It's strange that the reviews are so low. I came here, got a paid subscription, and was chatting with some nice ladies within a few hours. The next weekend, I went out for a date.
A different dating site with only slightly worse reviews was basically a scam, or at best, a waste of time and money. Møteplassen.no is far better than that—maybe not perfect, but there's nothing much to complain about.
So, yes, you do have pay if you want to gain full functionality and have a real chance at getting noticed. But the rates are pretty reasonable. It's like everything else in life. You get what you pay for.
