AVOID

I was made to remove the last review due to threatening emails from this company.

All I can say without threats of defamation is AVOID THIS DEALER AT ALL COSTS.

Please read ALL the reviews and make your own mind up about them.
Terrible experience and only resolved after a case was raised with the small claims court albeit after WE ended up doing all the chasing regarding the warranty.

Suzuki Jimny !

I recently bought an imported Suzuki Jimmy in the Sierra model from Motor4U and the process was completely seamless thanks to Taj.

Communication with Taj was great, he was clear and direct with timing and the processes the car was going through before it was ready to take home!

I liked the authentic feel of the whole dealership - the staff were all lovely!

I’m thankful for Taj’s honesty throughout, there was no pressure, just genuine guidance!

I’m over the moon with my new purchase and couldn’t recommend Motor4U enough.

Thanks guys :D

1 star is too generous

In more than 30 years dealing with the motor trade, I have never come across such a poor operation. Lying about what work has or will be done, lying about the vehicle preparation, misrepresenting finance details to their own benefit, removing features from vehicles, undervaluing part exchanges and selling defective cars.
Once they have your money, they completely change their attitude to awkward and ignorant.
If you buy a car from here, you are a fool.
If you buy a car without any fault, it is only because you haven't found it yet.
They have no trade association for good reason, They know exactly how to operate in such a way, they have little recourse from any governing body.

Trading standards and several other organisations are very aware of this outfit and how they operate. Literally every one we spoke to said "them again!" or "yes, we have had several dealings with them"
This man and his family are con artists, gone bust before for behaving similarly, and will again.
Do not believe a word that comes from their mouths.

Truly shocking place and they deserve everything they get.

Buy at your own peril.

Do your research, get past the "family and friends", and the paid for reviews, dive deep into the real reviews and you will soon see.

There's a very common trend and it is all bad.

The worst dealership I, and many others have ever come across.

Even the small claims court know of them due to the amount of claims filed and ongoing.

We purchased a car and immediately found serious issues, we immediately contacted Motor 4 U and were given the complete run around.
Not once did we get a phone call, just messages of excuses and fob offs. After 2 days we rejected the car. Motor 4 U became even worse, basically doing anything and everything they could to drag it out and they to make the process as difficult and drawn out as possible.
It wasn't until the courts got involved that they immediately resolved the situation, although this took almost 4 months!

The man has no morals and should be ashamed. Some of his staff and ex staff couldn't even stand him because of his actions.

Seriously, do your research and above all else, avoid this place at all costs.

Poor sales technique and inexperience whih is sad since the vehicles look good.…

I thought that I was buying a first rate car backed by a long standing trader albeit wih some very adverse reports. Having an open mind and having purchased the car and after giving the trader every opportunity of answering my queries I have had no reply or feedback whatsoever despite a final warning that I would make my experience know failing a reply which I consdired to be fair and reasonable.
It started well at the time when I expressed my interest since it was the exact model and format of my choice and the nearest dealer with one in stock.
Having stated my interest with funds available I said I would buy the car subject to formalities. I was tehn told that they had more intersted buyers and wanted me to visit and view the car otherwise they would not accept my offer. I then talked to a manager who said they would accept my offer if I paid a deposit which I did. They had never asked for all my particulars until I suggested that they would need them which I sent by email and they produced an invoice. I then sent an email confirming the date and time of arrival to complete the purchase and pay thew balance by Bank transfer. When I arrived almost on the dot I was greeted reasonably well with politeness but with a denial they had received my email - not a good start. Having gone through through fairly lengthy paperwork they had to move lots of cars to access 'mine', This done I viewed the car which was well presented and in excellent condition simliar to the advert. I was familiar with the make and model this being the third I have owned in different formats. I the fuel level - nearly empty and was told this was usual but no prewarning and had I driven away would have run out in about 15 miles so had to fill up a mile away before proceeding. When viewing the documents the next day the MoT cert. given was due to expire in June although I was told that it had a'new MoT' which I had checked via DVLA - expiry Feb. 2027. I have asked why I did have this and where is it - no reply ! It is also fitted with a towbar but sticking out 12" or more without a ball cap - highly dangerous and undisclosed. I queried this - no reply. All in all it is not the cars but some but not all of the sales persons. Not well trained, condescending attitude although many buyers are probably more experienced and a reluctatance to be frank and open. May I suggest that senior management remedy this forthwith otherwise they will have many poor reviews similar to mine and we 'can't all be wrong'.

Avoid any extra plans you are offered

"I am writing this to alert others to the deceptive practices at Motor4u. I was pressured/misled into a Platinum Plan, yet the company has failed to provide the specific deliverables promised at the time of signing. My attempts to resolve this were met with unprofessionalism and contradictory information from their team. Their failure to fulfill the agreement, combined with their dishonest communication, makes it impossible for me to recommend their services. Potential customers should be wary of their sales tactics."

We purchased a vehicle from Motor4U and disappointed

We purchased a vehicle from Motor4U and initially the sales experience was very good. The team were attentive and helpful, and the buying process itself felt smooth and straightforward.

However, once the sale was completed, the level of service dropped significantly.

As part of the verbal agreement, several minor issues were to be addressed along with one major concern — a damaged alloy wheel with visible dents. We were clearly told that the alloy would be properly reinstated.

We then made a 7-hour round trip from Portsmouth specifically to have these works completed, only to be told upon arrival that the alloy repair had not been booked in and that it would simply be “touched up” instead. This was not what had been agreed.

Before leaving, we were assured that if we were not satisfied with the result, they would put it right. Unfortunately, despite following up with messages and prompting for a response, we have received no further communication.

It’s extremely disappointing. The sales service was strong — but aftercare, accountability and follow-through on agreed works have been very poor. A company’s service should not end the moment payment is taken.

so I made the mistake of going to…

so I made the mistake of going to motors 4 u on Saturday to look at buying my daughter a new car. On arriving we were introduced to the owner who seemed very conscientious about the services company provided how long could we have been? We looked at the Car which was advertised as immaculate it had damaged to the offside weighing bumper Will to scuffed or badly referred brake pads were down to the bare minimum and rear offside caliper was seized. The car in itself had a full service history and we went in on the pretense that the false would be repaired or replaced sat down with a young lady called Florence who didn’t seem very keen for us to pay for the car but wanted us to take out finance with admiral finance. I asked why because we get commission if we sign up to finance but the finance deal is 8.9% why would we want to sign up when we’ve got the money here? Well she said if you sign up we get the commission and you can cancel the next month. Oh okay alarm bells were ringing. I didn’t see how that could be right. I’m going to Admiral‘s website found that there’s a cancellation fee of 58 days interest which they categorically denied but never sent this proof of although we asked we were then pressured into buying a £1500 warranty which we said okay too but we’re not completely sure we were gonna do it on speaking to experts with regarding the car we were gonna buy they convinced us that the warranty would not be necessary for a Car of that year. So then we went back to the company today to say we would like to pay for the car in full and would not like to take the warranty out to our surprise they then rescinded on doing any of the work that they’ve already agreed to do saying that there are plenty of people who are willing to buy it as it was. I do hope if you are trying to buy an LD A1 from this company, please look at it carefully as you cannot trust them and please do not use a Sales woman called Florence who is very nice whilst she’s looking to get good commission out of you but as soon as you decide, you don’t want to take finance or warranty turns very nasty sorry but I do believe this company to be of a bad moral standard and have no ethics

Ended up with £3k repair bill!! Warranty useless

Unfortunately I had to change my original review from 5 stars to 1 as I ended up with a £3000 repair bill!!!!
The car had a major fault on the air conditioning and despite being reassured this was covered by the warranty it wasn't.
When I purchased the Jaguar I pace in March of 2025 the weather was very cold and the air conditioning was not needed. There was a relatively warm spell a couple of weeks later when I discovered the air conditioning was only blowing warm air.
I rang motors4u and they asked me to bring the car for repair.
The garage is some 20 miles away and this happened twice. They said it was a valve and they had replaced it.
Both times the air conditioning worked for a couple of days and then just blew warm air.
I was becoming increasingly concerned as the air conditioning is a crucial part of the battery cooling system when supercharging the car.
I rang again and started to speak to a man called "Omar" who said they do not have an engineer to power down the main drive battery. This would need to be done to properly inspect the air conditioning behind the front drive motor. I was told to take it to Jaguar Landrover in Ayelsford for a diagnostic and repair.
Why I had to do this I do not know as I had already been back and forth to motors4u several times taking time out of my work schedule.
Jaguar completed a diagnostic on the i pace and confirmed the ac pipes were cracked from the compressor and the cost of repair was £3000. I already had to pay £170 for the diagnostic.
I rang motors4u and spoke to Omar again and he said not to worry this will be covered by the warranty and he would speak to Jaguar Ayelsford. I asked him "Do i need to activate the warranty?"
His reply was "The warranty has already been activated."
After a week I was told the car was repaired and ready to collect.
I tried to call Omar and left several messages for him that he never replied to. He was all of a sudden never available.
When I arrived at Jaguar Ayelsford I was presented with the bill for repair, and told them that I had been assured by motors4u that the warranty was covering the repairs.
No this was all a complete fabrication and Jaguar said if I do not pay the bill they would not release the car. I was so embarrassed and desperately needed my car.
I paid the bill and then contacted the warranty company, they confirmed they never heard of this problem with the car and it was me that would have to claim the repairs and not motors4u.
The problem the warranty company had was their terms and conditions state that I have to make them aware of the fault within 14 days of the fault occurring. Omar had me under the illusion that he was speaking to the warranty company. This was the complete opposite of what I had been told by Omar. I would never have repaired the car If I had known. Who can afford a repair bill of £3000 out of the blue.
I tried to call Omar again several times but he was "never available" and never returned my calls.
This has left me feeling foolish and made a mockery of as I have never had to use a warranty before and was following guidance from motors4u.
This completely destroyed my experience of buying a car I had dreamed of owning and feel deceived by motors4u.
My only course of action now is going through moneyclaimonline to try and recoup my money through the courts. I have all the evidence including garage reports, warranty reports and phone call evidence between Omar and myself.
It is unfortunate this is something I have to do as I am not a confrontational person but have been left with no choice!

Aviod using or buying from this…

Aviod using or buying from this company. Trading standards are going to be used before small claims court if the issue with spare key isn't resolved Initial sale of car was okay. I was told there was a second key and they would get it found. Later told there wasn't a second key and this would have been factored into car price.
Never dealt with a company so unhelpful and dishonest. The reviews speak volumes and hopefully potential buyers with read before considering purchasing from here.

Disappointed.

Disappointed.

I spotted a car that seemed to meet our requirements. They stated that the car was just having a bit of work carried out but if I call back in an hour, they can let me know if it’s ready.

I called up after an hour and was informed that it’s ready. Got everyone in the car and drove to the garage. I was then informed that the car is not ready, front wing missing and on jacks but we still checked the car and paper work to not waste the journey.

I was then informed the car will be ready by Monday, this then became Tuesday and then Friday but I will get a call as soon as it’s ready.

I called on Friday and they informed me that someone is test driving it now. The work has only been completed in the last few hours and a new costumer had jumped the queue and bought the car.

I feel like I have been messed around with due to poor communication. They did state that if I was interested I should have secured the car with a deposit but this does not seem logically when it’s missing a panel and on jacks and anyway I was awaiting there call through the whole process.

Very poor service

Jeep Trailhawk puchased and delivered on flatbed - I attended the day before to pick up as arranged but car wasn't ready. Taken off trailer, switched on for first time and engine light comes on. Error codes previously deleted before going on trailer. Loss of confidence in car before even driving it. Car returned on flatbed.

Car searching

We went to look for a new car, very pleased that the sales people left us alone to take our time to look at all the different cars. When we went to speak to them they were helpful. A nice experience, thanks
