DO NOT BUY FROM MOTOROLA
I am reluctant to even give them one star. Genuinely the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Never ever buy a product from them.
I was given a razr 40 ultra as a Christmas gift after three months the external display stopped working. I took the phone to a local approved repair centre and was advised to return to Motorola for repair as it was still under warranty
I received an email from them telling me my warranty was now void due to a small dent on the screen which looked like screen burn and if I wanted it repaired it would cost £650!!!! If I didn’t want it repaired I would have to pay £30 to have it returned to me!!!!
Shocking service from a dreadful company. Moral of the story- stick with Apple, at least you know upfront what it’s going to cost
DO NOT GET A MOTOROLA PHONE
DO NOT GET A MOTOROLA PHONE
The worst phone I have ever had, and the the worst customer service! No wonder they have only have a 1 star rating.
Be prepared to wait up to 4 WEEKS for a refund, or courier collection of your handset!???
If being valued and supported are an important part of your customer service experience, then Motorola/Lenovo are not the company for you! But if being lied to, blatantly ignored and grenerally having your time wasted are key aspects of how you want to be treated, then these clowns are consumate professionals!
I will never understand how an organisation that created something as amazing as the Razr 60 Ultra, also came up with this diabolical, unprofessional shambles of a so called customer service proposition. Unless they paid external consultants to create the phone in question.
I've been trying for over a week to cancel an order and still no-one has had the decency to contact me and make this happen, instead, all I've had is lies and delays and blatantly being ignored.
I truly recommend the phone, but not the joke of a Company, therefore, happily buy it from a professinonal third party seller, but you do not hate yourself enough to involve the Clowns at Motorola, an absolute disgrace of an organisation in your purchase! One to avoid...
As previous reviews do not buy from Motorola, if there is a problem… good luck!
As many previous reviews have warned, I would strongly advise against buying from Motorola.
I ordered a phone in December, but there was an issue with delivery. I contacted customer support via WhatsApp and spoke with someone named Viktoria. Since they couldn’t give me any clear delivery date, I requested a refund, which was confirmed. However, 10 days later, the phone still arrived anyway.
From that point on, dealing with the company was extremely frustrating. There is no proper way to speak to a real person—everything is handled through WhatsApp or email, and responses can take days. When I tried contacting Lenovo UK (as they are connected), I was told to contact a different Motorola/Lenovo email, which just added to the confusion.
Every response I received was a generic message like:
“Your case has been moved to the relevant team” or
“Your case has been flagged as urgent”
In reality, nothing was resolved.
Complaints were ignored, and I was left chasing updates for months. In the end, I had to involve my bank (I paid by debit card), who were very helpful. After more than 3 months of emails, delays, I finally managed to return the phone and receive a refund.
Overall, a very poor customer service experience and not one I would want to repeat.
Motorola Returns - Just don't buy from them directly.
Ordered a phone from Motorola UK, it arrived on time but was faulty (bottom speaker didn't work). I requested a return on their sales support form online, to which I received a reply within 24 hours stating that someone from the refunds team would be in touch, but that it would take "days". Several ignored replies from me to them, and WhatsApp chats that lead nowhere and I still haven't been able to return the phone 4 weeks later.
If anything goes wrong they are absolutely awful and simply won't help. You can't even perform a chargeback because they require proof of a return being accepted.
Bad bad bad. Don't buy from them directly.
I do think their phones are good quality though, so buy from a reputable store like Argos. Don't buy from them directly.
My Motorola flip phone's screen failed…
My Motorola flip phone's screen failed after a year. Returned it for repair under warranty. They refused to repair it, as a small piece of the trim around the hinge had come loose (due to poor build quality), claiming that this was due to an impact, which it definitely wasn't. Exactly the same piece of trim failed on my son's Motorola flip phone after two weeks of ownership. Clearly their phones are not fit for purpose and they will use any excuse to avoid paying out on warranty claims
Do not use this Company
Returned mobile phone unopened to Motorola, had confirmation they received it, on 18th February said refund was processed, 4 weeks later no refund and an absolute nightmare to get hold of anyone, despite several bot chats which are absolutely useless and eventually several live what's app messages , still no idea where my refund is , please do not purchase from Motorola, you will regret it,...
I've been a fan of Motorola for a few…
I've been a fan of Motorola for a few years. It started with Z2 version with moto mods (attached speaker), then Z3, then G23 and now i'm lookong forward to upgrade once again but can't find a right smartphone with Triple Tray (dual physical SIM + memory card). I was extremwly disappointed after receiving G75 and realising it doesn't have double physical SIM. It's pity this company doesn't give me any other choice than abandon it. Sayonara.
This company is problematic to get hold…
This company is problematic to get hold of, shame they used to be great. Customer service is AI jargon and there is no phone number active anymore. Looks like Motorola is going to die again. Stuck with a device I can't use and can't access help. I'm 40 and just want a resolution and can't get one.
I would just like to take this…
I would just like to take this opportunity to give credit where credit is deserved........... Evdokia is an a absolute credit to Motorola she has been absolutely fantastic with her friendly and warm customer service and professionalism. From the very start working on my case Evdokia has always kept in touch with me on a regular basis keeping me updated and she has always gone that extra mile to make sure my enquiry is being dealt with. Thankyou so much again Edvokia for all your help! 10/10.
I rarely write reviews
I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Motorola’s returns and customer service has been extremely disappointing.
It has now been over six weeks since I returned my item and requested a refund, and the issue still hasn’t been resolved. During this time, I have contacted customer support multiple times, only to receive the same repeated responses without any real progress or clear explanation of what is happening.
About four weeks ago, I was assured that the issue would be sorted out shortly, but nothing has changed since then. The lack of communication, transparency, and follow-through has left me completely in the dark about the status of my refund.
As someone who almost never leaves reviews, it says a lot that I felt the need to share this experience. I hope Motorola improves its returns process and customer support, because the current level of service has been very frustrating.
Have been trying to return a phone soon…
Have been trying to return a phone soon after purchase for the last 3 months. Customer service is pretty much non-existent. When my email is finally answered, it does not solve the issue, but prolongs it by putting up barriers. PLEASE CAN I RETURN THIS PHONE.
Slow return process, do not buy from this store
Don't buy from this store as if you want to return as you'll be put through weeks of stress due to their incompetence! I ordered a g86 power from black Friday sale. Using it over the Christmas period I found a number of issues with it mainly the video camera audio being very poor. I emailed the support and tried what they told me, even resetting the phone with their repair software. Nothing fixed it and they offered a repair, not a replacement. I felt since the phone was brand new a repair would be a bad idea so wanted to return it as faulty which is part of the consumer rights act. After I stated this, I had to wait 2 weeks just for that return request to be accepted by their "appropriate" department. When it was accepted I had to wait a further 3 weeks just for the TNT return label. So 5 weeks just for a return label! Then another week for the return to be sent back to the Netherlands, and a further 5 days for the refund to clear. So overall a long drawn out process making me never want to touch a Motorola phone again.
Just a simple return after 7 days of…
Just a simple return after 7 days of purchasing, still no further down the line after weeks, did get one email saying there were 'severe delays' but I need to know what is happening...I might be better selling the item on eBay as everyone on here says a return can be virtually impossible and very worrying that it might get lost in the system. I think I could run the Motorola customer service dept better with just me and a laptop....if you need help Moto , call me.....lol
I purchased a phone from Motorola and…
I purchased a phone from Motorola and received no confirmation, no order number, and no tracking info. On top of that, the phone was shipped from the Netherlands, not the UK, meaning they are selling products they clearly don’t have in stock locally. This is misleading, unprofessional, and completely frustrating. For a global brand, this lack of communication and transparency is shocking—I will think twice before ever ordering from Motorola again.
I have just had a very positive experience with Motorola CS
I have just had a very positive experience with Motorola CS. My Razr 40 Ultra screen broke on the fold. I have sent the device back for repair and to my surprise the screen was replaced within a day and sent back the following day. I even recipient a phone call from CS rep to check if my device got back to me safely .
There customer service is the worst I…
There customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with, impossible to speak to anyone, trying email is impossible and won't help you the just say it's out of their hand or they are reviewing the situation, but they never get back to you refusing to replace or refund, avoid at all costs
Motorola do not warrant their products
Motorola simply do not stand by their products. They have told me they have a blanket exclusion on their warranty for *any* physical defects. That's simply not a tenable legal position.
Specifically they sell foldable phones with manufacturing and design defects - the Razr range. When claiming on the warranty due to a failed element of the hinge and a failed screen they refused to honour the warranty as it was "physical" damage which they always deem to be customer caused.
Motorola send used phones as new
Motorola send brand new phones not sealed as new.
Unsealed, not new, a return, used or refurbished phone instead. This breaches consumer law.
They will not even partially refund the Edge Fusion 50, which I believe is now discontinued.
The company has taken weeks and it is still not fully resolved.
I buy products from manufacturers, they are the worst. Lenovo who now own them are another one to be weary of.
Not worth 1 star
Not worth 1 star, zero customer service, no replies to email, no refund.
Stuck with a phone I don't want, can't get a return form.
Beware before buying from them .
I used my amex card so I'm hoping to get a charge back, but don't know where to return the phone.
