!) on repeat. I know the whole thing by heart, but the 15 minute story is long enough, that the visuals in my head still change each time the scenery is explained.
Now, I finally have the paid version. I have endless amounts of stories, music, meditations, sounds, breathing exercises, etc to explore. I have a sleep playlist of my top 5 favorite bedtime stories (and have never been awake to hear all 5 of them play!).
I’ve also recommended this app to a friend with terrible depression and suicidal ideation. That on top of a bad living situation and long work days, I knew her sleep was worse than mine. Since I recommended it, she has thanked me numerous times - saying it has helped her relax, sleep, and fight her insomnia. Again, I know this app is advertised to parents with small children, but it is a seriously powerful tool in the mental health realm, too!
So to summarize, It’s seriously an understatement to say that I love this app. I’ve even looked into working for the company that develops this app, just to help keep it going!
It’s so good and genuinely deserves success in our chaotic and anxiety-driven world. Definitely give it a shot💖

Kids love it ask for it every night and have to admit that it does seem to help them sleep quicker and more peacefully… personally prefer the story ones but can be a bit repetitive for adults other than that I can’t fault it at all does exactly as it says has helped with autism meltdowns too the calm down ones and the breathing. Great app highly recommended we’ll worth yearly subscription

Brilliant my grandaughter is 8 and loves it. It’s been a life saver over what is a very turbulent time. She listens to the story and very rarely makes it to the end. Thankyou Pauline houghton

A great app and a great idea
A great app and a great idea. It has given us a calming and focussed bedtime routine which helps both my 3 and 5 year old get off to sleep much quicker than before. We have also had occassion during lockdown to use the day time stories to have a calm moment during the day.

Absolutely love the Moshi app but too expensive
We absolutely love the Moshi app and use it every night to settle our daughter, she has a Sleepypaws teddy too.
I would rate the app as 5 stars but the excessive price means we only use the free stories now. It's a shame as they offer new stories weekly and we've loved the content but feel it's overpriced.

My children use it every night to get them off to sleep. I use it as well if I wake in the middle of the night and cannot get back to sleep. Absolutely swear by it and love it. Thanks Moshi!!!

Nice app, but not worth the high price.
The good:
* Lovely stories and soundscapes
* New content delivered weekly
* Includes "daytime" options, like relaxation and guided mediation
* Great looking app
The bad:
* VERY expensive - the price has doubled over the past 12 months from an already expensive $45AU to $90AU
* Only a 7-day trial, which isn't really long enough to ascertain whether your little one will get continued use from the app
* No search function
* They've introduced a referral feature, where paying customers must refer friends to take up a free 7-day trial to unlock special tracks. You would hope that paying such a premium price would unlock all features
Verdict:
It's a very nice app that I was previously happy to pay for. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this app because of the exorbitant price rise and introducing unlockable content for paying customers. I have cancelled my subscription.

Great App Built by Great People!
Moshi has been an absolute lifesaver for our family! We have been subscribed for a few years to help my daughter sleep. It never fails!
In 2020, Moshi was instrumental in helping my daughter feel safe and comforted in the midst of the global pandemic. Whenever she would start feeling anxious, she would turn on a meditation, and it helped calm her nerves.
Not only is the app amazing, but the people behind the scenes are incredible! They have built a wonderful community of parents and truly listen to their customers!

We love Moshi!
We have been Moshi for 2 years to help my little girl sleep and it’s become a part of our lives. I love that we can
Listen to old favourites as well as new content all the time that deals with tricky issues such as anxiety, fear and loss in a way that is suitable for little ones and very calming. This will absolutely be the soundtrack to my little girls childhood (and mum and dad find it relaxing too!!)
