The finish to our 4 year old BMW is…

The finish to our 4 year old BMW is excellent and it looks like it has not been touched since it came out of the factory. I was directed to Motorcorner by my insurer and had resevations at first. However Sam put my mind at rest and I could not be more pleased with the whole job from begining to end. Well done Sam and the team.

Terrible experience!

Terrible experience!
When booking in for a very minor repair I was told it would take 3 days including collection and redelivery of car. Car was not collected until 12.15 on day one. I called on day 3 (Friday)for an ETA to get the car back and was told it hadn't been logged as needing to be back in that time, had not been painted and wouldn't be ready until Monday and probably wouldn't be brought back until Tuesday. I live in an area with no public transport and this has left me in great inconvenience not to have my car for another 4 days! not to mention impacting on my employment as I can't get to work. Motorcorner Ltd do not care about any of that. I should have realised as when booking in it was mentioned that they didn't like to come to my area on Fridays and Mondays because of the traffic.

I am sorry that you are frustrated with our level of service. As I tried to explain to you on Friday, we would have hoped that the repairs will take 3 days, however this would have not been set in stone as there are always outside factors, such as parts delay, further damaged identified etc, so we always say that this is an approximate time for repairs and not 100% guaranteed. If this did not come across, then I can only apologise. Our system automatically generates an estimated completion date (ECD) based on the hours that were generated by our estimate (manufacturer generated times) once it arrives on site, and in the case of your vehicle, this ECD is Monday 14th August. You say it was minor damage, which it was, however, this does not mean that it is a 5 minute job. We have to strip the vehicle down, the rear bumper in your case was removed from the vehicle, remove all of the components, repair the damaged area, prep the damaged area, paint the damaged area, refit the removed components, refit the bumper to the vehicle, polish the repaired area, clean the vehicle inside and out and then carry out a final quality control. This is a lengthy process which we take pride in completing to the highest standards.

With regards to the collection time of your vehicle, you were called the afternoon before your booking in date to say that we would call you again on the morning of your booking, as with several other customers booked in on the same day, when we would arrange a collection time with you. You are based nearly 50 miles away from us, and as you pointed out, along the M5. It would have been inefficient for me to send 2 drivers out to you any earlier than we did, as it would have been a waste of valuable time for them to be on the M5 southbound in heavy traffic following an earlier motorway closure and more sensible to carry out the local collections first. As for returning the vehicle, a small joke was made with you about nobody wanting to be travelling along the M5 on a summer Friday afternoon.

We really do care about what we do here at Motorcorner, and the last thing any of us wants, is to not provide a satisfactory service to all of our customers. I believe your review is the first negative one I have received online in over 25 years, one too many in my opinion. We do our upmost to provide a friendly and professional service, one you have not found to meet your expectations, which I can only apologise again for.

As I have already mentioned, the ECD for the completion of your repairs is Monday 14th August, and once the vehicle has had its final quality control, we will be in touch to make delivery arrangements.
