Disappointing aftersale help

Great experience actually purchasing the car and the salesman was great and helpful.

Since pick up day it went downhill. Booked a collection appointment and was left waiting for 45 minutes in the waiting area, even when we asked staff what the delay was we were told "we'll find someone to help now" with no avail. In the end another staff member felt sorry for us and sorted the collection out themselves.

Found a fault with the air con within the same week was told to take it to Kwik fit for a regas and Motorpoint will cover this. Kwikfit confirmed aircon leak.

Reported it back to Motorpoint and was told it has to go back to the manufacturer as covered by warranty. Had to take time off work as the manufacturer could only do day time appointments.

In our opinion, we bought a faulty product and Motorpoint should have taken ownership and fixed the issue. If it needed to go back to manufacturer this should have been something for Motorpoint to sort. Would not buy a car from them again, as once we had the car we were fobbed off to the manufacturer. If we bought a faulty appliance from another store, they would have taken ownership of the issue and not shipped us about to other garages!

We are truly sorry to hear that your experience after collection did not meet your expectations, especially with the delays and the air conditioning issue. We acknowledge your frustration regarding the handling of the fault and the need to take time off work for manufacturer appointments. As the vehicle is under manufactures warranty, we would not want to replace/change anything that could void the vehicles warranty by attempting a repair.

Nevertheless, we are so sorry that you had an issue with the vehicle and always look to improve our service. Thankyou for your feedback.

Best Car shopping experience I've ever had

On arriving, staff were friendly and always on hand to help throughout the day.
I was there for hours but it felt like minutes. Special mention for Marc, he made the experience great, super helpful, very chilled, didn't feel pressured like you can sometimes experience when buying a car.
Collecting my new car was easy and staff helped with the process of handing over my old car and making sure I knew what to cancel.

The day of picking up my new car it…

The day of picking up my new car it hadn’t been cleaned inside or out as promised.
I part ex’d my car but was owed money. I was paid a value but was paid short. I had to chase & chase to get this paid.

On purchasing a vehicle from the…

On purchasing a vehicle from the company with in days we notified them of a problem they suggested to take it to the main dealership and if they could not fix the problem come to motor point. It took mg over six weeks to fit us in and could not resolve the problem so went back to motor point who said because of the time they couldn’t do anything but offered to part exchange with a considerable loss .

This was my fourth car from motorpoint…

This was my fourth car from motorpoint so was well versed in how they work. The price is on the car so you take it or leave it, and the prices are quite good. The PX might be negotionable, but not a lot. It's a no frills car sales outlet and remember the sales staff get a bonus on each one the sell. The first salesman wasn't much good and could,nt produce the service record for the car. The second did in minutes and I bought the car.
