Great company to deal with
I am not the most confident person when it comes to buying cars. This is now the second car I have bought from motorpoint Maidstone,if this car is as good as the first one I bought I will be really happy.
As for the service Tina is extremely professional in what she does, she make buying a car look so easy. On handover was shown control's still learning that bit so thanks to the chap who showed me sorry I didn't catch you name. Darcy is again so calm and no pressure sale the whole team are friendly and happy to help. Sally Anne you are a great asset to motorpoint company always happy and positive. It's great to do business with you all again.

He provided me with all the information I needed, answered my questions clearly, and kept me informed throughout the process, which gave me a lot of confidence and reassurance.
When I arrived at the Maidstone branch, the whole team was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was positive from the moment I walked through the door. Buying the car from motorpoint was good as this is the 3rd one I have bought from them.handover at chingford branch was great in and out in 25-30 minutes.then I went for a handover of car at Maidstone what a a difference over a hour this wasn't stress free at the end she said I hope I don't see you again

A professional and helpful experience
A professional and helpful experience.
From start to finish Darcy Barton couldn’t have been more helpful, making sure every question I had about the car I was buying was answered to my satisfaction. When I went to the collect the car it had been cleaned to showroom standard and looked like a new car. Even after I’d had the car a couple of days Darcy contacted me to make sure I was happy with everything.
I would recommend motorpoint.

Liars and misleading customers
Really disappointed with my experience at Motorpoint Maidstone.
I took my 2021 BMW 330e in for inspection and the sales manager told me the EV battery system needed replacing and that the car would need to go back under warranty. This was presented to me as if it was a confirmed major fault, despite there being no warning lights on the dashboard and the code itself being marked as intermittent rather than permanent.
I was then told to take the car to a local garage for further checks. After doing that, the code was cleared, the car was driven and charged again, and the fault has not returned. The garage all but confirmed there was no active issue with the vehicle.
What also stood out to me was how many cars were being rejected while I was there. I was in the branch for around 30 minutes and saw at least 3 other cars rejected in that time alone, with customers being told to take their vehicles to We Buy Any Car instead. The whole process felt extremely rushed, with worst-case scenarios being thrown around without proper investigation, almost as if problems were being guessed at rather than properly diagnosed.
To make matters worse, communication afterwards was awful. I called Motorpoint Maidstone multiple times and nobody answered. I also tried contacting the salesperson I had been dealing with after being told they would be available all day, but again got no response.
The sales manager and this company are quite possibly the worst I’ve ever dealt with. In my opinion the whole experience felt extremely misleading, with customers being unnecessarily alarmed and worst-case scenarios being presented as fact before proper diagnostics had even been carried out.
I completely understand that dealers need to be cautious with hybrid vehicles, but I do not think it is acceptable to tell customers their EV battery needs replacing without properly confirming the issue first. Overall the experience caused unnecessary stress, wasted a lot of my time and left me feeling completely misled.

Motorpoint warranty a joke
I bought a very nice and quite new second hand Nissan Qashqai and decided a warranty would be a good idea so paid an extra £900 for the warranty. Everything was fine and I really liked my new car. Six months later out of the blue while driving on a cold wintry night the car overheated and lost power due to a broken thermostat casing. There was absolutely no warning - no warning lights flashing, nothing at all to alert us to what was happening.
And now shockingly we have been told that the car needs a new engine and our warranty does not cover the cost because the car overheated and that we shouldn’t have driven a car that was overheating even though we were unaware of the situation. Motorpoint are taking no responsibility for what happened and so we have lost a huge amount of money and have no car.
